Welcome back to Frog of the Week! Sorry for the delay... It's been a bit longer than I thought, let's get back on track. Submit a picture of your frog and its name for a chance to be featured in the next post! Will close in about 2 weeks or end of month, will decide soon!

Congratulations to Vercingetorix (r/laenxam)

Mod post New automations regarding NSFW and glove handling posts influx.
With the influx of posts containing sensitive photos that should be marked as NSFW I have made new implementations. I have made it so anytime you try to post on this sub, you are met with a warning to mark your post with NSFW or to not post at all. I hope this helps with the influx of shocking frog imagery some of you are met with by accident if myself or other mods can’t get to it in time. But of course people will still disregard this message and the rules because it’s the internet. We also don’t want to block all these posts into a queue just in case there is a medical emergency. (Which should be dealt with by a vet but we still allow discussion) but some people still need that message or confirmation of “Hey you NEED to go to a vet for this” so we do not want to block that outright.
Not all of the mods are super active, I tend to be one of the top mods doing the most removal/ nsfw markings as I can to help the sub but if we miss something please report it so we can see asap! We can’t do it alone, we need your help too!
However as a moderator, and even our sub owner, there are certain things Reddit doesn’t have automations for. We would love an automated system that if a post has keywords it is automatically marked as NSFW, but that is not a possibility we can do. If you can please suggest this to Reddit themselves, it would help so many animal communities regarding sensitive posts such as these.
That being said if there are any ideas or implementations you think we should add to this subreddit let me know by commenting it below. I would love to discuss on how to make this sub a better and more fun place for everyone.
Edit:
Please also read some of my comments I’ve said on this post already as well before posting an idea, since I have replied to a few for reasons why and why can’t we do something.

Agalychnis Dacnicolor
I found this guy in the dirty streets of Guadalajara downtown after my brother almost stepped on it by mistake. I found deep love for these little creatures and often dream of frogs ever since.
It's name Is Gilberte Aphex Twin, the vet says he Is very healthy. I was worried It was bloated but the vet said It's fine and It remains active and eating. I even feel like It recognizes me as It's feeder.
Now I know the species Is Agalychnis Dacnicolor, Its such a joy watching it go nuts at night in Its space. Such a dynamic little guy.

Sick/ Deceased Frog Dumpy frog's skin has green discoloration / potential skin infection? NSFW
Hey just got home from my night shift and found murky here's skin not looking too great. I'm a bit worried and I'm currently trying to find an exotic vet near me but theyre arent many. It looked like he left a big poop in his water bowl and maybe that's the cause of this? There's also a weird black spot that I'm not sure what it's from. Is this something that could be fatal? Other then find a vet what more can I do for him?

frog friends
Lifelong frog lover but too scared to take on the responsibility of a real frog, so I'm sharing my frogs that sit on my piano. Trying to channel Claude Debussy or Edvard Grieg and maybe play as well one day lol. Their love of frogs was evident as they both kept trinket frogs on the piano or in their pocket while composing/performing.

Tree Frog Firewood storage? Nope, it's a greenie house now!
We keep a little bit of firewood in here for when the weather is wet. There have been at least seven greenies hanging out every time I have opened it recently. As you can see, they aren't bothered by me at all.

Tree Frog 2x2x2 for whites tree frogs?
Currently planning enclosures for different species of reptiles, amphibians and inverts for when I move out, is a 2x2x2ft big enough for a pair of whites tree frogs, or should I aim for bigger? I want to be giving all my future animals enclosures that exceed the minimums, so if it sounds small, please be honest. I don't want to be wasting money on enclosures that are gonna be outdated care in a few years, I want to feel 100% confident that they will have enough space.
Honestly I feel they should probably have more vertical space, being tree frogs, but I've never kept frogs so I might just be spouting nonsense
(Disclaimer - I will be doing proper, in depth, scientifically backed research on all species I plan to keep before I get them, as I have done for all of my animals past and present. I'm just trying to figure out rough enclosure sizes at the moment, and lots of sources say different sizes, especially for anything thats not a mammal)

Bull Frog African bullfrog burrowing all the time.
I have a question. My 5 Month old african bullfrog is burrowing since months and he has eaten seven weeks ago. I have to dig him up every few weeks. Is this normal? I have 30 degres Celsius and 70% humidity. In his first terrarium he ate every day and now nothing. Not even a dubia roach. If i sit him in his water bath he poops. He has nothing in his terrarium except coconut fiber and water bowl. #NSFW Edit: The picture was made almost 3 weeks ago. Yeah i have no gloves but he still chilled on my hand. :)
