Newbie logging question
galleryNewbie here, just bought a large property with a Kubota 40hp tractor, and have these implements from the prior owner. What are they and how are they used?
I believe they’re more or less for log pulling, the second attaching to 3-point hitch. Can anyone point me to instructionals on this equipment?

Region Name Who worked or works forestry in pocosins?
I'm a retired forester, I worked my first 10 years with International Paper on the NC coast at New Bern, then 4 years with Crescent Resources on lakes Jocassee, Keowee and Russell in upstate SC and the remaining almost 40 years as a self employed consulting forester also in upstate SC and Georgia. The 10 years with IP was in 165,000 acres of mostly pond pine pocosin, Carolina bays and swamps. Those days running cruise lines in pocosin bush and briars, under clouds of mosquitos and crawling with ticks were almost unbearable. Nothing I did in 40 years of forestry after that 20 years is remotely comparable. I'm wondering if any here also spend many long days in the pocosins?
