The Balancing has begun!

The latest update addressed the resilience feature that has meant absolutely nothing since the app transition. Everyone has been "low" since around May because they clearly hadn't figured out what resilience actually means to them since they changed it from being the stress management score. Google support actually commented on my post about it a few months ago saying they were aware of the issue and were working on it, it's cool to see they actually did, though it's unclear what they changed in the metrics for resilience. Or maybe it will just be balanced from here on out ?

Discussion Has anyone seen confirmation on whether the Fitbit Edge will support seamless swapping with the Fitbit Air?

Hey everyone,

Since the Fitbit Edge isn’t out yet, I haven't found a definitive answer on this.

Right now, switching between my Pixel Watch 5 and Fitbit Air on the same account/phone is completely seamless. I’m planning to add the Fitbit Edge once it launches, but I want to make sure juggling the Air and Edge together won't require constantly pairing and unpairing.

Has anyone spotted any official confirmation, leak, or documentation confirming how well multiple dedicated trackers (specifically Air + Edge) will coexist on a single account?

Thanks!

I was sick during the red circle, fever and congestion. After recovering seemingly, I was decently active. During the time I didnt have the watch I forgot to wear and been waking up every day yawning so much.

Now I wake up feeling great and want to workout again. I haven't been active in 5 ish days. Do I really need to listen to this thing?

Discussion Can you tell when my son had surgery? My resting heart rate really shows stress and lack of sleep.

My son had surgery earlier this month. I thought it was interesting to see how my RHR changed by the stress of it all. I'm a solo mom so it was a lot. I'm also on multiple steroids for asthma so my RHR is quite high, but my doctor is aware and not concerned.

Discussion Coach certainly has potential but it's too clunky and made worse by having access to outside LLMs

I'm in my final two weeks of half marathon prep and coach has provided some good plans but simple things like "what does next week look like?" when it gets confused by what day of the week a week starts, is really tedious. I asked for a breakdown of my last ten runs and it got all of the distances wrong. It also suggested I do a really long run 7 days out, which is incorrect advice.

It's so much easier to paste a record of a run into Gemini and plan the next two weeks out because it doesn't get stuck on itself and make mistakes.

I wonder if Google should just cut their losses here and just allow data sharing into the Gemini app directly and engage that way?

Self Promotion A better Google health app?

Hi all,

I keep seeing posts here from people who find their data in the Google Health app hard to make sense of. I'm in the same boat, so over the past few weeks I built **Healthier**: an open-source web app that connects to your Google Health account and shows your data in what I hope is a cleaner, more understandable way.

I know others have shared similar projects here, but none quite fit what I needed, so I made my own. It covers sleep, activity, heart rate, HRV, weight and more, and it runs in any browser, on a phone or a computer. It reads whatever feeds your Google Health account: Fitbit and Pixel watches, Android apps, even Apple Health on an iPhone.

**How to try it**

- **Host it yourself.** The code is on GitHub: https://github.com/cbukenya/healthier (AGPL-3.0). It runs with Docker, and your data stays on your own server.

- **Use the hosted version.** If you'd rather not run a server, there's an instance at https://healthiercloud.com. It's in early testing, so access is by request: email developer@healthiercloud.com from the Google account you use with Google Health. I'll add you to the test group and email you when you can sign in.

- **Just look around.** Choose **Demo mode** on the sign-in screen to explore a year of made-up data. No account needed.

**What it's built on**

- **Transparency.** An app that reads your health data should explain itself. Scores and insights show their working: the body battery, for example, lists what raised and lowered it.

- **Your data is yours.** Healthier only asks Google for read-only access. Your data is stored only on the server running the app, used for nothing else and never shared, and you can delete it from the Data tab at any time. (On healthiercloud.com, that server is mine.)

- **No AI in the insights.** There's no AI coach and no model guessing about your health. Every score and insight is plain arithmetic you can trace back to your own readings, and the same data always gives the same answer. AI can help write better algorithms, but letting it analyse your data directly would turn the insights into a black box.

- **Built in the open.** This is a first version, and some algorithms won't be as scientifically accurate as they could be yet. The idea is to improve them together, in public: anyone can open an issue, question an approach or suggest something better.

**A bit about me**

I'm a software engineer from Sweden with over 10 years of experience building apps like this, including time at one of the leading makers of fitness and health devices. Healthier draws on that experience, except this time the work is out in the open instead of behind closed doors.

**Where I'd love help**

- **Data science.** I'm not a data scientist, and I leaned heavily on AI tools to help write some of the algorithms. If you work with this kind of data, I'd really value your review, critique and improvements.

- **Translations.** It's English only for now. Every word lives in one file per language, so adding a language mostly means translating a single file.

Healthier is a wellness and data-visualisation tool, not a medical device.

Thanks for reading. All feedback is welcome, here or on GitHub.

Tech Support How to delete other watch data from google health

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi so basically i used to have "Cmf watch pro 2" its by "Nothing" brand if u know it

And when i got my fitbit air yesterday i logged in and somehow i chose health something and now I see my cmf watch data in my app...

I don't want to see older data of cmf watch .

So is there a way to remove those without effecting current data of fitbit air in the app?

(the photo is demonstration of how the app got data of previous days sleep while i just receives fitbit air yesterday)

About 3am woke up to a visible sleep paralysis demon made out of darkness pushing on my chest. Terrified. Screamed two long "horror movie screams" at the top of my lungs. Partner came running from downstairs

Jumped from deep sleep into awake, heartrate peaked at 125. It's in grey, presumably because it looks like an anomaly and gets averaged out

I've been sick all week and mostly on couch, and went to bed much later than usual, perfect recipe for this

Still says my sleep quality was fair 😎

Tech Support Syncing Error related question.

Every-time my Fitbit syncs to the app this message shows up. Does it affect the numbers? And how to resolve the error?

The error:
Syncing error (on top)

Something went wrong. Try again. (Error code: 16)
(This on bottom)

Both disappear after 1-2 seconds.
And every health information loads okay.
What to do?

Discussion Fitbit air when your not wearing your Apple Watch

So many threads talking about wearing them at the same time but I’m thinking of buying a Fitbit air for those days where I’m in the office or out for a night out and don’t want my Apple Watch.

Anyone doing this. I’m looking for Google health to talk to Apple and then onto bevel?

Discussion AI Coach completely checked after 2 week travel

I finally gave in and started using the AI Coach feature about 6 months ago. We’d actually gotten to a really good place where it was helpful and, dare I say, inspirational. I had to travel for 2 weeks for work and it knew this and we had a game plan - survival mode, lol. Anyway, I get back and after my first workout I wanted to ask a few questions and was curious how’d I done after 2 weeks away….well, I came back to a complete stranger. All the work from the past 6 months is gone. It doesn’t remember anything and is the direct opposite of even remotely helpful. It’s completely lost the “tone” even. I even checked in some on my trip but it apparently didn’t matter. Anyone else experience this or do we all just hate the ai coach, lol
