Never seen this and can’t find photos of another facelift coupe that has the extra drop for the inner bulbs

Apparently this (whatever this is ) was causing my E46 sedan to leak water , idk what is this, do you guys have any clue what this piece is used for in the cooling system ? Or did my service actually ripped me off 🥲

1st car is mine, apart from drift style/drift larp what type of style is this. (Before I get flamed front fitment will be lowered a bit more it’s not staying exactly like that)

Hello Guys ,
i wanted to ask for your opinion.
Do you guys see potential for a Restomod Company to take on the E46 and do a Restomod of it ?
In my opnion it has all the ingredients for it. Timeless design , excellent driving dynamics . The only thing that makes it not so special like a Porsche for example would be that there are plenty of them out there. It doesnt have the rare factor and the prestige.
What do you guys think , im very interested in the topic.

Just wanting to get some opinions on these local examples,
The 2000 323i is more appealing to me as a model mostly because of the engine and it being a sedan. This example not having a sunroof is also a huge plus for me. It's listed for $2600USD and has 192k miles (310k kms) on the clock. The listing has more info and it's second owner for over a decade, only thing I noticed was the airbag light being on and covered with tape but it has also had the sump and valve cover gaskets, water and power steering pump and radiator hoses done.
The 2005 320Ci is my next pick from what's available, the exterior is apparently in slightly worse condition, it has a somewhat sagging liner and the listing hasn't got as much information on it but it's for $3100USD with 129k miles (208k kms). From the pictures I didn't see anything of immediate note but obviously would be looking at it in person anyway.
I'm just wondering what you guys think would be the better pick? Personally I feel like the M52TU loaded sedan suits my needs more than the coupe, but it's higher mileage + airbag light does make me wonder. I am aware of the things that need to be replaced in these cars and the sorts of extra things that one of higher mileage need to have checked, if I had more info on them I would add it but I'm just putting out feelers.

Good morning ladies and gentleman,
I have a 2001 E46 320Ci with 143k km and I'm about to install a B12 pro kit all around.
While I'm in there I'll refresh every suspension/control arm/tie rod component there is to make the car feel new.
This is my weekend car I've owned and fixed for the past 5 years.
Since my plan is to keep the car for a very long time, would it be a good idea to drop the rear subframe, change every bushing + reinforcement plates?
Or do you think I'm fine since there are no weird sound coming from the back.
It's gonna be expensive but worth it since the rubber is 25 y/o

My head gasket has gone and my garage are advising an engine swap as opposed to repairing the current one. Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable places for refurbished engines in UK (Berkshire based)

A portion of a tree came from high above and slammed down on my 2003 M3. 100k miles. The damage was limited to the windshield and some dash breakage. The tarp is there because I went out during the storm and was able to get it under the branch enough to prevent water damage.
Took to a premium body shop.
They totaled it. Not because of real damage, but because the glass was literally everywhere and they felt the dash would need to be removed to take care of all the glass, and they didn't want the liability of saying it was all good, then a pie e of glass Co es out of the vent and cut me, or whatever. Took for second look but since this was a major company (Think NASCAR team) they deduced the same.
So, totaled, bought it back and I found a guy who would fix it for cash. Cost $2k. Two thousand! In fact he sprayed the bumper that was scraped up and replaced the driving light lenses since one was cracked. So now I can't get full coverage, and it's on a salvage title. Resale is in the shutter.
Thanks Nationwide.

I don’t have a video for this since it’s a feel thing more than a sound thing, but it’s coming under the passenger seat/foot area so I’m assuming it’s something with the driveshaft/differential but there’s a shuddering that’s been getting worse over time. I slid the car a little here and there and it’s been progressive since then. I’m assuming it might be the center support bearing but I’m not all too experienced with this area of car, the shuddering only happens during the specifics in the title but once you’re past 30mph you can rip on it still and have no issues. There will still be light shudder which you can feel in the gear selector area (auto) but nothing worth noting since it’s just hard acceleration to me.
If anyone has thoughts they’d like to share I’d appreciate it, don’t have the money for blind purchases currently so I’ll get a little more comprehensive with diagnosis over the weekend.

I looked at an e46 the other day and the gentleman was nice enough to jack it up for me to inspect but I couldn't really tell if I was looking in the right spot. I mainly looked at where the rear shocks mounted up to the body. Is that right?
When opening the expansion tank cap on a cold engine, a very small burp comes out.
I recently had the coolant flushed and refilled, could it be it wasn’t bled properly ?

i’ve just recently began to get into the workings of my engine on my automatic 2005 e46 330i and don’t have much experience but from every possible factor i believe that my temperature sensor under my coolant expansion tank has gone bad. i’ve been using the google ai to run through the possibilities and it’s pinpointed it to that so do what you will with that info. i just replaced my coolant thermostat on the cylinder head and it could just be a faulty one but when doing test 7 it shows my engine temperature only going from about high 20’s to low 50’s celsius. when i get on the highway it will be at about 50 and then drop down to mid 40’s slowly then pick back up when i get off. my vents blow hot air and i properly bled the system when refilling it. i have no coolant leaks anywhere visible. when scanning when a generic obd2 scanner it gives me code p111e. i get about 13.5 mpg average. if theres any more info i can provide that can help anybody help me lmk, im not trying to buy the part and still end up having the problem so if anybody can help please do so, once again im inexperienced so i could just be completely wrong
(this was copy and pasted from a post i made in another bmw forum and somebody told me it is more likely to be the ect on the cylinder head but when looking up signs that its gone bad it says that the readings when checking the temp should be erratic like either super cold in the negatives or super hot but its neither it will fluctuate between 20 celsius when started and in the ballpark of 50 when driving) if anybody could help that would be greatly appreciated
Looking to hire someone who works at a shop or private who can reinforce the RACP panel. Looking to go full CMP Stage 1-3 Subframe and add V Brace support to a sedan.

Always wanted a set of these wheels. Who doesn’t love a good Facebook marketplace come up.
I hit a small kangaroo about a month ago. Went ahead with CSL replica bumper and did the Karbonius CSL intake upgrade too. Did another mode to get rid of the clutch fan and converted to a fully electric fan retaining the OEM shroud using DERALE 18217 fan and an OEM fan controller.
