Review Request How AI tools helped me run my small online store?

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I hope to get some advice and hear about your experiences. I'm running a small independent online store. When I first started, getting customers was much harder than I expected. I didn't really know how to attract traffic, and to be honest, I'm not very good at creating content for social media either. For the first few months, my monthly sales were usually in the single digits. It was pretty discouraging because even when I had products ready to sell, I struggled to get enough people to notice them.

Things started to get a little easier after I learned how to use some AI tools. I used to spend a lot of time editing product photos and cutting videos for social media. Now, some of the more repetitive work can be handled much faster, so I don't have to spend hours trying to make every piece of content look decent.

Another thing I find useful is that I can adjust the prompts based on the results and suggestions I get. If the image or video doesn't look quite right, I can make changes and try again instead of starting completely from scratch every time.

For other people running small online stores, how do you usually get your first customers?
And have AI tools made a noticeable difference in your content creation or sales?

Question Starting dropshipping in November 2026: Is Christmas dropshipping worth it, and what advice would you give a beginner?

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to get into dropshipping this November, and I feel like it could be a great time to start because of Black Friday, Christmas shopping, and the holiday season.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate some advice from people with experience.

Christmas products: Is it worth focusing on Christmas-related products, or is the market already too saturated? I've researched quite a few products, but most seem oversaturated or don't really stand out to me. There's only one that caught my attention, but I'm worried it's already too competitive.

2AI-generated videos: I'm planning to use AI to create organic marketing videos. I've been looking into tools like Higgsfield, but I'm unsure which subscription plan would be best, especially when it comes to credits. I want to make enough videos consistently without running out of credits too quickly.

My plan is to create accounts on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts and post around 3 videos per day.

I was thinking of testing each product for about a week. If I don't get any sales, I'd move on to another product. Does that sound reasonable, or am I giving up too quickly?

My main goal is to learn how to approach dropshipping properly, avoid common beginner mistakes, and give myself the best chance of succeeding.

If you were starting dropshipping from scratch in November 2026, what would you do differently?

Any tips, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Shopify-Store mit Potenzial abzugeben – bereits ca. 2.000 € Umsatz
Moin zusammen,

Question How are organic dropshippers actually making AI videos that perform?

I've been experimenting a lot with AI-generated videos for organic ecommerce, but I'm still struggling to get something that actually performs.

My current workflow has been:

  • ChatGPT + Higgsfield
  • Tried Claude (Opus) + Higgsfield as well
  • Generating images first and using them as storyboard/reference frames for the video
  • Uploading competitor/viral videos as references
  • Trying different hooks in the first 1-3 seconds
  • Testing trending hooks, formats, audios, etc.
  • Creating multiple variations pretty much every day

The biggest problem is that the final videos still don't feel as natural or engaging as the competitor videos I'm studying.

I've seen competitors in similar niches getting very strong reach with videos that also appear to be AI-generated, so clearly there's something I'm missing in the process.

For people actually getting results with AI + organic dropshipping:

What does your workflow look like?

Do you generate the whole video with AI, use AI only for certain scenes, recreate proven formats, start from product footage, mix AI with CapCut/manual editing, or something else?

Also curious what made the biggest difference for you: the model, prompts, storyboard, editing, hook, volume of testing, or simply finding the right creative concept?

Not looking for a "secret tool", more interested in understanding the actual process behind AI creatives that perform.

Discussion Scaling TikTok Shop UK & eBay UK from Dubai via UK LTD - Need Advice on Long-Term Workflow & Suppliers

Hey everyone,

I am currently based in Dubai and am in the process of incorporating a UK LTD to scale up my e-commerce operations properly. In the past, I struggled with short-term Shopify setups, but now I want to build a sustainable, long-term brand presence on TikTok Shop UK and eBay UK.

I have a few strategic questions for those already doing this successfully:

  1. Supplier & Fulfillment Strategy:

Since I am aiming for 2-3 day dispatch to comply with TikTok Shop UK’s strict fulfillment metrics, what suppliers/agents are you using besides CJ Dropshipping? Are there reliable UK-warehouse 3PLs or fulfillment agents you recommend for dropshippers?

  1. Managing UK LTD from Overseas:

For non-resident directors running a UK LTD via Wise/Payoneer Business, are there any specific compliance or tax/VAT traps I should be mindful of during the first 6 months of scaling?

  1. Account Longevity:

What are the best practices for maintaining high shop performance ratings on TikTok Shop UK when operating remotely, especially regarding return addresses and customer service?

Appreciate any insights or experience you can share. Thanks!

Question "I’ve got your back today, you’ve got mine tomorrow"

Hi, I've been in dropshipping for 3 years, focusing on problem-solving. Five months ago, I got into fashion—I knew it was going to be tough, but not this tough hahaha. I don't know if anyone will see my message and want to give me a hand. I'm selling in the European Union and am currently selling, I do product research by looking at reach, and if it’s in the top 1, 2, 3, or 4, I test it. I feel like I’m really good at creating ads and designing great product pages—the products I launch sell, but after a few days, the product dies out, and I’ve had to offer services because I’ve run out of money. The skills I have include making very realistic AI videos, verifying Business Manager, setting up agency accounts, and avoiding Facebook’s advertising taxes, among other things. I’d like to know how you do your product research and if you base it on the season. Your videos are very polished yet simple. I feel like I’m stuck; I’d like to meet people who know about this so we can help each other. Best regards, Dorian (on Deja Drive with products I've tested and how I create my ad campaigns )

Question Dropshipping

17, doing online school, thinking about going all in on dropshipping. Been studying/following this space since I was 14, so I know it's not a get rich quick thing takes real time and effort to actually work.
Few questions: Is $2,000 capital enough to start properly? Do you think a mentor's worth it at this stage or should I just start testing first? And for anyone who's been through it, what are the big mistakes or traps that make people fail early that I should watch out for. Cheers

Question My ads are terrible

Hello i have been trying to Learn dropshipping for about three months now. Learning something about how to make my website on shopify was reletively easily and not many struggles. However i keep getting stuck at making ads for the last 2.5 months. Today i tought i would try it with higgsfield and claude together. That failed terribly it made about 8 videos ads spend almost all my credits on my newly obtained plus account and not a single ad was even close to usable.

Now my question is how do people make good ads i know it is hard for everybody but it feels like i am running into a steel wall. Also i should add i am selling in a non english speaking country so the voices have also been one of my main struggles even with using elevenlabs.

Question Shopify Dropshipping in Africa – What Payment Methods Can I Use Besides PayPal and Cash on Delivery?

Hi everyone!

I’m a beginner looking to start a Shopify dropshipping business in Africa, specifically from Benin.

I’m trying to figure out which payment gateways actually work for African entrepreneurs selling products online, both locally and internationally.

Besides PayPal and Cash on Delivery (COD), what payment methods or payment gateways would you recommend?

I’m particularly interested in:

• Payment gateways available to entrepreneurs based in Africa.

• Solutions that support Shopify integration.

• Options for accepting international payments (USD, EUR, etc.).

• Alternatives such as Paystack, Flutterwave, or other reliable providers.

• Any solutions that work for someone living in Benin, even with a US LLC.

If you’re currently running a Shopify store from Africa, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, including which payment gateway you use and any difficulties you faced during setup or verification.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Question Organic dropshipping: tips you wish you knew earlier

I already know the basics of organic dropshipping, like finding products, building a Shopify store, posting TikToks and Reels, testing hooks, etc.
What I’m really looking for is the stuff you don’t usually hear about in YouTube tutorials. The little tricks, lessons, and mistakes you only learn from actually doing it.
For example:
How do you come up with new video ideas when you’ve already tried a bunch of different angles?
If a video gets good views but no sales, what do you usually change first?
How do you know when a product isn’t worth testing anymore, instead of just giving up too early?
Have you found that posting more videos actually makes a difference, or is it more about the quality and the idea behind them?
What metrics do you pay attention to besides views and likes?
If one video does well, do you try to recreate it with different hooks, or do you move on to a new idea?
What’s something small you changed on your product page or store that surprisingly helped you get more sales?
Do you think filming your own content is a big advantage, or can supplier videos work just as well if you edit them properly?
Are there any underrated ways to get people from your videos to actually visit your store and buy something?
What’s the biggest mistake you made when starting out that you wish someone had warned you about?
I’m also curious about how you approach your first few weeks with a new product. Do you have a specific system for testing content, or do you just keep experimenting until something works?
I’m not expecting anyone to share some magic trick that guarantees sales. I just want to hear about things that have genuinely helped you, especially stuff you learned through trial and error rather than from watching tutorials.
Even if it’s just one small tip that made a difference for you, I’d love to hear it. And if something you tried completely failed, that’s useful to know too.
Thanks!

Marketplace For sellers doing 30–50 orders/day to US: cheaper alternative to YunExpress

Post image
3 Upvotes

When I worked in the dropshipping business, I frequently heard sellers—those processing 30–50 orders a day—complain that shipping rates from YunExpress were too high.

I used to argue that "our shipping channels are more stable," but in truth, the price difference often deterred many sellers. For stores with a steady, mid-range volume of orders, profit margins are everything.

I’ve recently joined a new team, and we’ve established partnerships with Yanwen and RD Shipping, allowing us to secure better shipping rates for packages bound for the U.S. The results have been excellent, and the feedback from our clients has been very positive.

Take a standard 100-gram package, for example; here is the comparison in shipping costs:

- Yanwen / RD Shipping: $5.96

- YunExpress: $6.38

This translates to a saving of at least $0.50 per order, with comparable delivery times. When you’re handling 30–50 orders a day—or even more—these savings really add up; this advantage becomes especially critical during peak seasons.

If you’re struggling with shipping costs to the U.S., or if you have any questions regarding the stability of shipping routes, tracking, or transport restrictions, feel free to leave a comment below—let’s discuss!
