I got an iPad recently and have been using it to map out shapes before drawing and/or painting. It just helps me visualize proportions better. I did not take the photo myself and just do art as a hobby. Is this like… an inauthentic shortcut? (I know the shading on the flowerpot is whack)

Edits for clarity: I understand that using a reference is not cheating lmfao 😂 I’m talking about tracing directly on the photo, which I have now come to understand is not considered cheating! Much appreciated 😅🫶🏻

I drew The Iron Giant having a snack. Ballpoint pen, colored pencil and a touch of sharpie on a 3x5" post-it note. Thanks for looking.

I drew this with Crayola markers and watercolors, and it’s honestly become one of my favorite drawings I’ve done so far. I’ve only drawn a few cityscapes in my life, and I feel like I could definitely improve on them, but I think it still looks pretty good overall

a lion and a swan

Ballpoint pen and sharpie.
It’s a little pig guy.

My first sketch happy to share Ghostface!

And I will draw even more princesses in the future (btw the last drawing is my school project, shes also a princess)

My pastel

Started with a grid pattern, but everything else was drawn by hand.
