Okay I know to some of you this might be a dumb question but should I be sidechaining the snare to the track? It seems like in the past I would just mix the snare loud enough and eq it so it punches through but I saw on YouTube a guy talking about sidechain the snare as well. Do any of you do this and if so what’s your method for doing it?
While remaking their track (foundations) drums i got stuck remaking the kickdrums.
As you see in the picture when they clip it, their oscilations slopes in and out (i highlighted in red so its easier to see) ,while mine recreation just has a flat top. Ive tried many clippers and distortions and couldnt get a similar result
im thinking they used waveshaping of some sort...
Let me know if you have any clue and how its done, Thanks!
I wanted a VST that puts the whole neurofunk bass sound design process into one instrument. All the modulation, resampling, messing with effects, etc. AI helped with the development, but I'm genuinely really happy with the sounds I'm getting out of it, so figured I'd share it for free.
It comes with presets and a few classic neuro/DnB sound archetypes to get you started.
Hit Forge to generate a slightly randomized version of an archetype. If you're digging the sound but want to see where else it can go, hit Mutate. It'll mess with the parameters, bring other effects into play, and generally take things in new directions. You can control how crazy the mutations get, keep hitting it until you find something nasty, and undo if it goes too far.
Or just start from scratch and build your own patch.
There's also Capture, which records a measure of whatever you've made, and Resample, which loads that recording back in as an oscillator. So you can keep processing, resampling, changing up the FX chain, and going down that rabbit hole without leaving the plugin.
Plenty of filters, modulation options, effects, and a bunch of other stuff to play around with.
Anyway, it's completely free. Hopefully someone gets some cool sounds out of it. Would love to hear what people make with it, or any feedback really.
Hey, wondering if anyone could help me. Im trying to find the name of what this is, i have no idea what you'd call it (the lead part) anyone that can help?
Are they okay to use commercially or no? I can't find anything saying what is allowed vs what is not, and I've used one of the samples from the volume 1 collection for a song I'm planning to eventually release using DistroKid
Looking for a producer to make a remix of an indie song into a commercial drum and bass song - budget is £250
If interested, please send a link to your music
I'm getting real tired of Splice samples and curious where everyone is finding hidden gem sample packs nowadays? Shadow samples is great, but I feel like they don't release enough packs as often as I would like.
We just announced this game we’ve been working on for 2+ years. Many artists like Pizza Hotline, Tim Reaper and Blksmiith are on board but we’re curious to hear what artists you think should be featured?
Also if there would be any interest in a remix contest or similar to be featured in the game?
