I’ve been taking my son to Disneyland every year since he’s been born (2023). Every year we book at Carnation Cafe for dinner. This year was such a shock, the quality of the food has gone down A LOT. They took the chicken fried chicken plate off their menu. I ended up going with a burger because I recalled that it was pretty good when my husband got it the year before. The bun was stale and soggy at the same time. The meat was poor quality and the mac and cheese I ordered for my kids was mush. We spent $95.00 for two burgers a coke and two mac and cheese plates. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I spent so much money for food we didn’t even eat. I am not the type to complain or refuse to pay for something but I felt played. I will never go to carnation cafe again.

I keep seeing people say dole whip, the churros or the popcorn but are there any others? Tell me what’s your fav because I want to try new things

I just got back from Disneyland resort, Anaheim, California. I took my toddlers for a family vacation. We were super excited to be at Disneyland during Halloween time. Last year before my second son was born I got my oldest son’s silhouette done at silhouette studio on Main Street. This year I was so excited to get my one year-old silhouette so they each would have one. The silhouette studio line was really long and they have a new process for their line. They allow five people to wait in line and then give anyone else who wants to get in line a buzzer and write your name down once your buzzer goes off then you are allowed to get into the actual physical line. With two toddlers, I just couldn’t wait around, but one of the cast members told me that they have a secondary location that does silhouettes which was at Disneyana near the entrance of the park. The line was much shorter so I waited once we got in everything was fine. The cast member did the silhouette super fast and it was late. They were going on break so I really didn’t take a super good look at it. My toddler was being a bit fussy once I got back to the room and took a look. I was super unhappy with the silhouette. It did not look like my son at all. In fact it looked like a much older child. I wanted to take the silhouette back and have them redo it, but I forgot it in the room when we went back to the park for the second day when passing the silhouette studio original location on Main Street the line was very short and there was no buzzards being handed out just yet so I got in line because I really wanted a better silhouette of my son. The main artist was there from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. I believe her name might be Lolita. She did such an amazing job. There’s a huge difference between both silhouettes. I just ended up paying for it again because I forgot the original silhouette in the room but a cast member did tell me if I would have brought it. They would have redone it for free. I do not recommend going to Disneyana for silhouettes. If you want a silhouette that actually looks like your child I would stick with the original silhouette studio and try to catch the main artist who is there from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. My son has curly hair and in the second silhouette the main artist really was able to capture that and that was super important to me.

Just curious if there was any announcement made along Main Street on Friday Oct 16 (last night) about fireworks not taking place during Halloween Screams? No announcement about fireworks was made for those sitting around after Fantasmic. There was some rumor about the Norte and Peak wildfires being an indicator that Disney wasn’t taking chances with how dry and high winds were - but Fantasmic’s pyro all seemed to be used during that show. Looking in the app a little after showtime did show “No Showtimes” for the “With Fireworks” version of Halloween Screams so just curious when the decision was made.

Also possibly related - was utterly surprised and how light crowds were at DCA after Halloween Screams. Most of the afternoon and evening both parks felt pretty brisk (70-95 mins for most of the e-tickets). But walking leisurely from Disneyland to California Adventure we were able to walk right up to the fence dead-center for the 10:15 World of Color show. The cast members were making announcements that no virtual queue was necessary and anyone was welcome to take a spot along the fence. It remained mostly empty through the entire 10:15 show.

Can’t always trust this but the calendar on the Disney site is showing the last day of the refurb as 10/22 meaning it should be reopening on the 23rd. Great news for anyone heading there towards the tail end of the Halloween season and into the holidays.

Who here believes “refreshing” and “refurbishing” are two separate, and VERY different, things? 😂 What do you all suppose she means by this?

I didn’t know that cast members can have security called on people who cut the line/they can be sent to the back or out of the park. So if someone cuts you, please report them so that they never do it again and it serves as an example to other people who want to attempt it.

Yesterday two parties cut my toddlers and I, probably because I’m a petite girl and look easy to cut.. only one party left the line after I confronted, but the other said “my kid is autistic, so no, im going to stay right here.”

Also adding to clarify: I didn’t know about reporting until I got home and looked it up (I was fuming in line and didn’t think about looking it up at the time), so unfortunately she never got sent to the back of the line.

If it were to ever happen again, I’d let them know I’m going to report to the next cast member we see, so they can either go to the back of the line now or waste time in line only to be sent all the way to the back again. I’d also make sure I communicate with other people in line around me so that they can vouch for me in case the cutter tries to accuse me of lying.

Okay y'all- WDW got "Darth on the Hearth," but they don't sell it at the online store nor can it be shipped from the WDW locations. There is rumor it may end up in DLR. Has anyone seen them? Anyone have any info?

i just got off matterhorn 30/40 mins ago and i wanted to see if anyone had this experience. when i rode it it felt bumpier than before and i felt my head shake/vibrate up and down rough and never experienced this. after the ride operators said that we could ride it again because the ride had an issue. i rode it again and didnt feel bad hat head vibration feeling. wanted to see if anyone had this experience bc i have had health anxiety and my mind went to brain bleed. i have no symptoms though 😭

I kept hearing people rage about these things but they were sold out by the time I got there last time. But today when I got there right after opening they said they don't even make them anymore! I'm so bummed I missed out even though it's just a basic breakfast burrito that's fried lol. They keep removing the best vegetarian options like the Bengal skewers and giving us more salads :/

as the title says, I’m trying to recreate it!! but no one I’ve seen online so far has been able to do those super pretty streaks from the cold foam. Everytime I see a video of someone recreating it, their cold foam doesn’t do the same effect

Day two of our Disneyland trip, only documenting the things that nobody takes pictures of, but it’s the small things that make the parks real. Enjoy.

So we recently took our 6-month-old to Disneyland/DCA! I was initially hesitant because I thought he might be too young, but after seeing SO many newborns and younger babies there, I felt a lot more comfortable.
Overall, we had a great time! He even got to go on a few rides, and I absolutely loved that Disney has dedicated Baby Care Centers.
While we were at the DCA Baby Care Center, I asked my husband to get some filtered water so we could make our son a bottle.
Well, my husband JUST told me that when he asked for filtered water, the cast member assured him that their tap water was filtered and even raved about how they had changed the filter the day before. Had I known this, I honestly would’ve just asked him to buy a bottled water instead.
Fast-forward two days, and my son has been throwing up all morning and hasn’t pooped since that day.
We ended up taking him to the pediatrician, where they did an abdominal X-ray and found that he had quite a bit of stool backed up. Now, timing has me concerned. It’s the only thing I can think of that was different from his normal feeding routine.
Just wanted to share our experience as a heads-up to other parents visiting DCA with little ones. Personally, I’ll be sticking to bottled water for his formula moving forward.
Has anyone else used the filtered water at the DCA Baby Care Center to prepare their baby’s bottles? Did your little ones have any issues afterward?

Update since there were a lot of angries; my dr ruled out a viral situation, viruses usually cause the exact opposite of his symptoms. Took my baby to my Mexican grandma who’s holistic magic worked wonders and baby pooped he’s back to his happy self (:

After FINALLY listening to of our wishes, Tomorrowland is getting a much needed refurbishment. So what do you want to see in this retro update?

I have three big ones:

1. PeopleMover. This goes almost without saying, we need to have this incredibly classic Disney transportation back. Whether they fix the old track or scrap it with a new one, I don’t care. Just make it up and running again.

2. Carousel of Progress. It baffles me that Disney got rid of this ride so quickly back in the 70’s, given it was one of Walt’s last passion projects. I hear Imagineering is already making an updated version, so I say bring it to Disneyland. I hope that it’s a cross between the original CoP and Horizons.

3. Captain EO. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan, and I remember being blown away seeing this at Disneyland. The Magic Eye Theater is empty and in desperate need of a quality 4D movie. I want them to bring it back with modern state of the art 4D effects. And I know there’s a big audience for this, because despite everything, MJ remains as popular as ever. And I still see merch EO worn.

What do you want to see?

I have IBS and had a recent flare up. I’m going to Disneyland in two weeks and am worried about a flare up while there. Where do you normally choose to eat that can accommodate low fodmap diets and be on the healthier side?

Looking on eBay, they seem to go anywhere from $49 a piece to $100. Can anyone tell me what they may be worth?
