Walt Disney World I just have to comment about the ridiculous price difference of adult to children

I was curious about the cost of a one-day ticket to Disney World for April 2027.

I can accept the outrageous cost of $204 per person, but what I find insulting is that children ages 3-10 are $199.  That is a whole $5 savings.

That's all I got. I just had to vent, and where better to vent than on Reddit.

Walt Disney World Trying to find a certain type of experience, not a ride and not a show, but having trouble finding what I’m looking for.

We are planning for a trip in Feb to WDW with our 5.5 and almost 3 yo and I’m making lists of things we’d like to see/do while there. It will be the first time for my husband and kids but I went a few times as a kid (30 and 25 years ago 🥴).

Anyway, one thing I remember loving so much were the immersive areas, not sure exactly how to describe them, not rides and not shows. The 2 examples I remember most were mickeys and Minnie’s houses and the honey I shrunk the kids play areas. I know both of those things closed years ago but I’m looking for similar type activities but I’m having trouble finding a list of anything that is currently there, if anything similar to that is even there anymore. Any way I try to search shows me shows or rides or something similar. Do any of these more low key areas still exist in the parks or have they given way to more rides and shows?

Disneyland Most optimal route to ropedrop Incredicoaster?

• Upvotes

I have rope dropped GOTG every time I have gone to DCA but I would like to rope drop the Incredicoaster this time around. I am going near the end of October and am unable to find the best route to get there. What is the most optimal route to get to the rollercoaster? I have seen people go through Grizzly River to get there but I would have assumed going where people are for the Cars rope drop would be faster. Please let me know !!! I want to go on this ride first thing in the morning !!

Disneyland Is mid January truly a good time to visit Disneyland?

• Upvotes

I apologize for contributing to yet another date post, but I’m planning a 3-day trip for my boyfriend and I in mid-January. We were thinking of Jan 12-14th. My rationale was that most elementary/high schools are back in session by then, and hopefully most families will be recovering from the holiday rush and expenses. Also maybe some rain, so we can go hard-core on rides. Am I totally mistaken? Crowd cals show light days but I’ve heard they’re inaccurate from you guys. Thanks for the help!

Disneyland Have you visited an immersive themed area? Help me with my bachelor’s thesis!

Hello everyone!

As part of my final-year project in Tourism and Leisure Management, I am conducting a survey on visitors’ experiences in immersive areas inspired by films or TV series within theme parks.

If you’ve ever visited an area such as Cars Land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Pandora – The World of Avatar, Avengers Campus, Frozen, or any other similar area, your participation would be a great help to me!

The questionnaire is anonymous and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Please feel free to share it with anyone who has already visited this sort of attraction.

Thank you very much for your help!

Disneyland Paris Looking for a 4th person on 24th October

Hey! Me and two friends are planning a relatively spontaneous trip to Paris, including going to Disneyland Paris on 24th October. Since we’re booking quite last-minute, the prices are unfortunately pretty steep already.

I noticed that group tickets are a bit cheaper, so we’re looking for one more person who might want to join us and save some money as well! 😊

Walt Disney World Mid Nov Capture your moment MK and/or HS

Hi,

I need some advice, we are heading to Disney in mid November. We booked a couple of capture your moment sessions hoping to use the photos in Xmas cards.

I really wanted a morning MK shoot, but once I had the idea only afternoon slots were available. I booked 3pm in a party day bc kids nap schedule.

In your experience, what’s the likelihood that we can try to get a morning session if we roll up earlier in the day? I know a parade goes by at 3pm, is there a chance we can still get good shots by the castle with Xmas decorations around on the side by Tomorrowland/fantasy land?

We did book a 10am at HS, but curious if there is an area that’s more nicely decorated for Xmas for the shoot? Trying to figure out if we shout keep that shoot or just cancel it all together and just stick with the MK one.

Thank you for the advice!

Discussion World of Color Dessert Party Check In

Post image
3 Upvotes

How does the check in process work. Looks like you can check in up to 2 hours before the show. If I check in early, does that mean I will be seated earlier? I don’t want to sit there for 2 hours waiting for the show to start. Should I check in when I’m ready or check in as early as possible to reserve a spot? I don’t know why I’m confused by the wording of this.

Walt Disney World Is 3 days of parks with a 5 year old too much?

New to WDW but have been to Disneyland before. In Disneyland we did both parks, one day each, with a then 4 year old. It seemed to work well. I’m wondering if this group would recommend 3 days of parks, or if I really should plan a rest day. We’d be going mid February. Idea was to do day 1 either HS or Epcot, day 2 animal kingdom to have a quieter day and then day 3 either HS or Epcot (whichever one we didn’t do on day 1). We’d stay in one of the all stars hotels. Thanks for the help planning!

Walt Disney World I need some device to plan. Disney trip.

My husband and I want to take a trip to Disney world this would be our first time. I don’t want to breaks the bank. I’m not sure if we should stay on a resort or what I was thinking 3 days 1 park per day. We have never been and always have wanted to go. I really want to do the Hollywood one because I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I was thinking Epcot and maybe magic kingdom or is that too much and should we just do 2 parks. We would be flying to Florida. I was told if my husband was a veteran that would help but idk he is a disabled veteran only with 90% tho. Any tips or anything should I buy ears at the park or make my Own

Disneyland What would you say are the best restaurants for dinner with little kids at Disneyland?

I like sitting down for dinner and curious of everyone's thoughts on some restaurants to check out as I'm new to Disneyland. I'm not talking character dining.

Walt Disney World Need Help Choosing Itinerary

Hello everyone! I'm trying to narrow down my trip itinerary by the type of ticket I get and I'm having trouble deciding. From the info I've given below and just between these two options, which would you pick and why? Thanks!

Who: Me, solo adult When: January 31 - Feb 3rd 2027 Where: AKV (Kidani) 1/31-2/1 and ASMo 2/1-3

Goals:

- Festival of the Arts

- Riding Guardians

- Storybook Dining

- Seeing the castle/fireworks show

- MK rides: Mine Train, Pooh, Buzz Spin, Tron, Space Mnt, BTMRR, People Mover

- Not use Lightning Lane

ITINERARY #1

Sun 1/31

- Arrive at MCO

- Check in at AKV

- Spend time enjoying the resort (pool, animals, etc)

- Boma Dinner

Mon 2/1

- Epcot (possible extra evening magic)*

- Check in ASMo earlier, Arrive after park close

Tue 2/2

- MK (EMH)

- Crystal Palace Breakfast

- Storybook Dinner

Wed 2/3

- Whispering Canyon Cafe Breakfast

- Airport

ITINERARY #2

Sun 1/31

- Arrive at MCO

- Check in at AKV

- Spend time enjoying the resort (pool, animals, etc)

- Quick Service Dinner at resort

Mon 2/1

- Boma Breakfast

- Disney Springs

- Check in ASMo

- Storybook Dinner

- After Hours MK Event

Tue 2/2

- Epcot (EMH)*

Wed 2/3

- 100 Park Fare Breakfast

- Airport

*= Since i am solo, only have 1 day, and the festival booths are a big priority, I only eat at the booths for all meals on Epcot day

The difference in price for 2-day base ticket (itinerary 1) and 1-day base ticket+MK After Hours ticket (itinerary 2) is only $20, so negligible.

The variance between total cost of tickets + meals is also negligible between itineraries.

Also, I have never done an After Hours Event but I know I can enter early when the park is normally operating (much like MNSSHP and MVMCP allow early entry)

Disneyland Premier Pass at Disneyland?

Planning for an eventful but hopefully realistic wishlist of a time at Disneyland in early December. Wondering if our ride wishlist is doable with a LLMP or if Premier Pass would be worth it for two people that don’t love queueing. We are staying at the Westin the first night and then the Grand Californian. Willing to buy single passes for RoTR and RSR. 4-day park hoppers with LLMP across. All tours and reservations booked, but the walk in Walt’s Footsteps tour seems easy to reschedule still. Any suggestions on how our schedule can improve or areas we should lower our expectations?

Here’s our schedule.

Sunday

  1. Napa Rose Chef’s Counter at 5:45pm
  2. Catch the 9:30pm fireworks on our hotel balcony (booked a theme park view room as I realized too late that Fantasmic would be only this night and missed out on the premium dining package)

Monday

  1. Check into the Grand Californian
  2. Disneyland around 4pm. Hoping to ride POTC, and use the LLMP for Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, or Big Thunder Mountain. Can use the GCH pass for a ride if it’s super busy.
  3. New Orleans Square and Main Street shopping in between rides or if no rides are available.

Tuesday

  1. Disneyland around 10am. Book first LLMP ride (any rides we missed yesterday, Space Mountain, Star Tours, or Mickey and Minnie’s Railroad Runaway) and single passes for RoTR.
  2. Disneyana portraits
  3. Jolly Holiday Lunch
  4. Check into Walk In Walt’s Footsteps tour at 11:45AM (recent reviews list the monorail, small world, and jungle cruise as the rides)
  5. Book our second LLMP ride at 12PM and third at 2PM; use the pass from the tour to book our fourth ride
  6. Hopefully stacked our rides for the afternoon
  7. Din Tai Fung for dinner, World of Disney shopping, and chill the rest of the night back at GCH.

Wednesday

  1. Pop down to DCA early to book first LLMP ride (IncrediCoaster, Soarin, Monsters, and single passes for RSR)
  2. Head back to the Grand for breakfast.
  3. Back to DCA before 10am and book second LLMP ride
  4. Ride first LLMP ride, RSR, and short wait time ride
  5. DCA lunch and book third LLMP ride (or see if any other rides have short wait times)
  6. Shopping and final ride or two
  7. Back to the Grand for pool or spa time
  8. Light dinner at Hearthstone Lounge
  9. Back to DCA for World of Color Dessert party

Thursday

  1. Lunch at Blue Bayou and any final shopping (may cancel and just stay in downtown Disney if we’re parked out or use the LLMP for a final ride or two)

Disneyland Royal hall - when is the line the shortest?

Only one day at Disneyland park in California for our upcoming trip. We usually do princess brunch to see the princesses but not doing it this year so I want to be sure I visit them at Royal hall. But the question is - if I’m rope dropping the park, should I still do Peter pans flight and fantasyland rides first thing and then head over to Royal hall at 9:30? Or should I go earlier ? Thank you!!!!

Walt Disney World What's the Best Way to Book Candlelight Processional Dining Package?

Hey everyone. What is the best way to book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package? I've seen conflicting information. Some say book the restaurant first and then you can add it. Some say go through the Candlelight Dining Package page. I tried booking just now for practice, and it looks like there's nothing available so I can't test it out. Would love some help. My booking window opens this Saturday.
