• No Direct Votes: Hinojosa never directly voted to impose a property tax increase, and the Texas state legislature itself does not levy property taxes (property taxes in Texas are set by local governments and school districts).

• Nature of the Votes: The 40 cited votes were procedural or opposing votes against GOP-backed legislation designed to cap local government revenue growth, limit debt-related tax rates, and restrict disaster exemptions.

• Hinojosa’s Position: Hinojosa and her supporters maintain that she voted to preserve local control for cities, counties, and school districts rather than voting to raise taxes. Her campaign also sent cease-and-desist letters to Texas television stations attempting to pull the Abbott attack ad.

Documents obtained by the Current show the Texas attorney general let payday lenders boost rates with unregulated products around the same time the industry pumped $34,000 into his campaign coffers.

My wife will be there for the fourth year in a row and I just want to say thank you to everyone who comes out there just to look around. Just being there to observe the art creates such a loving accepting vibe for not just my wife but every artist. She never thought she was good enough to sell her stuff for money and to get love bombed for 12 hours straight really fuels the fire she has inside. She lights up every room she walks into and has brought me out of darkness more times than I know so to see her take a chance on herself and her form of expression be so accepted by this lovely city makes me so proud to be her husband as well as a Fort Worth resident.

Kayleigh Gets Creative is the name of her booth and we’ll be located right by Maggie’s R&R. I can’t wait to see y’all and if you feel so inclined to mention this post to her I would love the husband points. With the perfectly beautiful life she’s given me this is very least I can do. LOVE Y’ALL!

Tuesday belonged to Mikko Rantanen. Thursday, Roope Hintz scored with two minutes left in regulation and again in overtime to beat Winnipeg 3–2.

Rantanen supplied two assists, Johnston scored his first of the season, and Dallas killed all four Winnipeg power plays. A busy night behind a familiar final score.

Hi! I just moved to the South Fort Worth area, and am looking into connecting with a swim coach. I am very very new to lap swimming, and have looked into places like Sigma Swim but can't justify $150/month - I am on a tight budget. Any ideas or anyone who might be interested?

I recently got called with an offer at UTSW’s 7 blue multi specialty icu for their nurse residency program and wanted to know more about the hospital and the unit culture, management, and floor if anyone knows anything. I’m new to the area so any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated:)

Where are the best open pickleball courts ? I am in cedar hill so closer to me would be best. I am from Utah where courts are packed all throughout the day. I’d love to find a good spot for consistent play.

Question for any people going to the Sick New World concert Saturday Oct 24 - I want to fully enjoy the experience, immersion, etc. Please DM if you are going!!
