What do you all think of this video? I thought it was informative though the framing felt a little contrived. Anything they missed or got wrong?

El-Sayed has more testosterone and intelligence than the entire Trump bootlicking butt kissing GOP minions combined.

By far more.

Nothing says born leader more than this.

I strongly encourage everybody to memorize this phone number or add it to your contacts now: 866-OUR-VOTE. Call it immediately if you see any barriers to voting at polling places, ESPECIALLY IF YOU SEE ARMED FEDERAL AGENTS as It’s illegal for them to be there. All calls are forwarded to the ACLU.

And before the elections visit DemocraticStateParties.com. There you will find how to become a trained onsite peaceful protector of a polling place, and more.

Please do so now.

Why do we tolerate such a poor performing and expensive system?

In this modern era we need to capitalise on the latest technology to be able to run our country as efficiently as possible.
I envision a simple voting app that citizens of New Zealand can access and are encouraged to access by possible small tax rebates or benefit increases,(5%).
The voting system could be used as much or as little as needed, voting on representatives, different issues facing New Zealand, law changes etc

The current system has floors in nearly every aspect. Currently our money/time is being wasted by a greedy government. Infact they play manipulated mental games with us when it comes to taxes.
We work hard pay taxes all year. At the end of the year they give out a small tax refund. Everyone gets a few hundred dollars and thinks that the government is being generous in reality this is the exact the same way a Casino operates. They take your money. They give you a little bit back and then you come back. It is just extra admin at our expense in reality. Why is it that we tolerate these games?

The plan would certainly not be to cut public services. In fact with money saved and earned public resources should increase.

\*\*State funded/owned- supermarket, gas & oil,banking, Investment/ownership in New Zealand business.\*\*

The government expects us to run our businesses at a profit and pay our taxes. Meanwhile they run at losses and let the biggest businesses take their profits offshore for example banks supermarkets, gas & oil.
Meanwhile, our people are struggling to afford food utilities and daily living.

Why can’t we bring in state owned businesses that run a small profit and provide the people a better service? A lot of these industries have a monopoly? They manipulate their consumers and for years the government has let this happen.

Every year I have been eligible to vote I have. But this time I have lost all faith in the current political system so why should I vote.

To be honest, I feel that the common sense has completely left politics and the people pay for it. Until we change the system, it doesn’t matter who gets voted in?

How could we implement real change?

I'm 72, I always start out the day with a very special song.

A song by The Who, Won't Get Fooled Again.

Which always brings a tear to my eye.

The folly and foolishness, and the knowing we're all puppets on a string, owned by the 1%.

Covers:

  • Why, despite the many problems of our civilization, saying it’s “malfunctioning” isn’t accurate
  • Why typical metrics of progress like GDP don’t provide a full picture of how people are actually doing
  • How we can design a better society for everyone taking inspiration from how ecosystems work
  • Ideas to improve our democratic systems, with real world examples
  • How we could distribute wealth more widely, from ownership of companies to the benefits of AI
