Is google data analyst course of cursera still worth ? im planning a career shift from business project management industries to tech industries

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to transition from a business/project management-related career into the tech industry, and I'm considering taking the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate on Coursera as my starting point.

My current background is in business operations and project management, but I'd like to develop more technical skills and eventually move into a tech-related role. I'm particularly interested in learning data analytics and exploring opportunities where I can combine my existing business knowledge with technical skills.

However, with how quickly the tech industry is evolving, the rise of AI tools, and the number of people pursuing entry-level tech jobs, I'm wondering whether this certificate is still worth the time in 2026.

I'm a Data Analyst planning to build my first Databricks project for my portfolio. I have experience with SQL, Excel and Power BI, but I'm new to Databricks. Could you suggest some good project ideas that would help me demonstrate Databricks skills from a Data Analyst perspective?
