Im new to cyberpunk 2020 and one of my players wants extra arms, is there anything in the sourcebooks regarding more than 2 armed characters?

Hi guys! I’ve game mastered about 15 sessions of Cyberpunk 2020 for my main group, but I got another playgroup that wants to get their feet wet. Do any of you have any scenarios that are serve well as pretty good introductions to the game/setting? I don’t mind a decent amount of improv being required. I just need some suggestions of something I can get whipped up before this weekend for a short game preferably :)) thanks!

Using google maps Ive created a broadstroke map of a version of night city that stretches from morro bay to atascadero. Im planning to have 10 megabuildings with three more under-construction. Im trying to find out where to place them. Does anyone know of any sources that talk about real life city expansion and how cities determine to place housing projects.

I would imagine the first three megabuildings werent built for the poor but to increase housing as the population swelled before the city expanded. And I would also imagine while some (most?) Of the megabuildings are low income housing projects some are for the elite. Either way Im having a hard time placing them and was looking for suggestions.

A little update since my last map preview) This time, I wanted to show nine buildings from Little Italy up close, without the digital map effects.

I’ve included the original black-and-white and color map references, some detail shots, and a 1.8 m figure for scale. These are my interpretations of the buildings, with a few changes and additions where the original artwork left room for imagination.

They’re being made for the interactive Night City map in my Cyberpunk 2020 companion app. There’s still plenty to do, but the neighborhood is taking shape!

So, Im using red rules but my own homebrew setting, asking here because Ive found the red subreddit less enthusiastic about hombrewing in general to a degree.

Im using my own version of night city, using the real world morro bay and surrounding areas as far out as atascadero.

I have two (maybe three) areas that arent technically in night city proper, atascadero but built out to 18.5 sq miles, and area south built out to 17 squre miles, and I might have a third built out to 11.6 square miles. These three areas while considered night city arent technically in night city (kinda like how the greater LA area or Greater Atlanta area have towns/cities etc that call themselves "la" or "Atlanta" when people ask "where are you from" but they arent really that city.

Now, lore wise night city and the surrounding area is considered a "special economic zone" and surrounded by badlands (well sort of). So I didn't want to use a separate sheriffs office to police that area. I thought about using private police just for those 2/3 areas but for possible campaign hooks I sorta don't want to.

My two thoughts are :.

1) having NCPD police those areas on a contract with Night City or.

2) have some kind of Marshall service do it.

Option 1 might work since I can handwave the while special economic zone allowing NCPD to have authority in the entire special economic zone boundaries regardless if its in the actual city/municipal boundaries.

Option 2 might be fun to world build off of (maybe their is a Marshall service that has jurisdiction in all special economic zones [my lore has 3 in the U.S. and at least one internationally]) however Im not sure how I feel about it.

I’m making a free-to-use app for Cyberpunk 2020 players and GMs.

I wanted a handy app to track stats and items for everyone at the table and help new players learn the basics of Cyberpunk 2020 without having to read through all the books before getting started.

There is a short teaser featuring the app’s logo. The app is still a work in progress, and I’m looking for testers and people interested in the project.

Just curious what you all would do with such a concept. Personally I think a character centered around stealth and sabotage invites a lot of neat opportunities.

I did build out a similarly themed character in Red, but I’m wondering how it could be handled in 2020.

"The alleged espionage by Hanning and Manfred D was uncovered during an investigation into a separate kidnapping case involving German businesswoman and steakhouse chain heiress, Christina Block.

In that case, Hamburg prosecutors accused Block of arranging the kidnapping of her two youngest children in 2023 due to a custody dispute. Prosecutors said Hanning put Block in touch with a private Israeli espionage firm to carry out the abductions. The former spy chief and a police officer were accused of accepting more than 100,000 euros ($112,000) from Block in exchange for returning her children from Denmark, where they were living with her ex-husband. The trial is ongoing."

I have 22 of these cardboard Crates, with each having 6 of these white booster boxes. Which each have 40 booster packs.

I have been holding on to these for years, or my wife has... and we are looking to sell them. If anyone is interested, let me know. Or, if you know the best way to sell these, some advice would be wonderful.

a few months ago me and my group wrapped up a year long campaign where we had to recover a ICE breaking chip Militech was sending to a mob group known as the DeSanta crime family. I was playing a Militech rep named Karen Marsh. Karen was my very first character, and she was built atrociously (she had no skinweave for example and spent most of the game with only 6 SP across her body minus the head). she was initially going to end up being her namesake; a Karen, but she quickly morphed into something approximating a moral compass for the group and fell hard for a Medtech PC; Donatello DeSanta.

Shenanigans happened across the game, we went around the combat zone, the Medtech's landlord tried to sell Karen bootleg energy drinks, her diary chip got read aloud by the Solo while Karen was in the shower, she got haunted by a dead teammate (who might've been a Bane Spirit from WtA), and by the end we had tracked down the chip, Maelstrom was about hand it over to an Arasaka Karen managed to talk-no-jutsu the Maelstrom gang leader into double crossing the Arasaka rep, he and his goons kill the Arasaka people.

Just as we're about to discuss terms, a fucking Militech Eclipse FBC drops out of the Arasaka VTOL and decapitates him. motherfucker then rushes across the rooftop, slices off Karen's arm and nearly kills her, this was the very first time someone actually hit her all game, Donatello swoops in, scoops her up and brings her to safety, nearly getting his head cut off by the borg, and after 2 micro missiles and a full mag of dual purpose ammo to the chest via our Solo the FBC goes down. Donatello stabilizes Karen, and all is well (minus the trauma of nearly dying, and the deaths of 2 other party members).

Not long after this Donatello's father; Goobins DeSanta, tries to ply the group into double crossing Militech so he can keep the chip for himself, the Solo sees no one else is into the idea and just fucking murders Goobins and like half of his buddies, Donnie and Karen run off from Night City in a stolen limo, and in the "post credits" sequence of the game they got married, Karen left Militech and they started a business in her home state of Washington selling lumber to rich people as a luxury item, the Solo bought strong shares in their company and they were too scared to tell her no, they had 8 kids, adopted 2, and live a pretty comfortable life.

So, Im prepping a night city map for an upcoming game. I making some changes to its size to reflect a specific population density Im looking for and for lore reasons (Im using hombrew lore). Interstate 1 (using real world maps) will run from corpo area of night city up to northern California, but due to lore reasons will be restricted to only specific travel visas (commerical, corpo, and the rich). Everyone else will have to take a different route.

My question is how to make this work without having a border style checkpoint. The wealthy want the convenience of jumping on the road north without delay, while "keeping the poors out." In the campaign this is designed as an obstacle the players need to overcome (so faking visas, buying fake ones, etc).

Looking at it from a real world perspective, how would the city ensure quick entry to the hwy for the wealthy while keeping those without visas out without having a long line of cars. Looking for interesting and realistic ways of doing this so it makes sense "in world" while giving players an obstacle to overcome.

I was looking at buying my character a Techtronica M40 Pulse Rifle but I realized I don't know how much I have to spend for extra batteries, or liquid metal storage cells? Or does it not even reload and instead has to be plugged in overnight after 6 shots?

Looking for suggestions on systems/mechanics for a cyberpunk themed RP MU*.

Prepping for a game and I want a decent size that make the "5-7 million" possible. Yes I know you can throw up megabuildings etc. Im looking at google maps because I can use it to put dividers around districts to get an accrute idea of how far things are from each other (that way everything is consistent) so Im polling here to determine what might be too small vs too big.

My orginal plan was to just use the 77 map but that seem too small.

If it matters the game is set in the 2080s but does not follow the games built in timeline.

Has anyone ever ran a session where the players are against another set of players or even against a solo like Blackhand? Asking more out of curiosity than anything else.

Hello! I'm a new player from DnD and I wanted to play Medtech, because I like being a support character. I'm quite lost how healing works in CP2020, is it like Clerics? I've heard a bit about stabilization, I think it was that when a PC goes unconscious, I can roll to stabilize them? I don't want to bother my dm about it, especially since hes very busy with other campaigns and such... What kind of gear/implants would you recomend?
