Covid has been hard on all of us. Some more than others. It has been a year of staying inside and behind a camera. No socializing on campus, no hanging out and getting boba. The effects of covid-19 has been studied worldwide, and I am not just talking about getting the virus itself but the consequences of the isolated living we have had for so long now.
We at the CSUN Discord are trying to help students to cope with the new reality we are living in while the world adjusts to dealing with the multiple strains of Covid being fought against.
Come hang out and make some new friends. Here you can chat, socialize, get help with homework, hear the latest about CSUN and much more. We also have partnered with several clubs for advertising so you can see all there events being hosted all in one place.
Hope to see you soon: https://discord.gg/t4Mw8m3
When you join the server make sure to type your Major, Current Year(Freshman, Junior, ect) and whether you live on campus or not. The mod team will then let you see the rest of the channels.

Hi everyone, I've started a band and we're looking for a lead guitarist. I've been playing for about 5 years but I'm more into playing rythym, so preferably if anyone wants to join who has 4 years plus in playing and can shred or write some solos, please dm or comment here. Thanks!

Am I missing something? The "new" DPR audit was supposed to be live 15 Oct but it looks exactly the same...
Navigating the new DPR Audit will be much like the current DPR experience, but you can expect to see:
The new web-based Degree Progress Report, including DPR Audit and DPR Planner, will make it easier to understand your academic progress.

Hey everyone,
I purchased two big show alumni tickets for Swae Lee tomorrow 10/17. I’m selling them cheaper than what I initially paid for it since there’s a no refund policy. PM me if interested.

Who takes care of this garden? I noticed a bunch of plants have fallen over due to the strong winds. I was wondering if I could help contribute to the upkeep!

Help! My account shows that I still have funds that have not been disbursed (this has been pending since August) and I'm trying to figure out when this will be released. I have no holds and I've accepted everything for months now. It also now shows that I owe tuition and Digital Access fees??

Been trying to eat particularly less sodium, but damn is it hard with the dining hall only serving salt filled crap and literally zero healthy options that have any substance.

I just got my registration date and am completely crushed. I’m pre-med, majoring in health administration with a minor in public health. I’m also a transfer, so as a junior I expected an earlier registration date. Since open registration in on December 12th. I already had my whole schedule of classes planned out, and was just wondering if other juniors got similar dates. I’m really upset because I know some of the classes I wanted to take as a pre-med will most likely be filled by the time it’s my turn. What was your registration date :(

hey so hi. a little bit of a tmi but not bad. I have really bad gastritis and other digestive issues that make it hard for me to eat a LOT of foods (I am also vegetarian) (literally anything with seasoning basically, nothing overly acidic or sugary, no onions or garlic or pepper or anything strong etc etc) and this meal plan is a goddamn mess and I am waisting money on it and I can’t do anything about it. Why do I NEED it to be in housing? When I go to GMOS or literally any other restaurant on campus it’s useless unless it’s subway basically and I feel like I’ve been living off of cereal and waffles for the past month. I was just made aware that for some reason the allergen bar closes at 9 at gmos??? literally why??? If I had a late class and if I possibly had a gluten allergy what am I supposed to do then?
Anyways. I am pretty sure I’m battling food poisoning right now from the halal shack. I got the exact same food about a week ago and I realized the beans were seasoned but it wasn’t horrific last time I only had a little pain. This time I eat the exact same thing and my entire digestive system feels like it wants me to die it is HORRIBLE. Are they doing any food regulations? Did some lettuce have germs on it that are killing my insides? Im just so mad im waisting money and I have to eat most of my protein and meals at home everyday. It makes no sense there is no unseasoned tofu or the fruit just being out most of the time!!! Csun please adjust your food and meals for people who are sensitive to certain things!!! Don’t just tell me when I ask what’s in a food “idk” because THAT DOESNT HELP AT ALL. Jesus christ im so tired. Thank god I already have antacids n stuff because of my pre existing stomach problems but it doesn’t get rid of the food poisoning 🫠
tips very appreciated.

Honestly just curious cause I've seen it go both ways, do you guys park near where your first class is to get there quickly or near where your last class is to not walk much?

The keychain on the top of this photo went missing today. Please let me know if you have it or know where it is. Stealing this also means you hate the Dodgers and you’ve cursed them and that’s really mean :(

Hi All,
My family's law firm is looking to hire a Legal Assistant interested in stable, meaningful work and gaining practical experience in the legal field.
We are a workers' compensation law firm dedicated to representing injured workers. The primary responsibility of this position will be drafting correspondence to Agreed Medical Evaluators (AMEs) and Qualified Medical Evaluators (PQMEs), outlining the medical and legal issues that need to be addressed on behalf of our clients.
Position Details:
Ideally, we're looking for someone with an interest in pursuing a career in law, whether as an attorney, paralegal, or other legal professional. However, we're equally open to someone who is intelligent, detail-oriented, a strong writer, and a quick learner.
We understand that this position may be a stepping stone rather than a long-term career. For the right candidate, we're happy to provide mentorship, valuable legal experience, and potentially a letter of recommendation from an established law firm.
To Apply:
Please email your resume to [mail@sparagnalaw.com](mailto:mail@sparagnalaw.com).
Before applying, we encourage you to do a little research on our firm and familiarize yourself with California workers' compensation law, particularly AME/PQME correspondence, Declarations of Readiness, and Medical Provider Networks.
We're not expecting you to know everything coming in, but we do appreciate initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could give advice or suggestions to help with some circumstances I’m going through.
Recently my life has been so chaotic with family issues, my only living grandparent passed away July 2026, and my little sister has no caretaker so I have to stay home instead of being able to commute an hr over to CSUN. I’m struggling with a class that’s in the mornings, and I’m barely able to get through the exams.
I know we have late withdrawal forms on campus, but is this a type of situation that could be approved? I’m really embarrassed about possibly failing if my home life continues to grow more restless. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

Come to the Grand Salon on Wednesday at 11:30am to hear from https://www.astronautsforamerica.org/ speakers including Garrett Reisman who spent over 100 days in space. The AfA college tour is focused on defending the Constitution of the United States and the system that first put a person on the moon. Come for the inspiration for civic action - stay for the Portos!

Lack of communication, half assing the assignments, using AI, and procrastinating. I tried asking the professor if I can work along and her response was to make a group chat and say:
GM G3
I received a disturbing notice from one of your group members that people are not following through carrying one's responsibilities, lack of communication, etc., etc.
I need you to get in touch with each other immediately And
CC me. we're going to talk about it in class today

Most of the questions were very straightforward, but there were some that felt quite odd to me. Like the one shown in the picture above. The question asks “how many classes have some form of AI usage?” And I responded 0. It then tells me 0 is not a valid number. So I answered 1 instead (a lie) and it let me through. The survey seemed very biased towards AI use, but this question felt dirty to me. By forcing me to not choose 0, I have artificially inflated the number of classes with AI usage. Their data is bad, at least from that question. There were some other funny questions that even AI glazers wouldn’t answer honestly. Questions about how much you use AI in school and in what ways ect. If the wording wasn’t so pro-AI I’d assume this was a sting operation to catch students cheating.

Hey yall! as always, internet was incredibly unhelpful... so taking to reddit I go!
I'm generally just looking for a spooky, potentially community-based experience that won't break the bank.. Where I'm from the boy scouts and their dads do a haunted house in an old abandoned building every year for like $5-10 (it's probably gone up since the last time I went..). It's pretty rinky but it's like a whole local night market thing. Was just interested if there's absolutely anything of the sort near here!
Anything is helpful! I already work at one of the spooky attractions nearby so that knocks an option off for me Thank you!
