I was wondering if the program is purely for counseling or if its only through schools?

hi y‘all! CSULA is one of my choices and I wanted to ask what makes people like the school and others dislike? I don’t know too much about Los Angeles but I do see that the neighborhoods east of the university are rlly good! nice Asian population too :)

So pretty much, I someway somehow made a mistake and accidentally reported that I had 54 credits instead of having 90 which I actually do have. So as a result, San Jose State was unable to offer me admissions, but in reality I have 90 and a bit of my official transcripts I just emailed them and asked for an appealbut it’s taking so long lol

Hello everyone!
I’m a Clinical Psychology doctoral candidate conducting dissertation research exploring the experiences of Latinx young adults who lost a parent or parental figure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I’m currently recruiting participants who:
* Identify as Latinx
* Were between 18–30 years old at the time of their loss
* Lost a parent or parental figure during the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020-2023
* Reside in the United States
Participation involves a confidential, individual Zoom interview lasting approximately 45–90 minutes. The study has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.

Does anyone know that if you attend any events at csula that have food, do they have you enter your student id number or info on the little screen or else you will not be allowed to get food? Like you have to be a current student taking classes to enter?

Hey Everyone,
I am transferring to Calstate LA for Bachelors of Art in Social work, Spring 2027.
-How are the professors overall? Any you really recommend?
-Are most classes offered during the day, or are evening/online sections common?
-Which classes tend to fill up the fastest?
-Is there anything you wish you knew before starting the program?
-How helpful is the program if you plan to apply to an MSW program after?
-Any advice?
Thank you

I’m thinking of attending CSULA for masters in computer science next fall. It’s one of my top choices since I really want to go somewhere in California. I’m coming from Texas, but I used to live in the Bay Area. Anyway, from what I’ve heard CSULA is a commuter school but I’ve seen posts about people who say finding friends isn’t too hard if you put an effort. What is a good way to make friends here? Also, is it reasonable to try and find friends in the city, CSULA is in Los Angeles after all. So there’s probably other 23/24 year olds from other colleges or people that work full time who want to make friends. I’m just worried about finding my group here because of some of the stories I’ve heard on this sub and other online platforms.

I only had two loans given to me this semester and I submitted my financial aid for 2027-2027 three days ago. I looked at my summary and it shows $400 for financial aid. I clicked something else and it says it’s for a scholarship? I don’t have an email or message telling me I was chosen for a scholarship 🤔 when will I see this money deposited to my account?

I was one of the few whose MCS disappeared the same week school started (and still gone) so I had called. Whether you have it or don’t have it on your package doesn’t matter. They are currently being reviewed the last week of October, and may officially be rolling out in people’s bank accounts the first week of November!
If you still don’t see an estimate on the final week of October you may call and they can tell you why you didn’t qualify!

Has anyone taken a winter class, did financial aid cover the classes? If not how much did you pay out of pocket

I find it very odd that most bathroom doors are always propped open. Anytime I see them propped open I always close it. Just a matter of privacy at this point….
