My weekly 2 boxes were delayed for the past 3 weeks. I was literally shaking when I opened the boxes and saw the privy enders. Each tube is 25. That makes this picture .135% of the total mintage.

Started off the day just thinking I'm gonna pickup a casual box of halves hoping for 2026's to maybe get a West Point. I'm gonna open it and find no 2026's and sort through and maybe end up with a few proofs and NIFC's..... well, I guess I was only partially right.

I was blessed to have a nice Costco 1oz piece reserved for me. That really started things off on the bright side. Then after work I picked up that box of halves figuring maybe, just maybe this will be a better hunt than usual. I think it's starting off with a bang. I open the box and am met with 4 enders that immediately catch my eye.

Quarters Found My First Privy

Ran into a buddy at the bank today, that was dumping unopened bank rolls of quarters which conrained a Liberty Bell quarter at one end and a random quarter at the other. He only wanted solid rolls of the LB quarter, so I bought them - 17 rolls. Wouldn't you know it, on my first roll, I strike a Privy!

Feeling blessed!

  1. Found my first Lyndon and he's holographic!

  2. 2nd 2026 quarter found in Panda Express change, 5k in quarter rolls and none to be found. Stop at Panda while running my bank circuit? 3 revolutionary wars 🤦

3-5. Bunch of old cool nickels, 4 non silver 1942. If I wore a defibrillator it would have been working overtime

  1. My first In God We Rust? More clear under the microscope

7-8. 3rd W quarter!

9-10. Didn't find these in rolls had a customer spend these. Luckily Ive got all my cashiers trained to spot silvers, she says "this one's 1944 and has a lady on it" 😂 those girls have found me 35 silver dimes this year

  1. Plated quarter can't find my reverse picture but it's Illinois. Fun to find as an ender!

  2. Cool old Canadian penny. I've got pounds of Canadian coins but this was a first

  3. proof ender!

  4. Various American innovation finds

  5. Full rolls of JFK both mints at one of my business banks

  6. Eisenhower dollar coin

  7. First silver find with the metal detector! Got the ok from the parks director to pretty much any park in town, took the kids and they played on the playground for 3 hours while I played in my playground for 3 hours

Dump Bank Revelation

I got talking with the head teller and manager at one of the KeyBank branches I use to dump my halves—about $4–5K a month—and asked what happens to them after I deposit them.
For context, I reroll all my coins. It’s just something I enjoy doing.
They told me they have to unroll every roll before Loomis will take them. But the bank won’t accept them from me unless they’re rolled.
So I roll them, they unroll them, and Loomis hauls them away. 😂
I’ve been with KeyBank for nearly 30 years, and I’m pretty sure that relationship is the only reason they still put up with my halves.
Btw, I get my boxes from my credit union and not Key.

I’m kind of excited to get a whole box of these, but not sure if I should sort through them all or sell some of them to other CRH’ers. Thoughts?

So I got two boxes of quarters from the bank. They are mixed. About ten centennials showing at ends but no privy marks. My question is , is it worth going through every coin , then rerolling and returning unwanted ones.
(ps I am good with silvers but other rare quarters am not good.)

Pictures 1-4 are a new one for me. I’ve never seen a goose egg on Washington’s eye before. The doubling on DR MW’s hair right side I’ve seen before.

Pictures 5-12 shows a nice 2024-P P.M. DDO/DDR.

Pictures 13-19 shows two different 1999-P spitting horse quarters. Pictures 17-19 are a spitting horse that I haven’t seen before. I noticed the stronger curved spit stream which I haven’t seen. There is a weaker straight spit stream that doesn’t extend beyond a few millimeters above the first A in CEASAR.

Riddle me this coin guys

Why did I go through 75 rolls of half $ acquired 5 to 10 rolls at a time only to find a few album fillers and a ton of NIFC coins mostly the same 4 years. Then due to the bank making it difficult to acquire rolls I finally got one to order me a box.

Well the first 15 rolls of this box has the same NIFC's and other coins I have been seeing for months but also produced 2 1964 and a 1965 silver coins as well as a 1999-s proof.

I was beginning to think that silver in 1/2 $ rolls was a lie.

Half Dollars NIFC Halves - Worth Holding Onto?

I've been coin roll hunting since the 1990s and have had a lot of success with pennies, nickels and especially half dollars. Of course the halves have been the most profitable. Never heard of the term NIFC till I started getting these feeds, just knew that halves from 2008-2019 were particularly low mintages and I got a decent bunch of them over the years. Was wondering if they are really worth holding onto them or continuing to pull them from rolls and save more. Thoughts?

Half Dollars First half dollar find!

Post image

Alright guys been lurking this page for a while now and finally decided to go to the bank to get some rolls. Let me tell you, I can see how addicting this is.. there’s four big branch banks near my commute, spent over $250 which is not much. I’ll get $20-25 in dimes and whatever half dollars they have if any. So far I’ve asked for customer rolled dimes and any loose half dollars.

The teller’s next door neighbor had $39 in half dollars and specifically told him to include the silver one pictured. All this to say I’m excited and grateful since he knew I was looking for silver.

Questions You guys would have done the same thing right?

I met another CRH at my dump bank that had a coin machine. He had about $100 to dump and I had about 4k worth. He said he just started the hobby a few months ago, but his banks won’t give him Pennie’s or order boxes. I explained I get about 6 boxes a week from my main bank and they give me all the Pennie’s I want. He then asked “what bank?”

So I politely told him I can’t tell him that bc it’s my main bank and I’ve developed this relationship for years. Then I gave him pointers like just always be nice, take whatever they have to give, bring them a dozen donuts one morning and a few $10 QT gift cards during Xmas time. But I’m not dropping my spot! RIGHT???
