Question / Advice Obstacle course ideas needed!
I have a stall at my schools marketplace that was going to be sumo wrestling and I bought the suits and everything but they said it’s to dangerous so I can do an obstacle course instead. How on earth do I make this happen. I can borrow some stuff from the gym like tires and the like ladder thingy on the ground and cones but I want it to be big and span like the whole oval? Or at least half. And there needs to be two lanes so people can vs eachother. Any ideas?

Question / Advice what should I do with these Luna moth wings?
I found these wings on a hiking trail, i imagine a bird ate the body and left the wings. so i collected them with the intent to turn them into something beautiful but i cannot decide on what they would look best as. i’ve thought of resin coating them and turning them into jewelry but i just don’t know id wear them. I can’t think of what else i could do with them. any ideas?? i may just pin them in a shadow box if i can’t come up with something cooler. but i just felt sooo lucky to find all four wings in perfect condition

General discussion Straight or angled tweezers for placing really tiny miniature parts?
Tweezers seem like the simplest miniature tool until you need to place a part behind something else without your hand blocking the view. Straight tips look easier for direct placement, while angled tips seem more useful when the work area is recessed or partly hidden. Grip pressure matters too, but buying a whole precision set before knowing which shape I’d actually use feels unnecessary. For miniature-kit assembly, which tweezer tip shape ends up being the most useful for everyday tiny-part placement?

Question / Advice making a room for my doll, don’t know what else to add
hi! i recently purchased a plush doll and wanted to make one of my shelves into her room.
i’ve made the floor, the hangers and stand and a little laundry basket, and now a bed and pillow!
my plush is lucy owl from hazel village (12inches tall- tight fit lol) and the shelf is 11 inches tall and 13 inches across :)
i’m currently crocheting a throw blanket and plan on sewing a quilt at some point.
but besides that, i have no clue what else to add!

Question / Advice Felt busy book question!
Hey fellow crafters, I’m in the process of making busy books for my nieces and nephew. I’m making one at a time so they’ll get better as I go. The first one is super cute but all the bulk is at the bottom of the pages so the top of the book is super not thick and the bottom is super thick.
The obvious solution is to spread the bulk out for the next 3 but this one is done. Any advice on how to make it more even before I do the finishing touches like ribbon trim and signing it “love, Auntie”
Any and all inspiration, tips, tricks, advice for anything regarding felt books is welcome and appreciated.
I want to upload some pictures, but I am at work when I write this post so I will briefly describe my process.
I used chipboard and a three hole punch, I covered some pages and felt and summon fabric. For the front and back covers, I stuffed them with a little bit of batting for thickness. I used freezer paper to print templates on and cut around for more precise shapes. I used all velcro for fastening, hot glue for glueing stuff, i did use some fabric stiffener for some of the loose pieces of felt. I handsewed an embroidery-esque border on some pieces. I used ribbon for trimming the edges. And lastly I tied the book shut with ribbon and glued the knots.

Question / Advice Christmas ideas for Wife
Hello everyone, I come in search of awesome Christmas gifts for my extremely crafty wife. We are in our 20s and are as of recently very financially comfortable and I want to give her a great crafting themed Christmas. She crochets, sews (dresses, Halloween costumes, etc), cross stitches, and does lots of other crafts.
What are some really nice gifts I could get her? For example she hates our iron and I heard her mention to a friend that she wants a "crafting iron". What else has changed your crafting life? Im looking to spend around $500 total. Thanks in advance!

Question / Advice Plastic snap together kits vs traditional wood-and-paper miniature houses for a beginner?
I want to start a small hands on project after work, but I can’t decide between two completely different building styles. I’ve been looking at the rolife super creator vs diy miniature house series, and the main difference seems to be plastic click assembly versus gluing tiny paper and wood pieces. the wooden ones look cozier, but I’m worried I’ll get frustrated by glue lines and warped wood. Does the plastic series feel cheap once it’s finished, or is it actually a better starting point if i just want a low stress hobby?

Question / Advice Recommended websites for bit n' bobs like small studs, rhinestones, etc (no amazon, etsy, ebay, or other dropship style sites). Smaller buisness.
Hi! I like to buy supplies direct from companies through their own websites. I am so over the amazon and amazon-modeled sites (which unfortunately etsy has become). Ethically - not my jam! Ideally this would be located in the US.
Rhinestones are pretty easy to find sites that specialize in them that seem to be small*er* buisness - but where that's all they do.
Currently I'm wanting to buy other things that are used similarly to rhinestones, particularly small little glue on studs/spikes. Also interested in other cute accoutrements in that realm.
Im having a hard time finding this stuff in a non-dropship style site.
Anyone have a favorite site for buying little bits n' bobs?

Question / Advice Which materials would you use for a trees crown?
Hey im crafting a miniature tree (around 30cm high) and I'm wondering wich material I should use for the crown. I want it to look real and magical, but I need it so be stable enough.
I thought about using mache paper like the rest of the tree, but I'm not sure if I can make it look real with it. So do you have any suggestions for my tree? 🥰
I’m also not opposed to making a weeping willow, but I have even less of an idea how I might go about creating the leaves for it.

Question / Advice What would help my cross stitched patch clash less with the ones I bought?
So I have been working on this jacket for a bit and after purchasing the two luna moth patches (which I have no intention of removing, I love them) I'm feeling like my first two hand made works don't jive as well? The strawberry milk is a d grade satin stitch piece I did that is easily removed and added to something else, but my pixel moon is cross stitched directly onto the jacket and would be destroyed if I went through the unbelievably hellish effort of taking it off. So I'm wondering if you guys think the clash is that bad, and if so what I might maybe add to the starry night to make it get along a little better? Should the strawberry milk come off?

General discussion Ideas for a costume that incorporates passing out candy
I was a witch last year that had two cauldrons filled with candy. What are some other ideas like that?
I was thinking about being a magician with a top hat glued to a hole on a table that when you reach into the hat, you reach far down to a bucket of candy inside the table, but idk
