I bought a 7700x3d, did I shot myself in the foot? Should I return it?

I'm currently building a new pc to pair with a 5200mhz cl40 ram and a 5070ti (both already bought), and upon looking shipping times and availability I could only order a 9700x or a 7700x3d. I ordered the latter because I read excellent reviews of his close "brother", the 7800x3d, and the difference in performance seemed really small. But then I saw some benchmarks and read posts about this cpu, citing the fact that "even the 7600x3d is better than this", "binned cpus = made in china, failed, broken, unworthy, ecc...." and I started to think that I've made a terrible decision, also because I want to game but I also want a good processor for running applications, some little VMs, racing games, TSW, MSFS 2020, and some cpu bound games like Cities Skylines 1 and 2 (and yes I know the CS:2 situation is not good) or modded minecraft, and I was worried that the performances could have been really far behind the current generation.

I searched info for the 9700x but then I ran into the ASRock and ASUS mobo problems (and, unfortunately, I have bought a TUF Gaming B850 which happens to be just right in the range of affected motherboards... fantastic!)

I'm really losing my head across all those information! All I want is a good, fast, and durable pc to game and run programs on. Is this 7700x3d good or should I return it and change to the the 9700x?
