I'm starting to price out lower facelift for next year and the quotes I'm getting are all over the place once you add anesthesia and facility fees. What was the total you ended up paying and did you feel like the surgeon was transparent about extra costs upfront?

Almost every picture I see online is taken at just four to six weeks, when healing swelling is still making everything look super tight.
For people who are further out, how did your results actually hold up once all the swelling went away completely? Did any laxity creep back along the jawline, or are you still happy with the outcome?
Just trying to get realistic expectations before booking consultations

Trying to choose between Dr. Jonas Bico and Dr. Czar Philippe Yu for my first/virgin nose rhinoplasty.
I’m male, so one of my main priorities is getting a result that still looks natural and masculine, not overly done or too feminine. I’m also very particular about post-op care, follow-ups, and how the doctor handles concerns or complications after surgery, not just the aesthetic result.
I’ve already consulted with both doctors and I’m currently deciding who to go with.
For anyone who has personally had rhinoplasty with either of them, especially male patients, I’d really appreciate your honest experience regarding:
• final and long-term results
• whether the nose still looked natural and suited your face
• post-op care and follow-up appointments
• responsiveness of the doctor/clinic after surgery
• recovery, cast and suture removal
• ear cartilage donor-site care, if applicable
• how they handled swelling, asymmetry, or other concerns
• complications or revisions, if any
• overall bedside manner and whether you still felt taken care of after surgery
I’m especially interested in experiences beyond the first few weeks, since I want to know how the nose actually healed and settled over time.
I’ve consulted with both surgeons already and reviewed their available before-and-after results, but I’m still torn between the two.
Would really appreciate feedback from actual patients of Dr. Bico or Dr. Yu, whether positive or negative. If anyone is comfortable sharing before/after photos privately, that would also be very helpful.
Thank you!
I’d use this version because it follows the required format while still sounding like an actual Reddit post rather than a questionnaire.

I have done four consults in Manhattan and I am starting to think the problem is me. Two of them talked over me the whole time. One showed me photos of women who looked nothing like me and seemed annoyed when I said that was not what I wanted. The fourth was fine but I did not get a good feeling.
I am not looking for the biggest name or the most Instagram followers. I am looking for someone who asks questions and then actually uses the answers. I have a consult at Millennial Plastic Surgery coming up and a few people on here have said they are the low pressure type, but I want to hear from people who have actually sat in the room with them.
For anyone who has done this in NYC: how did you know you had found the right surgeon? Was it the consult, the staff, the photos, the vibe? I am starting to think the consult style matters more than the before and afters.

I had lip filler done just a few hours ago and the injector informed me that I would have a hematoma unfortunately. Since I left I have noticed that area slowly growing and I can feel more pressure. I’m not sure if it’s because the numbing is wearing off or if it’s a more serious problem. She did mention vascular occlusion and things to look out for, which I’m now paranoid I might be seeing. However the symptoms for a hematoma are very similar so I’m unsure. I tried calling their office but there is no after hours line. The underside of the lip is dark purple and the outside is my normal pink color, but I noticed a small amount of blanching. I’m not sure if it’s vascular occlusion or just blanching from the swelling.
UPDATE: Went to the ER and after an ultrasound the doctor confirmed it is just a hematoma. I plan to follow up with the injector tomorrow as well just for double confirmation. Thank you for the responses!

Im looking for a doctor in turkey for a primary rhinoplasty. Im between these two and im not sure how to make a final decision.
I really love Dr Burak Olgun results, and his work is exactly what im looking for in my surgery. I appreciate how he provides long term photos on his instagram, the only downside is ive heard just a couple of bad reviews.
For Dr Tolga Belice, his work also seems great and what im looking for, but the lack of long term results ive seen on his page is what is intimidating me, and so im unsure if hes what im looking for. The plus side to him as my choice is he has absolutely no negative reviews at all.
Ive talked to both teams already, Dr Burak Olgun gave me an estimate of $6000 and Dr Tolga Belice of $7000 (both all inclusive: hotel stay, hospital stay, transport from and to airport, etc)
Please help me out, and if you have any personal experiences with either one let me know too!
(For reference, i want more of a striaght slightly upturned nose. Not super scooped. I also don’t want it to be projected too far out and have like long nostrils)

Hello, this is Dr. Insoo Kirk from ONUL Plastic Surgery & Dermatology Clinic.
Today, I’d like to share a case involving an endoscopic forehead lift followed by double eyelid surgery.
Drooping around the eyes is one of the most noticeable signs of aging. However, for some Western patients, the distance between the eyebrows and the eyes is naturally quite short, making upper blepharoplasty more challenging.
The patient in this case had exactly this concern.
When performing an upper blepharoplasty, there needs to be sufficient space between the eyebrows and the upper eyelids to remove excess skin while maintaining a natural-looking result and creating a more defined double eyelid crease.
But what if there isn’t enough space?
In such cases, a forehead lift can be an alternative approach. Rather than removing too much skin from the upper eyelids, lifting the forehead and eyebrows can create more room around the eyes.
For this patient, I first performed an endoscopic forehead lift to elevate the eyebrows. Once the position of the eyebrows had been improved, I proceeded with double eyelid surgery to create a larger, more defined crease.
As you can see in the results, the eyebrows are positioned higher, and the visible forehead area has increased slightly.
The key is choosing the right procedure for each patient's anatomy. When the distance between the eyebrows and eyes is limited, addressing the brow position first may help achieve a more balanced and natural-looking upper eyelid result.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post!

I was curious if anyone experienced longer-lasting Botox when going to a derm or plastic surgeon's office instead of a med spa?
My Botox was only lasting two months, anyway, because I work out, but the last time I got injected it never kicked in even with touchups. I was curious if this is due to the product quality, the injector, or should I try different toxin?
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Please only comment if you’re a professional- not someone who has an opinion but not in the field of plastic or cosmetic surgery. My doctor in the widest 20 years experience , board certified plastic surgeon does BBLs but does not use ultrasound guidance. He said he only injects in the subcutaneous fat , with tactile feel, cannula parallel or pointed towards skin and said the cannula won’t puncture muscle and/or “he can feel the difference between muscle and the fat layer”. Is that true or is it absolutely not worth the risk of fat embolism ? It’s a mini bbl. He said around 600cc per butt cheek. Thanks in advance .

had ultherapy once before, about three years ago, at a place i picked because it was near my office. it was fine. i cannot tell you a single thing about how they decided what to do, because i did not ask and they did not say.
this time i went to brandnew in cheongdam and the difference that stuck is a screen. there is an ultrasound image running the whole session and the doctor looks at it before each line goes in. three depths. 1.5mm for the fine stuff around the eyes and brow, 3.0 for cheeks and the jawline, 4.5 for the layer under that. the idea, as it was explained to me, is that the depth gets chosen from what is under your skin that day rather than off a template.
can i prove that makes the result better. no. i can tell you it made me less tense lying there, which is not nothing when someone is firing ultrasound into your face for an hour. about 1,200,000 won, roughly 870 dollars.
numbing cream first, then sixty to ninety minutes depending how much ground you cover. the thing i would plan around is the four days after. it does not look like anything happened, but pressing on my own cheek hurt, & i would not book dinner with anyone who hugs.
it is also slow. week eight is when i saw it, and by week five i had privately filed the money under gone. you do it again in a year or so.
photo is the powder room. me fixing my face before leaving
