“People” consistently posting bikes that they don’t own…

Getting lots and lots of posts from a few offenders (some have recently been banned) just spamming the sub with pictures of bikes. (It’s likely that they’re bots but the last one we banned went on to make some really aggressive threats that sounded very human…) Some of them are clearly way out to lunch and got the axe, but some are posting relevant and legitimately cool bikes, but it just feels annoying because they aren’t contributing in the way of any original content.

Mod team is inclined to just start banning people who abuse posting random choppers from the internet, but if the rest of the sub likes seeing these bikes we can also let it slide. I get that people want to maybe share or discuss a cool bike that isn’t theirs, but if your ONLY contribution is consistently posting other people’s stuff we think it should be no warning and straight to ban. What say you?

Regarding BOTPOSTING and non-relevant content.

We've never previously banned anyone but we've banned several people (who were actually probably bots) this week that are just posting random barely chopper-relevant motorcycle content. Please just report all karma farming posts and I'll nix em.

If your neighbor REALLY DOES have a cool chopper or you saw a cool (actual) chopper on the street and you want to post a picture of it, put a little effort into it the post or it's just going to result in a ban.

We get that chopper can have a bit of a flexible definition, but if you're posting about your chopper or someone else's chopper, and it's got rear shocks on it... think long and hard about what you're about to do. We are willing to admit that swingarm choppers exist, but it's certainly not the norm.

Lastly, this is NOT the place for fat-tire, 2000's era OCC bikes. If it's got some weird-ass scoopy rear fender, consider posting it on r/DumpsterDiving

That is all.

Chopper builders/shops in and/or around Delaware?

Title is the question hahah, any builders out here in Delaware? I’ve seen a few chops riding around but have yet to bug anyone about them. Wanna find my people here and find some help along the way for my winter build

Let’s get at er. I’ll post more as I start putting parts back on and maybe make more detailed posts. Otherwise enjoy my ghetto paint booth

Is it a chopper? Meh…I’ve cut stuff off the frame and will be adding Panhead axle plates to the swingarm…but it’s still a softail.

Client has lower back issues, so a little rear suspension will keep his knees in the breeze. Lots left to do, but the overall picture is coming together to my liking.

A couple days ago I asked springer or girder for the triumph chop.

I decided to build both, first up is an angular springer. Then a.friend is taking measurements from this og triumph girder and I'll build a short girder. I'll get em both done and decide which I like better.

Tig Welder

Post image

I’m in the market for a new welding machine. I currently only have a DC stick welder. I’d like to add a AC/DC Tig machine to my garage. I picked up a 84 Shovel that I’d like to hardtail myself but I need a few more tools first. What machine do you recommend, have/had, likes/dislikes.

Pic of my future chop for attention

I’ve replaced the head gasket, but what’s causing the front cylinder to backfire?

Sorry for the questions guys, never owned a Harley and not many people in Ireland have them let alone build them. I replaced the head gasket and checked everything else over when the front cylinder was apart, no more pop from the head gasket but now it’s backfiring and skipping when idling. Any ideas?

Seeking Stock 95-03 sportster rear frame takeoff if any of yall kept em

I’m wanting to get my hands on some rear fender struts to weld or bolt it to the frame of my 93 so I can more securely mount my sissy bar on my swingarm daily. If any of yall held onto one let me know and we can maybe talk about shipping or something. Really hate the 86-93 frame so much, don’t wanna do a frame swap right now.

Born Free Texas

This is my first year going and I was just wondering how it usually goes as for motorcycle camping. You know, the good spots versus the bad ones. I’m riding up tomorrow afternoon and will be camping Friday and Saturday night. Im going solo so I wouldn’t mind meeting some new people, if anyone is interested in meeting and hanging out.
Thanks for any input.

Ended up with this Chopper. Cool ass bike but I’m not a motorcycle rider. Can you guys give me info if anything pops outs. Spoiler

Here’s what I know or what I was told anyway. My friend, his neighbor had this bike and left it at my friend’s house. He passed away about 10 years ago, and supposedly this bike was built for some sort of musician or something built in California about 06, 07, 08. It says blue label on it. It is all Harley Davidson stuff screaming eagle. I believe S&S and some different parts Jesse James tank supposedly super cool look I’m trying to decide if I should sell it keep it and try to ride it or just keep it and just have a cool ass chopper reminds me of when I was growing up and all those Orange County chopper shows I used to love watching with the family.

Honestly any information or just your opinion would be appreciated! It ran about a year and a half ago so gonna need a battery and little work to get it going but hopefully not much. Tank is rusted as well. I think it can be saved.

CCI USA solid wheels?

Post image
37 Upvotes

I’ve got a set of vintage CCI USA 16x3.50 wheels on my shovel and found a 21” rim at a swap meet the other day. Don’t know what to do with it currently but I had to buy it.

I personally love em because they’re just like a plain disc. Also never seen them anywhere; I like the unusual stuff

Anyone has seen or run these wheels before?
