Today, I got to try the new Casio G-Shock with a full sapphire case, and honestly, it’s amazing. For all of my personal Casios, including G-Shocks, vintage series watches, Edifice automatics, and Duros, they’re all inexpensive, incredibly durable, and at least in some way, shape, or form, quirky. For this latest edition, it’s a real break from their traditional pieces and a true juxtaposition with their usual affordability. Even so, it’s one of the most impressive watches I’ve ever handled, with an amazing gold motif on the actual dial, and it really shows what happens when the designers at Casio let their hair down and experiment with new and interesting materials.

Hard to read unless you have fighter pilot vision, no 24hr option, useless backlight, scratch magnet. Love it.

Due to some recent financial difficulties, I’ve had to liquidate a vast majority of my beloved Seiko collection over the last year or so. It has sucked. A lot. In an effort to lessen the blow, if I had to sell a particularly valuable or meaningful one, I’d buy a cheeky Casio.

I already had several Casios, but now I’ve amassed what I have to say is a pretty decent collection! Getting back into the brand has really helped keep my enthusiasm for the watch hobby at least somewhat intact.

Finances have somewhat improved and I’m sure I’ll start adding a few Seikos back that I really miss over time, but I’ll be much pickier this time around.

This is 95% of the Casios. A couple have broken straps/bracelets. Not going to list them all here, but can answer questions below.

While watching the launch trailer for GTA 6, I couldn't help but notice the watch on the guy's hand. It seems oddly similar to an AE-1500WH. Zoomed in and saw "TAKIO" on the dial. I think it's a cool homage to the brand. They could've gone with any smartwatch brand, but decided to use a Casio-like watch to reflect the hard-working personality of the main character.

I fell in love with the collab between Casio and Café Kitsune the first time I saw it.
This watch became available in Mexico a few weeks after the initial release in Europe and Asia (as always) and I was lucky enough to get it before it sold out.

Found this late last night, was pretty excited

When having GBD 200 and changing to Casio AE 1600H for work I have to say that I want MIP screens on every Casio and G-Shock, especially when I really prefer negative displays 👀 Outside of that aspect the design, the comfort, the screen to body ratio and value of AE 1600H is just awesome. Even the not so great negative display and the pointless but fun animation make the watch look great. I wonder if there is a better overall package for me than this 🤔
