Apartment Recs
Commuting to NC state, Iâm currently 0/3 on newly constructed apartments without a pest infestation. Trying to be within 20-25 minutes of the campus.
For those curious, Ray At The Weld, District Square, and Iâll drop the third once Iâm done dealing with them. Manager there is currently harassing me, can never be too safe.
Just want something new and without an infestation.

Gas Smell in Cary 10/21
Trying to track this down some and/or spread some awareness: it currently smells pretty strong like natural gas in Lochmere/Coventry neighborhoods (near Cary Pkwy/Tryon intersection).
We just had the fire dept come out, they said theyâve had multiple calls from here to up Walnut street a ways and cant figure out what it is. They smell it too, but are not seeing it on their detectors. Obviously if you smell it, go on the side of caution and still call. Worst case they can note where its going on and hopefully figure it out!

Cary voters: the Wake County sheriff race affects the entire county. Hereâs where the two candidates stand on five major issues.
I asked Democratic incumbent Willie Rowe and Republican challenger Kenneth Blackwell the same five questions ahead of the Wake County sheriff election.

Religious cult or trafficking? In fenton and triangle
Ive been seeing tiktoks of women, couples being approached by girls or couples discussing one on one bible study at their house and encouraging them to go home with them, and being followed. tonight i was approached. my gf and i had just finished dinner everyone is enjoying themselves in fenton with families but for the most part its a groups of people through out fenton, we just happened to be walking away from fenton square away from the crowd passing the Italian restaurant and this couple approached us out of the blue it was light skin tall dude with dreads and a black female with short curly hair they didnât look sketchy at all, but can definitely tell they werenât together they were walking too far from each other, as he passed me he stopped and said âhey this is weird but would you want a one on one personalized bible study with usâ its 7:30 pm at night its dark. I clearly state no Iâm okay, and they both quickly turned to my gf with huge smiles as if they have gotten a second chance, cause She was quiet and she said nope and we kept it moving. they just walked away or so i thought, something seemed weird because as they âwalked awayâ i didnât hear speak to each other and i didnât hear their foot steps leaving, so i walked about 10 feet and i turn my head, and theyâre walking our way again, so i grab my gf hand and cross the street to the ice cream place where there was people outside enjoying them selves, so i keep an eye on them and they kept walking but they passed single men and older ladies and didnât bother them and i just left i wasnât gonna risk my significant otherâs safety, i could of handled him if it came to it. But over all a very weird interaction.

NC DMV
Took my cousin to renew her license during the week in Cary. I figured it would be a quick in and out. Turns out the person working for the DMV was being very thorough and found two âprofilesâ for my cousin in their system. Apparently, there was a super old entry from years ago that needed to be merged with her most recent renewals and she could not renew until this was resolved. Said it would take 2-3 weeks for it to be merged.
Has anyone heard of or had an experience like this?

Sciatica pain
Anyone have positive experiences with specialists in Cary that deal with sciatica? I'm three weeks into the worst, unceasing, unrelenting pain that I have ever been in. Three weeks of not really being able to sit down or lay down. I sure would appreciate any suggestions.

Voting place buffer zones
Wondering what other people's experience has been, and your opinion on it ...
I suppose the campaigners are following the rules and staying out of the buffer zones measured a certain distance from the voting place 'door' ... but when there is a line extending outside of the door, I don't like the campaigners coming up to me while I'm waiting in line. I do my research ahead of time and don't want to talk to the campaigners. It's bad enough having to walk through the 'gauntlet' of over eager campaigners - but even worse when you're a captive audience waiting in the line.
Here is the official rule, and it doesn't seem to cover people standing in line outside the building https://www.ncleg.gov/enactedlegislation/statutes/pdf/bysection/chapter_163/gs_163-166.4.pdf

What holes are being used in the SAS Championship?
I think itâs the back nine on Highlands and maybe 9 of the 10 holes on Meadows that are not across Morrisville Parkway. If that is true then what hole are they skipping on Meadows?

Loud engines, exhaust in west Cary
Approx 10.55pm, Friday, 10/16/26 - what is with these loud engines, loud exhaust and constant sounds like they are racing, stopping and then starting again.
This is around Green Level Church Road and Yates Store Road, and O'Kelly Chapel. Are the police not doing anything?

Got this on my car after parking on a public street. Should I go talk to the guy?
Wasn't blocking a driveway, fire hydrant, nothing.
