News IVFA Canberra to Close Before Christmas

I’m shocked! We have two embryos left and they are offering to move them to a Sydney clinic for free or pay to transfer to a different IVF business in Canberra.

No word on where Dr Adair is going to now.

What a shame!

Recommendations Bulk Rock Salt for sale and local pick up?

I'm looking for 10kg bags of rock salt for a craft project - something like the Saxa or Olsson's brands - but having trouble finding any local suppliers and I'd prefer to avoid freight costs if possible.

It's not for consumption or bathing/cleaning purposes, so if there are any non-food grade options, I could consider them. Just needs to be white salt in crystal/rock form, not fine or flakes.

Can anyone recommend a supplier? I do have an ABN so can use wholesale only or hospitality supply companies. The only place I've found is Superior Foods with a location in Fyshwick, however their website seems fairly broken and won't let me choose that location as an option (and the Google reviews are few but terrible).

Anywhere in ACT or close to the border either side would be fine. Cheers!

News Luggage taken from doorstep, Whitlam, 10am today

Hi all,

At around 10am this morning, I left my luggage outside my front door at Whitlam, while my girlfriend and I went to get the car from the car park. By the time we drove back, it was gone. It looks like it was picked up by an older lady, who may have thought we'd left it out for anyone to take.

Inside was everything I'd packed to take back to China, which I was about to fly to from Sydney. That included supplements for about eight people: fish oil, vitamins, and menopause medication for my mum and her female colleagues.

This also comes less than a month after two strangers broke into our home one morning.

On the bright side, airport security is going to be a breeze. And somewhere in Whitlam, a lady I've never met is now stocked up on supplements for the foreseeable future. I genuinely wish her good health. She's now getting better care than my own mum.

The police have been notified.

Events Creepy dude at Black Mountain

Went for a ride today, thought I'd swing by the tower for some sunset pics. Decided I was getting tired and stopped by the bench because there were two other riders up top and I'm socially awkward. It was odd enough already that there was a dude just sitting in the car, but I ignored it. I parked, sat down and the dude approached me. Got real close, up in my personal space. All white hair, dark specs, cap, maybe 60s? 70s? I don't know. I thought he was just there to enjoy the view like me. He started commenting on my bike, which is a topic I enjoy talking about, but then he called me a 'nice handsome boy' and my suspicion spiked. He then proceeded to touch my jacket and pants as if "checking what riding gear feels like", and then my face. Odd thing was, it was the way my grandfather would pat my cheek because he hasn't seen me in a decade, making sure I'm riding safe and stuff. I figured he must be mentally sick or something. But then he started unzipping my jacket. And more... So I grabbed my helmet and ran. First time I've properly hit redline on this bike. 16,000 RPMS, I didn't look back. I'm not a small dude. Stocky 5'9. I've had experience in multiple martial arts, both traditional and sport, I know how to defend myself, but the way this dude just walked up to me and touched me... I never thought I'd be in that situation in my life. I'm 20. This is the first time in my adult life I've genuinely been afraid of another person. I hope he was just some sick guy. This post is out here for awareness. Sorry for the long read.
