Informational interviews?
My husband was laid off this week, and he’s too dignified to post on Reddit so I’m being a helicopter supportive partner.
He’s been working in CX, content design, and support, but there are some areas he could shift to. Is there anyone out there who could do an informational interview (or, obviously, a straight-up interview) with him about:
Video assist: He used to be the customer support/success guy for Moxion (now Autodesk Flow Capture) and he knows basically everything there is to know about that product and is familiar with QTake. What does that work look like from the other side of the product?
Camera Operation: Ditto re Moxion/Autodesk Flow Capture.
Postproduction/dailies: Ditto re Moxion/Flow Capture.
Contract work: Maybe** **overhauling documentation and making it both human and AI friendly (for yr chatbots). Curious about firms for this.
Photography, especially concert photography: He’s really good at this! Truly! Portfolio on request!
Cookie entrepreneurship: He’s spent years developing the perfect salted chocolate chip cookie. Does anyone have experience getting a food product into coffee shops or pizzerias?
Ridiculously good chocolate chip cookies for anyone up for sharing some time to talk about their experiences with any of these roles!

Tim Robinson vs The Burbank Police
More screenshots: For months now Tim has been DEEP in the comments of every single post from the Burbank Police Department.
There's not even a bunch of likes, or fans responding -- he's purely doing it for the love of the game.
What a king.

New airport terminal bike access - video!
I finally had a chance today to check out the new airport terminal in person, by bike, for the https://www.burbankbikemap.com project (which has now been updated with the new lanes, paths, and bike racks I was able to find around the new terminal)!
Part one of what I saw today is viewable as a ride-along video on youtube, which you can check out here: https://youtu.be/FW0GvSiSKqw?si=WaU4z6mFg_sdYqAa
The cliff notes:
- To get to the terminal by foot or on a bike, there is a curving multi-use path on the south side of the road in, leading from the Hollywood/Winona intersection up to the terminal. It's about a 10 minute walk - on a cloudy day like today it was honestly pretty nice, but on hotter days it's going to be less than ideal, especially because it's a slight uphill the whole way and there isn't going to be much shade until the landscaping grows in.
- Once at the terminal, there's a ton of bike/micromobility parking! Most of it is unsheltered and probably more useful for airport employees than for travelers
- Someone said there is supposed to be some more secure/sheltered bike parking in the car garage, but there were no signs indicating this and in my explorations today I wasn't able to find it
- Despite being a bit of a trek, the path in provides way nicer access than the narrow, caged-in walkway at the old terminal. And if it turns out there are bike lockers or more secure bike parking options in the garage, this could actually make it viable for a traveler to get to the airport with a cargo bike for luggage, and leave the bike there for the duration of the trip
- I also checked out access between the terminal and the AV Line Metrolink station to the north, but I'll share more about that in another update. It's not awful but also... not amazing lol
It's all feels a bit "he's a little confused, but he's got the spirit!" Clearly some good intentions, with some weirdness in actual, practical functionality. But encouraging to see at least somewhat more attention on making it safe/viable to use modes other than driving!

I keep seeing this ad on The Weather Channel app. I am so close to looking elsewhere for my weather needs.

Rancho area questions!
Hi! I'm considering moving to the Rancho area, a half a mile or so from the equestrian center. It is so beautiful there, but I was wondering if residents/people who work nearby can speak to the quality of life... and specifically if it's generally smelly from the horses. Silly, I know, but I am curious before I bite!
I'm actually originally from a very rural area, so I'm used to the scent, but I'd rather not have it linger! Are the streets generally clean? Is it worse/pervasive any time of year?
Thank you!

I always wanted to make Burbank in SimCity 2000. So it was quite a shock to recently discover that it came with the vanilla game! The "Hollywood" scenario is actually Burbank, North Hollywood, and the Hollywood Hills.
Funny how there are FAR more entrances and exits on the 134 than there are IRL 😂

🧊 waiting around 608 E Tujunga building
Update: confirming this was not ICE rather a criminal investigation with several HSI agents and unmarked vehicles on the scene which led to the confusion. Take care neighbors!

Camera Operators in Burbank
Hi, I'm currently trying to film my own comedy web series and I basically have everything set to start filming, I just need a camera operator. That's my missing piece. If any camera operators in the Burbank area are interested, I would love to hear from you. You don't need to have a ton of experience, in fact I'm pretty sure this will help you gain experience. As long as you have a camera and know how to use it, that's all I need.
If you're interested please email me at [elisaapollo2388@gmail.com](mailto:elisaapollo2388@gmail.com) or you could just comment/message me on here. Thank you :) (And my show is kind of a mix of Community and Parks and Rec. NOTE: This isn't a paid thing, so if you don't mind that, that would be great)

For those that have used Rideshare for the new BUR airport, which address did you put in?
My uber and Lyft app automatically only show the old airport address and I’m wondering if it’ll cause confusion putting in the new address which just shows a random street on the road lol

Landlord Lobby (CAA) just donated $10,000 to Don't LA My Burbank
Landlord Lobby (CAA) just donated $10,000 to Don't LA My Burbank, who has endorsed David Donahue, Samantha Wick, and Jackie Waltman for Burbank City Council. These 3 candidates sought the DLAMB endorsement and proudly accepted it.
When these 3 candidates say they want to help tenants or that they believe housing is a human right, remember they're supported by the landlord lobby, funded by them, and beholden to them, not to Burbank residents or our 60% tenant majority.

Has anyone seen for rent signs in burbank?
Trying to find a one bed one bath in burbank (quiet, calm, peaceful residential street). This might be wild to post on here but if anyone has seen for rent signs or knows of anything let me know! Has to have parking, second floor (or up), under 2k but able to do 2050.

What to expect flying out of Burbank this weekend
I am flying out of the new Burbank Terminal on Friday afternoon, and I am wondering what to expect. Specifically will any of the restaurants be open? We have a 5 hour flight and I will need to plan ahead if there is going to be nowhere to eat once inside.
I saw a few posts early last week but wasn't sure if anything had changed over the weekend or course of this week.
