What made this show successful is the incredible chemistry between the actors; these BTS moments make it look like your uncle's wedding

Hiiii Bones fans,
Emily and Carla here! We are sooo excited to do this AMA with all of you. Working on our podcast Boneheads has been such a fun excuse to revisit the show, and honestly... we’ve both become fans in a whole new way. Watching it back with fresh eyes and hearing from you has been the best part.
We wanted to take a little time to hang out and chat. So tomorrow, June 6th, from 3 to 4 PM PST we’ll be right here in this thread, live, doing our best to reply to your questions, fan theories, random thoughts... anything you’re curious about. FMKs welcome. So are weird murder memories.
We’ll be the ones typing slowly and laughing a lot. Bear with us as we answer. We’re not exactly tech pros (unfortunately, that’s more Bones and Daisy’s specialty than ours).
Can’t wait to talk to you soon!
XO,
Emily and Carla

I want to give her some credit. I feel like this sub rarely did because people are so upset/mad with her kisses.
I once saw a comment saying she's never nice to Hodgins until he got paralyzed, which is so not true. Angela has been very supportive throughout all his challenges in life, as early as his kidnapping.
When Hodgins lost all his money the first thing Angela did was to tell him she loves him and they'll be fine, assuring him she's not leaving him for that and they're gonna get through it together. And she supported every decision he made afterwards, whether he wanted to get a loan from bank instead of taking Brennan's money or to donate 4 freaking billions away. She stayed at the Jeffersonian for him. Heck, she even helped him birth that human bot fly which I'm sure I would've snapped. Give her some grace😂 Hodgins is very supportive and patient in this marriage, so is Angela.

Brennan attempting to play with Prince Charmington is one of the funniest bits Deschanel has in the show. Poor Christine. Playing dolls with Mom must have been a trip. Imagine what Brennan would say about Barbie's unrealistic proportions.

I know it was always super obvious booth ans brennan belong together, but i feel like dropping hannah of the show after such few episodes was so many wasted potential

Early on Bones seemed way more empathetic to pigs and their sentient nature. In this episode Angela is pleading with everyone to help her save a pig, even if just to be a good friend. Why didn’t they help her out right away? I love everyone but did not like how they treated her this episode until the end
What do yall think?

S8 E14 The Doll in the Derby
This is the episode where Angela goes undercover and gets a little tipsy and kisses Booth which I think is unnecessary.
I don't have any hate for Angela's character but this episode, for me, showed that she's one of those "best friends" that ends up sleeping with your bf/husband. She's always thought Seeley was hot but her thoughts never dwindled after she got married and even after Brennan got with Booth.

I love them, I think they add so much to the show, they really ground an episode into something more homey. I really do get a giddy little feeling of the domesticity with them both that feels hard earned and really deserved. Maybe im just sentimental, but its just such a comforting way to end the episodes

I’ve always liked Booth, but S6E13 at the bar was the first time he scared me.
He asks what’s wrong with women, not what’s wrong with him. A woman in that position would have turned it inward. Framing it as a problem with the entire gender felt like a very male move.
Some people call it a great scene, but watching him that angry, I’d be looking for the exit. And if that had happened in a private room instead of a bar, it would have been genuinely frightening.
I couldn’t read Brennan either. Was she scared, or sympathetic? I asked my husband and he didn’t really see what I meant, so I’m curious how others here read it.

I’ve seen many posts about disliking Cam in the early seasons. I’d like to express why she sucks continually.
Michelle. Multiple times she behaves selfishly and childish. From deciding to date the gyno she picked for her daughter (after drilling her abt sex) to going behind her back with college applications, Cam continually disregards Michelle’s wants for her own vision of what she desires Michelle to be.
Arastoo. The leap from “I’ve seen the devil” to the terrorist view of “the great satan” is bigoted, and for gods sake she’s the boss why discuss such gossip with Arastoo’s colleagues?
There’s other small stuff that I find insufferable but those are the main points tbh.

S06E09 really is one of the best episodes.
The acting, the music composition, the way Bones' introspection takes a turn and she realises she missed her chance. Aaaaa. 🥲
I'm rewatching and remembering how much i loved that one.

sorta spoilers
i normally skip by this episode during my rewatches of the show decided to not skip it today and watched it was sobbing halfway through was trying to attempt to do homework and I almost got tears on the page. I finished the episode out and they did amazing job with it.
It’s always hard to say goodbye to a very loved character in this case Mr. Nigel Murray,, but I do think they did a good job with the next episode being lighthearted, but I wish they went back to talking about Nigel a little bit more.

It’s the very last episode and they didn’t have any relationship issues till then. The relationship was even set up as being ‘special’.
Was it fan base influence? Did people think Karen and him made a better couple? So the writers were throwing the fans a bone? 😅
I agree Karen isn’t a bad choice but I liked Jessica too. And it felt so sudden and left me confused.

Im on S9E5 and I hate that it feels like dr. Wells was changed from an adhd dork who excelled in many facets but overall quite enjoyable into an obnoxious know it all. I really thought he was fun as a goofy one-off character but he feels like he was written more like an early-season daisy without the people pleasing trait. I havent finished the episode, so maybe im pulling the trigger too fast
As funny as this bit is, my god....

When I watched this ep I remembered that one episode when Booth had to do the surgery and he had that dream about him and bones in a relationship and how she told him in the dream that she was pregnant.

The final scene in “The Spark in the Park” (S9E11), when Tempe goes to Dr. Watters’ office to see if he’s doing all right, and he shows her the series of mathematical equations describing his daughter’s life in motion. Some absolutely perfect acting from Emily and Richard Schiff that brings me to tears every time.

Just rewatching The He in the She and forgot how amazing Angela is in the interrogation room the way she deciphers body language and relationship clues was great and so much more in line work her character than whatever generic hacker she became.
She so needed to be used in that room more.

I have been watching the show for the first time and now im im in the end of S7, did something change in the production? Because it feels like its an entirely different show. I feel like before it was a show about crime with some drama but now its a show about drama with some crime.
And the production seems to be very sloppy, no thrill to any of the crimes anymore. They just go up to the killer in the end of a episode and thats it.
The chemistry between Bones and Booth also seems of, i fell in love with the show because of the chemistry between 2 people thats very different but now that have just fallen of i guess

I've loved this show since I was a kid. And I'm rewatching now that I'm an adult - it's still a great show.
I've lived in VA all my life, and I sometimes I think it's so funny how obvious the creators aren't from the south. Like, their reactions to people owning guns is kinda crazy sometimes. I'm watching 3x12, and they found a revolver in the victim's home and they automatically assumed she was in some kind of trouble because of that. But like, no, baby girl, she lives in West Virginia!! 60% of adults in WV have a gun in their home. Gun culture is so heavily prevalent in the South. I know in Virginia, especially in rural towns like where this episode takes place, guns are soo super common, it wouldn't shock anyone if they found out their neighbor had a gun. But I guess also, Booth and Bones being from DC, there isn't as big of gun culture and maybe it would be kinda shell-shocking to find people having hand guns.

I need my flair to say “Angela has AIDS?!” Or “his hair…it looks like Hitler.” Or even “King of the Lab.”
Thank you in advance.
Currently on S5 Ep7, he's just said "I can't wait for Mr Nigel Murray to be a Dr one day!"
