Unsolved Tried to animate a character holding a item and dropping it. Read Desc. NSFW

Context: I am using have the "panty" hanger models root bone as a "child of" constraint attached to the female models hand bone. (The left one.) and I can't seem to make it so that the panty hanger is no influenced by the left hand bones movement. I made the last key frame of the panty hangers root bone to set its influence down to 0 and yet its STILL TIED TO THE HAND MOVEMENT when I move the womens hand to pose her. While the panty hangers should just be stayed in one place on the counter. So how would I make it so that the panty hanger model is not longer a "child" of the hand bone after the character "lets go" of the item?

Whenever i add subdivison surface there seems to be these big holes that appear in the mesh, but i swear i tried my hardest to keep the quads right. It also seems to go away when i crank the subdivision way up (maybe they jsut get smaller?) I thought maybe it was a normal issue so i tried recalculating them, but it still didnt work

Solved How to ensure this texture doesn't get deleted on start up?

Thumbnail

Going somewhat crazy, blender keeps deleting this texture file on start up so i always need to redo all of it to use for sculpt brush textures. I tried:

-Packing it
-Ensuring they have a fake user
-Have the textures be in a folder where the blend file is for a cleaner path

But when i restart the whole texture + image is nowhere to be found and the search result is empty, anyone any further ideas?

One problem that confuses me is that it always points to an onedrive map, even tho I copied said map to my local folder and choose my assets there

EDIT: Not delete, unlink from blender

Unsolved Blender keeps crashing with “Out of Memory” when rendering my apartment interior - looking for help

Hey everyone!

I'm a beginner learning Blender, and I've been working on my biggest project so far: an apartment interior.

I modeled the building structure myself, including the walls and room layout, and assembled the interior using furniture and decorative assets from BlenderKit. I've also worked on the camera angles, lighting, and HDRI.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to render the final image because Blender keeps crashing with an “Out of Memory” error. My project file is around 300 MB.

My laptop specs:

- CPU: Intel Core i5-13450HX

- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (6GB VRAM)

- RAM: 16GB

- Blender: 5.2.0 LTS

- Render engine: Cycles (GPU Compute)

I've already tried:

- Reducing the HDRI resolution to 4K

- Lowering render samples to 32

- Reducing the render resolution to 50%

- Testing CPU rendering as well as GPU rendering

Unfortunately, I'm still running into memory issues.

I'm not in a position to upgrade my hardware right now, and I'd really like to finish this project rather than abandon it.

Could someone help me identify what's consuming so much memory or suggest ways to optimize the scene? If the scene genuinely requires more resources than my laptop has, I'd also appreciate help from anyone willing to render few still images from my existing camera setup.

I can share the ".blend" file if needed, after checking that the external assets are accessible.

I'm still learning, so any troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Solved Help with a too pointy nose

I am Currently working on a 3d Model of a Plane in Blender. It's comming along fine but half way through I realized that the Nose of said plain is too pointy.

My problem is, that the Nose consists of only one Edge.

Is there a way to either thicken out the Edge or any work-around?

Unsolved Grease pencil animation heavily pixelating / losing quality after rendering

The animation looks fine and high quality in the viewport (1st picture), but after rendering, it loses a lot of quality (2nd picture). I've tried playing it in Windows media player, VLC and my phone, and they all display the same pixelation. The resolution of the output is set to 1920 x 1080 pixels and MPEG-4.

Grease pencil settings in Rendering tab

I also checked that there wasn't any pixelate effect applied to it. Is there a way to make it look better?

Unsolved How do I align objects properly when following a reference

I'm trying to accurately recreate this image and used perspective plotter to try and match the camera angle. It looks good in the camera perspective but in any other perspective things are too far apart etc etc. For the cube highlighted, do I just need to scale it smaller and bring it closer? But then its the same size as the other ceiling cubes so that wouldn't be accurate either. Help

Unsolved Deleting geometry upon reaching z of water surface?

Building on the work that came out of this post, I was wondering if anyone would be able to cook up a means with either the geometry nodes that came out of it or some other means to remove the generated water bubbles when they reach the surface. That is to say that if the bubbles reach the top of the water volume in the dunk tank which is described, then they "pop" while the rest of them are still rising, adding realism to the fact that the water doesn't go any higher than is shown in the scene. At the moment, I believe that the delete geometry node is what I need; but at the same time, actually getting it to work is proving to be elusive.

Any ideas?

the one on the left is just following a curve, and looks much better
is there a way to make the armatured one look as smooth as the curved one?
