Relationships 🫶🏿 Have you ever been to the side guy to a married woman or a girl who's in a relationship?

I know a lot of guys who say they don't care if a girl as a boyfriend or if she's married they would still hook up with her. Have you guys ever been that guy? Have you ever been in a situation like that?

Discussion 💬💭 To the civil rights lawyers (or friends of civil rights lawyers) among us: Do we have a case against Reddit (and the Black People of Reddit sub) when black men got banned by the same person simply because she does not like what we said?

I'd also like to invite u/WuTang4thechildrn to this discussion since I consider him a decent person who happens to be a mod of that sub.

I really do not believe one person can infringe upon our First Amendment rights to that extent.

I also do not believe Reddit gave her the sole authority to select what kind of black people get to use that sub-Reddit.

What are your thoughts?

Prayers up for him but that story is crazy 😳 Dude wasn't allowed to sleep but was somehow medically cleared to play. Now the blood clots have moved to his lungs and he's out for the season.

Announcement 📣 Posts about r/BlackPeopleofReddit

It's my wife's birthday weekend so I been in and out. I know little of what's going on between y'all in here and BlackPeopleofReddit, so it's not for me to speak on that specifically. However, we typically only allow screenshots of convos if it's to report someone doing something malicious to Black people or youth – warning everyone of some type of predatory behavior (a PSA).

It has been a general rule of thumb in this sub to remove posts that use screenshots of other users to bash or disrespect them and these posts are veering towards disrespect (ex: "psychopath", "crazy", etc.). They will not be allowed to continue in this manner.

Discuss what you will if you have actual, concrete evidence of malicious behavior beyond being a disagreement or social media spat, but we WILL NOT allow users to disparage other Black folk/communities or brigade against them. Please keep this in mind that anything that falls under incivility or brigading (even indirectly) WILL be removed, that's been the policy here.

We aim to build a healthy space for us here, tough discussions and all, but it must be done so with a respect to the rules and one another

Thank you everyone.

Community Over Everything 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾 More on the Black People of Reddit sub-reddit

More on the racial identity of the head mod of BlackPeopleofReddit and her replies to my posts and comments

First, I sincerely thank u/Doo-DooBrown who got the discussion started here. He has been one of my favorite OGs of this sub. I am now going to give my testimony as well.

I do remember when only BlackPeopleTwitter was the only major black sub that had a huge audience up until the first half of 2025.

Then, someone with the name Morgan started using the Reddit account u/4reddityo that created the BPOR sub. I do remember the picture of a black woman as their profile pic. I could not say for sure that it was an A.I.-generated picture, but it could be (as other people have alleged). She moved on to the u/ateam1984 account after u/4reddityo was banned. She did not use that profile pic for the u/ateam1984 account. I doubt she would address this part of my post. But anyone here can corroborate or dispute my recollection.

As the BPOR sub grew, I started posting on it quite regularly--knowing that a good percentage of its audience aren't black. In general, my posts are about black people and black lives, past and present. BPOR at least let me post those things, while BPT would delete them as soon as I post them.

Morgan and I had some interactions since I became a frequent poster of BPOR. A few of her opinions did stand out:

  1. She is staunchly supportive of Karmelo Anthony getting a fairer treatment by the criminal justice system. That I do agree with her wholeheartedly.
  2. She puts reparations as a top priority of her political ideology. I just had some back and forth discussion about that with her just the other night. I disagreed with her that opting out is a better strategy than not voting Democratic in this era.
  3. She and I have different POVs (and definitions) of political allies. She thinks that black people have no allies. But I don't see allies as friends: Allies to me are more like frenemies. We do business with the ones who don't pledge allegiance to white supremacy so we can make meaningful progress for our betterment/advancement--like how our early generations have been able to achieve.

So, those are my first thoughts. In summary, I can't really say if she's a black woman but she didn't come across as a psyop EVEN THOUGH she failed to acknowledge that letting the Republicans win has cost black lives dearly within our lifetimes.

Update 1: u/ateam1984 perma-banned me at 6:20PM without citing a reason.

I stuck to the facts in this post. I did not resort to name-calling or personal insult.

I really think Reddit needs to do something about her identity.

Election interference is not a joking matter.

And Reddit, as a publicly traded company, cannot afford bad publicity that hurts their bottom line.

Vent Duke player under criticism after shoving female athletic trainer - who originally shoved him first.

Not gonna lie, this whole thing pisses me off.

So as you can see, a player is hurt on the field, medical personnel is helping him. A team trainer comes running in and shoves #5 Kimari Robinson out of the way. He pushes her hand away in some "fuck off me though!" manner.

Folks on the internet have lost their shit... you'd swear he beat her within half an inch of her life let them tell it.

The level of gaslighting that we have to endure every day is insane!

He's checking up on his player, as a concerned player does. She had plenty of space to get to him, and if not telling him to back up would have sufficed. She shoved him aside and he reacted instinctively.

Like most things everyone ignores the initial offense and pretends he just swatter her hand away in a vacuum.

What makes this worse is how stuff like this justifies racism under the guise of feminism. People in the comments are saying the usual bullshit like "he must be a domestic abuser" or "you must support DV if you are siding with him." Some are calling for his suspension or expulsion!

To me, shit like this looks like the usual white entitlement we have dealt with for the past 400+ years. How they feel they can grab you, push you, otherwise act like you don't exist in their space. I swear, I'm in sporting events all the time, and can't tell you how much white people will stand directly in front of you like you don't exist, shove past you, stand too close and try to "box you out" of your territory, etc. This is giving that.

And again, if she needs to get to the injured player and tells him, he should move, but swap the player and trainer and do you think the comments would be the same? It'd be all: "Don't touch people without consent..." "That's what he gets" or Basically my rant but with misogyny as the focus and they'd still be accusing him of DV.

I don't take kindly to every action we do being hyper-criminalized, and I think some of the black dudes trying to cape don't realize they're feeding into white supremacy dog-whistling.

But maybe you disagree...

Discussion 💬💭 Do you buy generic?

Light discussion.
Generally I don’t buy generic. In my opinion food isn’t as favorable and non-food stuff doesn’t work right.
My latest example is we had to get more liquid dishwashing soap. My wife picked the generic brand. It’s just soap, right? Well, it doesn’t get as soapy but the worst part is the spout keeps getting clogged. I have to constantly stick a toothpick in the hole to get the soap out.

Anyway, what’s your experience with generic vs name brand?

Finance 💰📈 Is spending $1K a month going out excessive?

I'm 41 years old. I live in Charlotte and bring home close to $10K a month after taxes. I rent for $2000 a month. I consider myself an average income earner, but I recently realized I'm spending almost $1,000 a month going out twice a week. 😂

My job is stressful as hell, and honestly, having some drinks, listening to music, and being around /hanging with beautiful women is how I decompress.

I pay my bills, save, and invest, but damn, that's almost $12K a year just having fun.

How much are y'all spending going out? Is $1K a month too much around here?

I use to love That 70s Show as kid. Me and my cousin would sing the show theme whenever we was in a car 🤣🤣.

And also Shameless too. That's not a sitcom show. But the show was relatable to me though, because my family was very dysfunctional too.

Probably late to this(was shafted by a 7 day ban), but has anyone seen that video of a black woman saying black men are hard to love? Of course whatever men that lady was dealing with, she wants to generalize the entirety of black men. But yet id be considered wrong if i said the same thing about women

And someone in the comments has a link to their proof that they aren't a black woman.

More importantly... Please vote in your general state elections. Google who your representatives currently are, who is running, what they are running for, etc... because it wasn't just that sub that got hijacked. This one did as well. And some of them were verified folk that... Well, let me not say where they're from unless I'm 100% sure. Because one of the posters that posted here during the elections, posts at that place now.

Anyway, all the best to you, fellas.🙏🏿🙏🏿

Edit: Took out my initial edit because i was being inflammatory. But I have been banned too. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Discussion 💬💭 We need to talk...

Have any of you noticed a trend with these recent AI cosplay videos? From Drake's video clip, Migo's clip, to lesser know people who made views video dances, etc that have gone mega viral?

Have any of you noticed... who are predominantly the AI cosplaying subjects, and who were the originators of the trend now being copied? And how many times are people left asking, "who are the original video creators?"

Overwhelmingly, WT AI generated people of various acclaim are generated to cosplay Black trends in dance, rap, speech, and culture. Very seldom do you have Black AI art cosplaying white originated subject matters. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but it's not as common.

Now, I'm not ringing the "All AI is bad" bell 🔔. I still get a kick out of the George Jefferson, Uncle Phil, James Evans, and Fred Sanford playing street basketball with the AMEN intro song playing! But I'm concerned about the other end of the spectrum of this conversation, and its potential long-term ramifications.

The WT American power apparatus, with its allies, has been copying, stealing Black inventions, achievements, and art forms for generations. And this AI is just a new medium that has the appearance of being benign fun for all. But again... the viral AI cosplaying is often one-sided. It starts with them socially denigrating things about us or things we do from a cultural-standpoint. Not because they always hate it, but because they want us to voluntarily abandon it so THEY can copy it, steal it, and rebrand it for themselves to stock their relatively baren cultural cupboards.

I get some will say, "it ain't that serious, twin!" But I beg to differ. It always begins with a smile. Something innocent. Step 1 has always been appropriation under the guise of "Appreciation" for our cultures. While they quietly seek to subvert it and control it. In the early 1900s a different faction of this power apparatus (I'll call them "they"), infiltrated Black music on the business side, while appearing to be connoisseurs of our music. "They" sought to monetize it and control it all along. And eventually, they did.

And who knows, in years time, people might believe these AI white cosplayers were the ORIGINATORS of these trends and moves and artistic forms. All while phasing out Black original participation. Just as people believe today that Rock-and-Roll, Bluegrass, and Country music were White-created music genres, but those genres origins had Black signatures on them from their inception.

I'm not trying to be an alarmist. However, I hope our third eye is open to this stuff and we are constantly surveying the landscape and READING BETWEEN THE LINES. And that we are not allowing ourselves to be so hopelessly inured by this timeline that we forget to see the forest for the trees...

They are replete with obsession for us, because they always wanted to covertly BE us. And these AI cosplaying videos are just another small example of that obsession.

Everything in America, as it pertains to our existence, has been mired in war-like campaigns for centuries. Be it the "friendly liberal fox 🦊" with hidden agendas that Malcolm X tried to warn us about. Or the conservative wolf 🐺 who makes his sentiments known from jump. But BOTH of them are covertly united in plotting our demise. Wars are not always fought with guns, artillery, nukes, or the stroke of a sword. Today, it's fought with the stroke of a pen ✍. Or do we need more of our history, leaders, and inventions erased, along with programs and laws to fall for us to get the picture?

Make no mistake we are still at "war." Just be aware...
