Today, coming home from work, I ran into a long-time friend. For quite some time, I'd even had a certain attraction to her, as I'd always found her very beautiful and attractive.
While we were talking, the subject of a meeting I had at the supermarket the previous day came up. She asked me about a guy who was with me and who was wearing a Lula shirt. So, I naturally replied that he wasn't just my friend, but my boyfriend.
To my surprise, she didn't believe me. She refused to accept that I was gay, because, apparently, she'd always had the impression that I was heterosexual. During the conversation, she insisted that I didn't act gay and seemed genuinely surprised by my revelation.
At one point, she said she was going to give me a "shock." I was a little confused, not understanding exactly what she meant by that.
What intrigued me most was the context of the situation. She's a very kind, beautiful, and attractive woman, and I had felt a certain attraction to her in the past. That's why I started thinking about the meaning of that phrase and why she seemed so reluctant to believe my sexual orientation.
Now, I'm trying to understand what she really meant when she said she was going to shock me. Was it just a joke, a provocation, or a way to try and surprise me somehow?
