I felt the writers somehow messed up certain characters / storylines

1. Meemaw, as shown in YS was normal & never coddled Sheldon. She was not unnecessarily mean to anyone & Mary was the only person to have ever coddled Sheldon. But in TBBT, the way she treated Amy was bad. Like how moms treat their sons' girlfriends/wives (I used to take care of him, now it's your job). In TBBT, she appreciated Penny for her job & accomplishments but told Amy how she should be taking care of Sheldon like his mom did (lol). Infact on other topics, she kept on picking on Amy unnecessarily.

2. Georgie Cooper in TBBT had a love-hate relationship for Sheldon (they were not even on talking terms with each other) because apparently everyone at home compared him to Sheldon but in YS, that's not the way any of the children were ever treated. He even did so well with the business! And Georgie was a super good elder brother to Sheldon & Missy.

This scene is from S9E9 when they both went Thanksgiving as friends. Sheldon asked Amy questions regarding her dating status while Amy just asked 1 question & that's utterly sweet & emotional!!!

And although Sheldon might have seemed to be annoying/condescending to a vast majority of the audience, the breakup storyline was definitely hard on him. If he were a person irl, would've hugged him! It felt personal !!

I'm currently watching Season 8, and I was wondering if there was ever any behind-the-scenes explanation for Raj's mom disappearing after the divorce. We still see his dad occasionally, but his mom is never mentioned or seen again, even though it's been established several times that Raj is a mama's boy. So, was there ever an explanation related to the actress or a behind-the-scenes reason why she stopped appearing on the show?
