So my brother has been playing Persona 3 Reload as his first Persona game and he's been really enjoying it.

Last night while he was playing he asked me:

- Hey how do you fuse Odin?

I answered:

- I don't know check an online fusion guide.

- How do you do fusion? He answered.

Imagine my bewilderment when i found the man has somehow made to October without haven fuse a single Persona since the tutorial.

Apparently the dude has been using the DLC Persona along with the ones he gets from Shuffle time.

Now i won't rag on the man because this is his first time playing an Atlus game with fusion mechanics ( His first game was Metaphor) and when i first played these games i didn't even truly understand fusion until i moved on over to SMT 3 last year, besides P3R is also stupid easy and DLC Personas are way too good to not use.

Anyways after that i fused some Personas for him but i don't think he's too willing to fuse on his own because admitedly it's pretty complicated, so is there someone who could explain in an easy to understand format.

I'm fine with him playing how he likes but i also want him to engage with the mechanics.

Sell me on each.

DON'T BUY THIS CRAP, IT'S ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS! You're better off playing Reverse: 1999 (I don't even play it, but it’s still way better). All Atlus games are TOTAL SHIT, I swear. DO NOT recommend, especially to anyone who loves shooters or action games!

Random thought, but I almost never see Jun Hirose’s name come up among Megaten fans. He voices the protagonist in Strange Journey Redux.

Redux has no English dub, just Japanese audio, so everyone who’s played it has heard his voice as the protagonist. (In Japan the game is Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, and it’s listed in the credits on his Wikipedia page.)

The rest of the cast is stacked too. Takahiro Sakurai plays Jimenez. With names like that around, it’s a bit of a shame the protagonist’s actor barely gets mentioned. Not a knock on the other actors, obviously.

Side note: Hirose does more than voice acting. He writes a monthly horoscope column for B’s-LOG.com, a Japanese site aimed at otome game fans, drawing on his tarot and numerology skills. The bio at the end of each article lists the Redux protagonist among his roles.

So the game’s title shows up every month, and he posts about the column on X too. But from what I’ve seen, otome game fans don’t seem to go “wait, this fortune-teller guy voiced the SMT protagonist?!” The connection just never gets made.

Playing the protagonist doesn’t automatically make you famous, I know. Still, as someone who’s heard that voice in the game, I think he deserves at least a head nod from Megaten fans.

Curious what everyone thought of his performance as the protagonist.

One of my favorite atlus games to this day! I love both the xbox360 version and full body (i will NOT tolerate full body slander!!)

The Katherine figure is pretty rare and resells for ALOT i got both brand new sealed for a crazy deal on jdirect, super happy with these figures overall (although Katherines glasses are a lil bit crooked but im too scared to try and move them lol)
