A few people also asked about ālow-effortā posts ā just to clarify:

Introduction
Astral Projection, or an Out-of-Body Experience, or Near Death Experience, is the process of detaching consciousness from the body and travelling into non-physical reality; this reality is commonly called the Astral Plane. This is NOT the same as lucid dreaming; however, they are intimately connected; keep reading for various explanations of the difference. By using certain techniques and shifting one's awareness in specific ways, one can experience leaving the body, standing next to your bed and looking down at your physical body. From here, you're able to fly amongst the clouds, visit a different country, discover space, speak with other astral projectors or learn lessons from masters and guides who live in the Astral. You can discover yourself and the journey of your soul and learn new and objective information such as the history of our planet or possible future events. All of this is possible because the Astral Plane is commonly described as the 5th dimension of nature, which if you understand that in terms of raw science, you'll understand that it is beyond time and space. This sounds far-fetched at first, but in practice, it is perfectly understandable and it's a perfectly natural state and an innate ability that anyone can do.
Contrary to widespread knowledge, there are already numerous studies and tests to prove or at least suggest that OBEs is scientifically verifiable phenomena. Look up Graham Nicholls, who has had thousands of experiences, verified them with witnesses and is also being tested on; he is 100% objective and scientific in his approach, we hosted a Q&A event with him in our Discord which you can view here. Additionally, quantum physics is on the verge of understanding the multidimensional truth about the universe. Astral Projection is not paranormal and is not pseudoscience, it is absolutely natural phenomena. May we remind you that lucid dreaming was not considered 'real' up until around 40 years ago when enough scientific studies and media were surrounding it to finally be accepted into collective knowledge.
Furthermore, this topic seems to have certain stereotypes attached to it, such as the type of people interested in it - in our experience, you will find only that the most developed, intelligent and sincere people are those who are highly experienced. Those who are arrogant, egoic and uneducated are usually the ones who can be more delusional and inexperienced. Regardless, no matter who you are, even if you are sceptical or religious, anyone, from any walk of life, from almost any belief system, can achieve Astral Project. Thus your life, and your perception of life, will never be the same again - Astral Projection goes beyond belief, beyond anything one can imagine it to be like; it is one of the most authentic experiences that you'll ever have. It is not an escape from reality, but a unifying experience of a deeper, truer and intrinsic reality. It is not a dream, fantasy, visualiation or imagination. It is a full-on out-of-body experience in the true sense of the word; when it happens, you will know. This is Gnosis; knowledge based on direct experience, rather than belief.
A good introductory lecture on Astral projection can be found here.
The Golden Rule
If you want to learn how to Astral Project, you need to put in the work. You need to study the subject, read, watch the videos, get inspired, meditate and practice. Some are more natural at this than others, but regardless, anyone can do it; you need only to make an effort to master it like with anything in life. Practice makes perfect. It's the same as learning martial arts; you have to get up, go to the dojo, get to know the techniques, how it feels, and align them with your body and mind until mastered.

A Message To Everyone Who Is New
This link contains information about common misconceptions about Astral Projection, please read it:
Remember, Astral Projection is the process where one detaches consciousness from the body. By using certain techniques one can achieve the sensation where you leave your body, stand next to your bed and look down on your physical body. You take control of your energetic body (this has many names) and you are able to manoeuvre this energetic body wherever you desire. For the sceptics, we know how it sounds. But we promise you that it is very real and if you put your beliefs and speculations to the side for a moment and practice, you will experience it for yourself directly, which is completely different from what you could ever imagine, and will surpass all of your expectations (unlike a dream, which lives off expectation).
As to what Astral Projection exactly is, it is of little practical use to discuss this. You can, but you will see that belief and speculation is all in the mind. Whether it is a spiritual experience or a scientific one, all we know for sure is that it can be experienced. It can be done. Everyone can do this. Draw your own conclusion AFTER you Astral Project. Until then, you are just either accepting or disregarding the ideas of other people. An idea can be a tricky thing. It spread fast and if the idea comes from someone who never projected, and does not know what he or she talked about, then it can be a damaging influence.
As well as all this, please be sure to read our rules. They are in place for the respect, equality and benefit of everyone and in them hold core principles that this community values.
What's the Difference Between Lucid Dreaming & Astral Projection?
In their deepest essence, lucid dreaming and Astral Projection are very different. Just one explanation you can say is that dreams are an inward subjective experience of your own creation of infinite possibilities, but Astral Projection is an outward objective experience of actual planes of existence that have laws and limitations similar to the physical plane. Unlike dreams, it is a real and tangible place where you can interact with others. Sometimes though there are experiences blurred between the Astral and dreams and it can be difficult to tell the difference. And also the opposite of this explanation can be true whereby we can have shared dreams and non-shared Astral projection. Check out this post and the stickied comment there. There's no absolute formula to tell whether it's a dream or the Astral unless you are experienced, which usually comes after years of practice and honest introspection. What's important is that we learn from wherever we find ourselves in the non-physical; dreams can be just as, if not more significant and profound than Astral Projection, in terms of learning about your own personal spiritual progression.
Check out this video for a full explanation
Continue to check out our Wiki for further explanations, you will find so much useful information in the library of this subreddit. For example, here's a great post explaining: "Is Astral Projection Real or Not?"
Is Astral Projection Dangerous?
Where is the man that keeps telling everyone he never returned from the Astral Plane? How can he spread this message if he never returned? Among all the experienced Astral Projectors who have done it thousands of times, no one ever got stuck, got hurt, got possessed, got 'memory wiped', got reincarnated etc. This is all nonsense, ridiculous fantasies of the mind which derive from fear and fear-mongering.
Remember this well: Fear is a product of ignorance. People who don't have knowledge will fear that what they don't know. If someone shouts "DEMONS~POSSESSION~EVIL", it is very likely that they have no idea what they are talking about. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Every experienced Astral Projector will tell you this. You cannot get hurt. You can fly straight into the sun and get out on the other end without a scratch. Actually, if you read deeply enough, you will find many Astral Projectors have come to the understanding that we all leave the body every night unconsciously anyway.
Can Anything Possess You While You're Out of Body?
You'll find a lot of misinformation and fear-mongering about this and it's mostly nonsense. Astral Projection is absolutely safe and natural. Read these 2 arguments from an Astral Projector's point of view:
1. The Astral body is connected to the physical body in a similar way that a radio is connected to frequencies. You can't have one without the other. PROJECTING implies one location to another, so two locations, not just one. You can be on the other side of the galaxy but still connected to your body. You can also look into the 'silver cord' about this.
2. The fact that we all Astral project every night unconsciously anyway implies that it is most likely safe since you don't really see anyone becoming possessed. In a sense, it's actually safer to practice Astral projection than it is not to, because at least then you'd be conscious of what you're doing and being influenced by at night. Of course, you can't really know whether we Astral project unconsciously every night until you become experienced yourself, but many authors will agree on this.
What is the Astral Plane Like?
Imagine the Astral plane as a place that has different layers, it is multidimensional. It is possible to travel between these layers. Imagine a very high skyscraper; every floor has its own characteristics, its own inhabitants, its own surroundings... its own vibration, frequency and energy.
The first floor is a place of lower vibrations, close to the Earth. It's likely that when you Astral project for the first time this is where your first experience will be. The Astral Plane is a place you share with other humans who Astral project, but also with a lot of regular people that inhabit these planes as their primary home in the afterlife.
When we say low vibrations we mean a low form of consciousness. Not low as in stupid or lesser, low as in dark, restraining, limited. Fear for example is the product of a low vibration, and love is a product of a high vibration.
Check out this diagram and read the stickied comment there.
More on Fear
Fear is nothing but fear itself. It is not a danger to you, it is not a brick in the face. It is simply a feeling that you can completely control and choose whether to feel or not. When it appears, just breathe and accept it. What you accept, you go beyond. Never let fear influence you. It is an undesired state that controls you; instead, control it. There is nothing to be scared of. You can encounter a scary experience, so what? Alright, that was scary, but that's it; an experience. You will get used to it and get over it, and new and more enlightening experiences will follow.
Now to speak more spiritually (sceptics keep your pants on); there are many types of inhabitants or forces in the Astral that can assist you in coming out of body. They have been commonly called guides, masters, angels, spirits etc. Regardless of their labels, they are authentic beings that want you to help you. Your compass to attract them is a sincere and open heart. They have much to share about life, the universe, existence and so forth. These beings are of a highly positive nature, ask them for help and they will. They have your best interest in mind and will teach you many things you want to know. Remember, the Astral Plane is the 5th dimension, distance between objects do not exist, a simple thought or feeling can attract a 'helper' who will come in no time. With this said, many will be sceptical of whether such a thing is possible; that's fine. There is no need to believe in such things. However over time and experience you may start to understand how it is actually possible. It's all about keeping an open mind.
An IMPORTANT Message to Everyone Who is Experienced!
We live in a time where Astral Projection is finally reaching the masses, slowly but surely! We can be part of the initiation of so many new people. The only thing it requires is patience and wisdom.
This sub is not like other subs on Reddit. It is not about being an overly active sub. It is not about posts that receive a lot of upvotes. Its function is not to entertain, it is to teach, with an occasional laugh.
We truly see this sub as a library. We collect as much information as possible and make it available to everyone who walks in. It is a library of development, and in the hallways of the library, people are talking about all kinds of subjects. Sometimes related, sometimes a little less related to what the library offers. Who cares. It's not about the conversations in the hallway, it is about the collection of wisdom that the library offers. It is about the people who walk in and have no idea what is going on. It is about teaching as many people as possible what this all is, how to experience it, and collectively, as a species, discover this next aspect of life.
It can be very frustrating. We know. The number of new people who come into the library shouting and screaming all sorts of things grows by the day in this world of controversy and illusion. The flow of new people entering will never stop - that is a fundamental fact that makes this sub what it is. There are a lot of online forums that have only a few experienced Astral Projectors, but this is the most popular virtual space there is with many wise and experienced members, and this, therefore, implies important work and provides purpose for those who are experienced; to help other souls realise their potential is one of the most beautiful gifts you can give to others.
You can do 2 things:
- You are annoyed with the new people who visit our library and you decide it is too loud and you leave.
- You see a group of new people walking in the library and sit down, smile, listen to the ridiculous things they have to say from time to time, and even enjoy it sometimes, and say, "Alright, now sit down and let me show you how it actually works."
Everybody has to start somewhere. It is the internet, reflective of our dear human race's collective chaos. Every single kind of person on the planet is represented here. Take that into consideration. Be patient. Try not to be so uptight with gatekeeping. Everyone is welcome here to learn and discuss. Try to see the bigger picture. How long this sub can exist depends on how many people it can help and benefit and how we help each other as human beings.
There is not much more than we can do than present all the information in an easily accessible way as we do already. People will always be lazy and ask the same question as we all know. Answering can be boring, repetitive and annoying sometimes. However, we will never stop. We believe in spreading this knowledge to everyone and we hope you do as well.
If you have the knowledge and you know how to Astral Project then now is not the time to hold onto that knowledge privately. Now is the time to HELP. Humanity is in a state that NEEDS help. So many people are on the verge of awakening. If you know EXACTLY how to project, then you know EXACTLY what a beginner needs to know. The core reason why this subreddit has thrived for so long is that there are special souls here who have been helping others. Share what you know, teach, give guidance, share your wisdom. Only good can come of this. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Those of you who are already helping, you are noticed, and you are truly appreciated š
A couple of Buddhist quotes summarises the philosophy of this subreddit well:
"Our visit to this planet is short, so we should use our time meaningfully. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them."
"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle. Happiness, knowledge and wisdom never decreases by being shared."

General AP Info / Discussion Amazing Healing
An Amazing Story of Healing
For as long as I can remember, whether in dreams or in OBEs, I have been told that I have to empty the trash ā basically, take out the garbage.
It took me a very long time to understand what they meant. I didnāt even know how to take out the garbage, because how do you take out garbage, right?
A year and a half ago, I went through a traumatic breakup, and I was so broken that I had no other choice but to lie down and meditate. I had reached the middle of my life, and I was completely heartbroken that every relationship and everything I felt I had tried so hard to achieve had just failed. I couldnāt understand why, and the self-blame was huge.
Honestly, I didnāt know how to fix myself, if there was such a thing, or how to even begin.
So, after the breakup, I basically just broke down and started meditating, studying, and attempting out-of-body experiences. I did have a few, but my body was in such pain due to years of illness and a car accident I had been in 25 years earlier.
By now, I was basically begging for help. Or you could say I was begging the other side for help.
And what showed up was a book called No Bad Parts about IFS therapy.
There was nobody in the area who could help me with this form of therapy, so I learned it myself. I started applying it in my meditations.
I soon found out that I could use it for emotional pain as well as physical pain. When I used IFS and accidentally fell asleep during a session, I would always end up dreaming of past lives that contained the sort of pain, trauma, injury, or whatever was bleeding through to my current body.
Alternatively, I would dream of the current past in a way that pinpointed exactly what the issue was.
After every session, I started the tedious work of releasing this trauma, breathing through it, talking to it, and it never seemed to end.
I also understood that every relationship and every situation I encountered out in the world was there to teach me something. Every time I got triggered, I eventually came to understand that this was not punishment. This was something trying to tell me something.
So eventually, I got pretty good at this, but it was very hard.
On top of this, I was accompanied by many very clear dreams that felt like out-of-body experiences, but with a reduced level of awareness compared to what you have when youāre astral projecting.
They would always contain information about what was coming, what I had to do, and where I had to look.
In the sequence Iām going to tell you about now, I first had a dream where I was told that I was going to get a new jacket. I was taken backstage this world and told that I was going to get a new jacket.
To be honest, I had no idea how that was going to work out when I woke up. So I continued the shadow work.
At one point, I met a person I fell in love with, and I was more occupied with being in love than with taking care of whatever I needed to do internally.
So I had a dream telling me, āPlease come sort this out.ā
And again, Iām like, what more can I sort out? The only thing I know how to do is IFS therapy and shadow work. So Iām basically going to go back to that.
The pain in my body from the car accident was increasing, and I started getting really agonized. My hands and feet were swollen and burning, and I was at my witās end.
By now, I had spent at least a year and a half doing IFS therapy and shadow work, and I was basically losing hope.
Last night, I lay down in my bed and completely surrendered. I said, āYou know what? Itās okay. Whatever is going to happen will happen in its own good time, or timing.ā
And I fell asleep.
But before this next sequence, I had another dream. As I was waking up, there was a voice saying in my ear, āI will see you soon.ā
In what seemed like another experience somewhere between a lucid dream and an out-of-body experience, I met this priest ā or someone who appeared to me like a priest.
Without any words, he basically ripped out a large quantity of tangled hair, black dust, and different items from my lungs and my back. I wouldnāt say it was a handful; it was much more than that. What he pulled out occupied the larger part of my lower lungs and the middle back.
Then there was this man standing at the other end. When the priest finished, the man started singing for me.
And then I woke up.
Today I'm free of pain. My hands and feet don't burn anymore and I can sing again. I've been dancing all day and the deep grief I held in my abdomen is gone. I don't even have back pain anymore.
I am, literally speechless.

Question on How to AP Astral project story
11 years ago, back in 2015, I was actively practising astral projection. I practised for a month, and literally nothing was happening. I actually found a video of this really old guy. The video isnāt there anymore, but he taught practices you could do while you were awake, like jumping, feeling your entire apartment, et cetera, et cetera. I watched it and practised every day, religiously, but nothing was happening.
So one day, I decided, you know what? Iām gonna give up. And I did. I gave up and didnāt think about it anymore. I went to bed, and thatās when it happened, randomly. I wasnāt even trying to do it. I remember being really drowsy, falling asleep but not quite asleep, when I felt a really strong vibration and just popped out. But I didnāt have full control over my body. I just remember the transparency and feeling as light as a feather. I also remember having 20/20 vision, but I wasnāt moving around freely. I couldnāt go wherever I wanted. I was still kind of limited in what I could do.
I remember looking back, especially when I was above my body, and seeing my body. It was just a body, nothing else. No labels, no nothing. Just a body, a vehicle for me to use in this dimension. And I actually got really emotional, if Iām being honest. Anyway, then I looked up again, and in front of me, there was a TV on the wall, right in front of my bed. I saw two orbs, like multidimensional orbs, glowing pink and blue. They were simultaneously changing shapes. It was like a thousand shapes, and I couldnāt just tell you one shape because it felt like every shape ever. Then, to my left, I didnāt turn around fully, but it was like I could see out of the corner of my eye. I saw a three-year-old version of me wearing a lime green jumpsuit, or maybe a mint one, which was something I had as a kid. She was running around in circles, giggling and laughing, and I felt so good. I was like, is that me, or is that my future child or something? I donāt know. I just didnāt have much judgment about it at the time. After that I kind of rotated again because I was trying to move around, but I was really wobbly and couldnāt seem to have much control. It was like being really drunk but also sharp as hell. I really canāt explain the feeling.
Anyway, thatās all I remember, and Iāve been thinking about it a lot recently because Iām really sick of my current life and the things Iām going through. Itās been really, really difficult for me, so Iāve been thinking that I really want to be in another realm. I think Iād be happier there, but without doing anything harmful. I think astral projection might be a safer way to explore different realms.
If you have any tips or advice on how to do it successfully, especially if someone is fearful of it now, that would be great!

General AP Info / Discussion Blue Chinese Dragon
Greetings.
I have had an encounter with a very large Blue Dragon, of the Asian variety. It kind of ate me, but I really didn't mind at the time. I've encountered some other threshold guardians that would test me like this, but they've all been very large cats thus far (lions, leopards and so on).
Would like to know if anyone else has encountered it, or had some insight as to its nature.
Thank you.

General Question What's the one tiny detail from a projection that convinced you it wasn't just a dream?
Not the big flying moments. The small, boring detail that had no reason to be there. A sound in the next room, a crack in a wall you later found was real, the wrong colour on something you know well. For a lot of people it's the unremarkable detail that does the convincing. What was yours?

Was This AP? Is it possible to have an OBE in a dream and be in that state?
I had a strange experience this morning while trying to fall back asleep, and was curious if this constitutes a real AP, or some sort of dream related state.
I woke up at 8 am, trying to go back to bed. I entered a dream-like state where I was in my bedroom, in the exact physical place my body was resting. The main difference was the room was dark, meanwhile it was light outside.
I started feeling some slight mild vibrations, electrostatic shocks (I have AP'd before so I am familiar), but did not think much of it. I became aware that I was in an altered state.
I never had a 'separation' but suddenly I noticed I began exploring my house. I dont remember getting out of my bed in that dream, just suddenly I was walking.
I was walking around, trying to turn on the light switches, and they did not turn any lights on. I also tried to walk through a wall to see if it would work, and it did not work.
Eventually and curiously since I was aware I was in this state, I returned to my bedroom to see if I can find my physical body. I literally lifted up the sheets on my bed, and saw my physical body resting as normal and in the position I normally sleep.
I quickly panicked, and then I 'woke' up, but was back in the original 'dream' where I was just laying in my bed. This I believe is a false awakening.
Eventually I just woke up for real.
Is this considered an out of body, or some combination of dreams? Can you astral project while dreaming?

AP / OBE Guide I think I hit the void state and cannot/do not know to go beyond that. Help me out!!
I've been trying to AP for quite a while and haven't been able to project. Here is my latest, one of the most successful attempts.
I laid on my back and relaxed my body as much as I can and started to focus on behind my eye lids. First there were nothing and after some time it started to show some static and I focused on them.
I felt my body getting more relaxed with jaw dropping, neck muscles relaxing, forehead muscles relaxing and such. Every time I see such a sign of relaxing I take 3 deep breaths to keep myself from clicking out.Ā
After sometime of focusing on static, the blackness behind my eyes became more darker and becomes pitch black. Also I kind of felt like my limbs are squeezing for a little time as well. Could not go beyond that.Ā Also is this the void state people here are talking about?
I asked Gemini about this saying the same thing and it said this.
You hit a common plateau: Passive Observational Trap.
When the blackness became deeper and your limbs felt squeezed, you stayed in "watching mode," expecting the state to deepen on its own or wait for something else to happen. In the Direct Method, the state will not progress beyond the deep blackness passively. Once physical sensory input cuts out, your brain simply holds that baseline until you either fall asleep or give it a strong kinesthetic command.
The exact second that deep 3D blackness opens up or you feel that limb-squeezing sensation, stop looking at the darkness. That visual transition is your cue that the motor blockade is active. Immediately execute your kinesthetic trigger.
Is this legit?
Help me out please!
Thank you for your time!!

Was This AP? Odd memory
This memory has never left me. I was about 4 or 5 years old when I experienced something I still canāt explain.
I remember suddenly being up near the ceiling, looking down at my own body. I was sleeping next to my mom, and I could see both of us lying there.
When I looked up, I saw what looked like a portal in the ceiling. It was almost as if the portal had opened, dropped me into the room, and then closed behind me. I remember slowly floating downward toward my body until I eventually entered it. As soon as I did, I felt this strange tingling sensation throughout my body.
I immediately woke up, looked at the ceiling, and thought, How did I just do that?
Iām 34 now, so this happened almost 30 years ago, yet I remember it so vividly, as if it happened yesterday.
And I know people might say it was just a dream, but I know what I experienced. To this day, Iāve never forgotten a single moment of it.

General Question IWTL how to exit this 'dream.'
I know that there's nothing and no one 'real' here at all, it's all fake. and I'm mainly sick of the ghost stories, I don't enjoy this video game world as I used to do, there's nothing that I enjoy interacting with, and I guess acting and pretending can be fun at times, but Idk how much is too much.
I've gotten close to the 'exit' at times, but as soon as I got closer it reminded me that I'm not ready for it at all, I know that this journey is an infinite one, and I guess there's trillions of years to experience still, but I hate not having a way out of this illusion.

Almost AP'd and/or Question I heard a buzzing sound
I read about astral projection as a young teen and it stuck with me, read all the steps because I was a really curious kid. I still am. I've tried a couple of times and it didn't work. The last time I tried this was yesterday morning, I was awake in the early hours of the morning and I started feeling sleepy, but I also didn't want to sleep yet. After being stubborn for a while I decided to give in. Closed my eyes and then I slept off, but my mind was very much aware that I was sleeping. I was like why waste a perfect opportunity and tried to astral project. I don't know if it worked. But I heard some awful ringing buzzing sound and I panicked and stopped. And I don't know if I was half way there or if I was still in my body but I know I couldn't move and I was struggling to fix whatever happened by going back to whatever state I was in before I started.
Can anyone give me any advice or tell me what went wrong?

Need Tips / Advice / Insights Dear, Astral traveller's,what happens after we die?
Hello everyone, I didn't projected yet, but I think a lot about many spiritual questions.I had a look on gnostic believes, and other believes but I am don't know anything, but since I looked at astral projection, I have hope, please tell me, are we going in the astral realm when we die? Or are we instantly reincarnate and dont have a memory what had happen?or we go back home? Or we meet god?
I work on me that I can hopefully project one day. But I am not on the point where I can find answers, or even the truth, please give me some advice, I would be happy, and thank you for reading.

Need Tips / Advice / Insights I can't astral project or lucid dream anymore.
So for context me and my bestfriend we're very very close since we were 6. His mom used to do those like twin tests on us and we always answered the same. So fast forward we started to train through meditation from about 2014-2016 on how to astral project. With discussions and stuff we learned we could both lucid dream. Like it came naturally since I was young. I can't exactly remember when he said he figured out he could. We accomplished astral projection but its like if we went to far some scary shit would happen and force us back to the threshold I guess you'd say? We ventured out some more but very scary things happened and we quit for a while. It was kinda like insidious but before the movies were even out. For context when we projected we somehow could connect and end up in the same space. Well he died in 2021. We were always skeptical on god but always believed in a creator. We said if one of us died to meet the other in that space to try and talk. I found him after multiple attempts but idk if it was really him. I say that because when I found him screamed at me to run snd stay away. Is this my mental trying to scare me away? I can go into more detail but this was already a lot. Thanks for any words , tips, etc

OBE Confirmation My first out-of-body experience as a non-spiritual person.
I have seen many posts and accounts from people who have experienced astral projection, but they usually come from individuals with a great deal of experience in the subject people who often gloss over the actual process of the soul separating from the body. For this reason, I would like to share the details of my own experience, while emphasizing that I have never been a spiritual person, I do not follow any religion, and I was previously unaware that such a thing even existed though I am currently looking into the topic.
On the afternoon of August 26, 2026, after putting it off for a long time, I decided to go outside and draw from life. It was something I'd wanted to do, but I was always too embarrassed. Since I was in my hometown, I went out into the countryside to draw alone. I found a shady rock where I could sit, and since I only had a mechanical pencil and an eraser, I decided to draw an almond tree. While I was focused on my drawing, I was also aware of my surroundings. There was a group of birds playing amongst themselves in the trees, until suddenly they fell silent and became startled. When I looked up, I saw a peregrine falcon fly overhead. I could see the feathers on its chest and its little legs in detail, it was thrilling for me.
At dusk, I decided to head home; I had dinner with my family and spent some time talking with them that evening. Around 1:00 a.m., I went to sleep. As I drifted off, I first had a dream (the typical, nonsensical kind where nothing remarkable happens) and then, I "woke up" into another dream. In this second dream, I was in my bedroom, lying in bed in the exact same position I was actually in at that moment (on my side, facing to the right). The atmosphere was warm and cozy. In front of me stood a white esparto-grass chair (a real piece of furniture from my room) with a mirror resting on it. Through the mirror, I could see the room around me: I saw myself lying there, facing the mirror, and I also saw my aunt asleep on a mattress on the floor. In the background, my mother was standing and folding sheets, and on the chair, next to the mirror, lay my mobile phone, showing two messages from friends of mine.
I felt very calm and at peace, I was quite comfortable, so I closed my eyes to drift back to sleep. However, I woke up in real life and began to feel a vibration in my head that grew increasingly intense. At the same time, I noticed my body gently rising (I should mention that I was lying on my side, facing to the right). I felt my body lose contact with the mattress and the pillow, and I could feel the bedsheet tightening as I ascended. Behind my back, there was a sense of significant movement in the room, it felt like wind, though it lacked the chill one typically feels from a breeze outdoors. I also heard what sounded like several small bells being shaken vigorously behind me. My body rose to a height of about one meter. At first, I was frightened, thinking it might be sleep paralysis, but I soon realized it wasn't; instead, I felt a surge of excitement at the fact that I was floating. Eventually, in my excitement, I managed to descend gently until I returned to my body. I got out of bed, it wasn't a dream, as I was already fully awake and sat there for a few minutes, trying to process what had just happened. At that moment, I kept thinking of my body as a very fragile shell. Yet, despite how strange the situation was, it didn't feel entirely unsettling, it was as if I had done this many times before; it was something I already knew. Itās very hard to describeāapologies for not being able to explain it better. Since then, Iāve made several attempts at astral projection, though none have gone as far as that first experience. Iāve also begun meditating using the *Gateway Experience* audio tracks, and during these sessions, Iāve been able to visualize images in my mind with great clarity.
I would like to analyze the dream I had that day and try to understand why it happened to me, because ever since then, I have been unable to simply turn my head, walk on by, and carry on with my life. I cannot stop thinking about that day, searching for some kind of answer. (Sorry for my English, Iām from Spain).

Almost AP'd and/or Question Hit the vibrational stage and buzzing, but got completely stuck trying to exit (Rope / Rollout failed). Need advice from experienced projectors!
Hey everyone, looking for some insights or tips from people who have gotten past this barrier.
Earlier today I woke up in the middle of the night, got up to use the bathroom, and went back to sleep (unintentional WBTB). After having a regular dream, my mind suddenly snapped wide awake and completely alert, but my body stayed frozen in that state where you just don't feel like moving at all.
Almost immediately, the classic vibrational stage kicked in. If you saw my post from a few days ago about that high-pitched tinnitus / ringing sound, it was back full forceāit felt like it was everywhere around me and inside my head while this was happening.
Realizing what was going on, I tried to induce the exit:
* Tried the rope technique repeatedly.
* Switched to trying to simply lift/roll my subtle body out.
Nothing happened. I didn't separate. Instead, the physical strain seemed to bleed overāafter trying so hard, my breathing became really heavy and vigorous, and my physical body started feeling hot and flushed, almost like I had just gone for a run. Eventually, the state just faded.
For those who have been through this stage:
* How do you overcome the "stuck" feeling? Did I push too hard with active effort instead of letting it happen?
* Breathing/Heart rate spike: How do you keep your physical autonomic response (heavy breathing, heat) from pulling you out when attempting exit techniques?
* What subtle tricks or alternative separation cues worked best for you when the rope or lifting methods stall out?
Any advice would be massively appreciated!

Need Tips / Advice / Insights Tips for light sleepers/ fast awakeners
Hi all, hoping for some help please. Iāve learnt about Astral projection/ Reality Shifting for about a year and a half now. Without a full separation so far.
I do appreciate Astral Projection and Reality Shifting are different, I am only mentioning it because I want to AP so I can shift.
I am trying to follow the Michael Raduga method of sleeping for 5-6 hours then waking up for 20 mins. The trouble is, Iām either a super heavy sleeper and miss my alarm or I am a super light sleeper and the minute it goes off Iām wide awake. A bit of insomnia tbh.
I am just wondering what people do to mitigate this? I have tried adjusting the timings so instead of 6hrs, I do it at 3/4/5 hours. And also I tried a cheap smartwatch too to vibrate when the alarm goes off on my wrist. I just havenāt been so successful.
I am just wondering, if anyone has any helpful tips that has helped them, to help me.
I donāt go to the bathroom/ drink water when I wake up, just because then I am too awake. When I do wake up at the alarm mark, I am like āwide awakeā so I have been trying to basically not lift my head up to turn the alarm off so I can try and sleep⦠and I end up just falling asleep. Basically my margin window is incredibly short.
Any tips? Thank you š āØ

General AP Info / Discussion Thought on this sleep paralysis demon thing attacking me?
Itās been about 9 years since this happened and Iāll never forget any details of it, itās always been engrained so vividly in my head. This is the first and only sleep paralysis experience Iāve ever had in my life (32m).
9 years ago I was in my first year of uni in the UK. I was staying in a dorm/halls (in the US itās dorms in the UK they call it halls) and I was partying quite a bit at the time as you would in your first year of uni. I had a small room to myself with a desk like a meter from my bed and a small en suite bathroom.
Anyways so I start dreaming and I was in some pool complex kinda thing walking around and there was this guy playing pool/billiards, and he say me and I could tell he just didnāt like me, like he gave me a menacing look. And as I was walking around he would be following me like not too close by but following me nonetheless. Couldnāt see his face too well but was like a shadowy black figure.
Next thing I know Iām in my bed in my room and everything is as is, the chair to my desk is pulled out a little with a sock on it, random stuff on the floor like a jacket and my pants, all furniture is literally exactly as is in real life it was literally my room as it was at the time. And the guy is ontop of me screaming at my face super angry, like not saying any words but just doing angry yells and smacking me and I literally canāt move (I am a Muay Thai fighter idk if that influenced anything). And after smacking me a few times and yelling he pulls out a deodorant spray and a lighter and starts spraying fire at my face flamethrower like and at this point I get the feeling āIām going to freaking die, screw that Iām not gonna let him kill meā and I literally used every fibre of my living power to bust out of that paralysis and reach for his neck with my left hand and my right arm is cocked ready to throw a punch at this dudes face.
Then bam, he just disappears, and Iām in my bed sitting upright with my left hand reaching infront of me (where his neck was supposedly) and my right arm still cocked ready to throw a punch, room is exactly as is.
Never had a sleep paralysis experience after that or saw him again. I like to joke that he visited me once and saw that Iād break out and smack him back and decided āscrew this Iām not messing with this dude againā haha
Also I sometimes throw punches and kicks in my sleep, like with good technique Iāll rotate my hips while throwing a Muay Thai kick in my sleep and wake up confused lmao

Almost AP'd and/or Question Getting even closer
last night I did an attempt and I figure that if I separate my astral arms first that itās easier, so I did that last night and about what felt like 20mins later I felt like I was ejected from my body before being quickly reeled back in. It felt weird but it was still super cool.

General Question Astral projecting to data centers?
I saw a post in a group Iām in and this person claims they projected to a data center and there were grays there controlling the ai. They said one of the grays spotted them and they were scared back into their body. Iām just curious if anyone else had seen anything similar? Anyone willing to check out a data center and report back your findings? š

Question on How to AP Need help guides will be more helpful
So hello everyone.
So i wanted to do AP but idk how to do it and i don't even know the steps to achive AP and i did actually read some tutorials about how to achive AP but that tutorials never worked on me. And i wanted to ask another question, some people say they felt they're soul left they're body and there was a rope attached to they're soul and the body. And they did explore freely and even visited places they never visited in person. And most importantly they explored spaces and they saw some entities idk about entities tho. So my final question is What's the setup and tutorial to achive AP.

New to AP First experience Astral Projecting
Hey, niche subreddit!
I've recently been curious about Astral Projection, I had always been aware of it but I came here to ask some questions.
Regarding the sensory side of APing, what does it feel like?
Is it sort of vague and blurry and up to interpretation, like a lucid dream? Or does it feel "realer than real"
My other question is more simple, what was your first experience like aping? Did you use any methods or did it happen spontaneously

Was This AP? Weird experience!
I'm a newbie.. I get the vibrations and stay in the "body rested and my mind awake" situation for a while and it starts to get pitch black and I see some lights. Then it disappears. And when I turned around to change my position, it happened again, but quicker than the first time. The same pitch black scene followed by lights. But this time I heard a husky voice Screaming. I was so scared and my heart was beating so fast. I couldn't open my eyes nor move even an inch of my body. Then I don't remember what happened in between..then I saw myself sitting in my classroom on the same desk I sit. I wore my school uniform and everything was literally the same outfit of how I go to school. But my face and body were replaced with a dark shadow figure, sitting completely still.. I panicked and tried to scream but I couldn't. My mom was sleeping next to me and tried to wake her up, I reached my hand to wake her up and I thought I was waking her up but it was like an illusion! Like something else's arm were replaced and the thing's other arm was like grabbing my right arm. And I somehow managed to wake up.
This was my closest experience to AP I assume.. it was so weird that I couldn't stop thinking about it for a couple of days. I tried to be as calm as possible and tried to keep my heart rate at normal but that scream freaked me out and couldn't focus on keeping myself calm..
