Changes with Interaction on the Sub

Hello everyone!

The mod team has become aware of bots posting and commenting on this sub at an increasing rate. We have decided that from now on, accounts with less than 100 karma will no longer be allowed to comment or post on this subreddit. I know this can be frustrating for new users who are not bots, but this is the best way to ensure that bots are not overrunning the sub.

Men’s Input Only Initiating morning intimacy? NSFW

My husband likes to sleep in but I keep wanting to wake up and get busy… I’ve said this and he doesn’t really give a clear response on if he’d be ok with this.

Would you be annoyed or unable to really perform if you were in the middle of sleeping and got woken up?

✅ Open To Everyone How to build platonic friendships with straight men as a woman?

I really feel like I should be able to have straight male friends. But I have never had one that didn’t end up with a weird flirtatious dynamic or me feeling like he was into me. That’s not a large sample size though, but it’s true. In one case I knew for sure he was into me because he hit on me and another other threw out some indirect flirty comments that my husband is sure sounds like flirting. (There was a mutual attraction in both situations but in the later, I was fine being disciplined because I’m in a relationship.) He also progressively stopped talking to me after coming to my wedding and breaking up with his gf. So that one is gone too now and we had great conversations. He literally lives around the corner from me.

I’m not a model either, I’m a plus size girl with a nerdy, intellectual and bubbly vibe. People do tend to think I’m pretty, but I would think the fat part would make this at least somewhat doable 😂

So far, I just have casual associates in groups where I do volunteer/political organizing work. But I don’t really have any straight dudes I am friends with. I also think I could be a great wing woman!

I think the obvious way is to be friends with guys who don’t show any sign of attraction to me at all. But I think those guys might avoid being closer friends because they don’t want me to like them lolol

It’s just a thing I’ve felt is odd. Like as an adult, I should be able to have friends who are straight men. My husband doesn’t really have women friends right now, but he has had them before in his life. I literally never have, outside of casual associates I see in groups.

✅ Open To Everyone Is this older woman into dating me ?

• Upvotes

Sorry for the flair, I don't know if it fits.

Well, I am man 26 yrs old and I was working this summer with a woman in her early 60s, she was sth like my supervisor. We had a very good communication, we share many things, even the place we are coming from is the same. We had some picky conversations here and there, not very serious, sometimes I got her looking down on my p@nis and one time she slapped my behind. The point is we only worked together for 2-3 weeks because I had to leave for an other job. Nevertheless, we have been talking sometimes via social media so we have kept in touch. Now that we both came back, we are planning to go out. Sex is not the first thing that comes in my mind, I am like 50/50, but she said by herself to go out together at night and this is what intrigued me. Is she really into sex or sth ?

I am okay with relationships, I can feel out women's intentions, whenever she wants to date me or not, but this specific situation got me off guard. What are you people thinking ? Thanks in advance

✅ Open To Everyone Turning 35. Unemployed, Burned Out, and Lost. How Do I Rebuild My Life?

I’m 34, unemployed, living with family, and struggling to find a way forward.

I’ve survived homelessness, a rare muscle disease that left me bedridden, abusive relationships, losing my father, and business failures.

I built a 15-year career in copywriting, worked with executives, and generated millions for companies. Yet I’m back at square one.

I’ve lost my ambition, confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for life. I want financial stability, my own home, marriage, and a family, but everything feels increasingly out of reach.

I’m not looking for pity. I’m looking for practical advice from people who’ve rebuilt their lives in their 30s or later.

Where would you start? How do I regain financial independence, rebuild my career, and find purpose again?

I could genuinely use some guidance, resources, or mentorship.

✅ Open To Everyone Had sex for the first time with my girlfriend and I couldn't nut, is there a solution?

So me and my girlfriend are in a medium distance relationship. She's only 54 miles away from me and a 2-3 hour trip by train and coach bus. Honestly since we can't have sex all the time I was masturbating, always with her in mind.

She was at my house yesterday because she had a tour, nobody was home and it happened. At first I thought it was the condom, but we went for about an hour 45 (with breaks) and I started to feel like it wasn't just that. It felt good but during the breaks I lost some hardness I guess and it made it a little difficult until I got back in and everything was back to normal, but we chalked it down to it was our first time and I didn't think much about it because she said she was more than satisfied.

Then I searched about it and many other reddits were saying there was something called death grip and it stemmed from porn stimulation and masturbation, but I never was a porn watcher, so now I'm worried that I somehow damaged my nerve endings by just masturbating as they describe. I also havent done it for a week now so I have no idea what to do.

I still feel like the condom had some play in it because it was a regular one, I'm gonna try to get one of those thin sensitive ones to see if theres a difference. But if anyone has any idea or had a similar experience, PLEASE reach out to me or leave a comment man.

✅ Open To Everyone How to come to terms with getting older?

This will seem like a very weird question regarding how old I am. I saw this video of a man sitting in a garage looking at a spool of copper wire and describing to his wife how it almost symbolized all the time he's been alive.

I had a similar situation with my wife. Where I found an old rite in rain notebook I used in the Army with all the work and dumb shit I wrote in at at 18 - 21. I was feeling kind of emotional about it but she just brushed me off. Here I am now 26 years old fully disabled from the Army and with 3 beautiful kids.

That conversation and realization has been stuck in my head as much as my PTSD from the Army. How do you reconcile men or women that you're getting older?

✅ Open To Everyone Finally got the courage to ask someone and they rejected me on a silly premise?

So I finally overrode my brain and built up the courage to message this girl on Instagram. I’ve had a massive crush on her for what feels like forever, but my social anxiety usually completely paralyzes me from ever reaching out. Every time I thought about typing something, I’d overthink it into oblivion, panic, and close the app. But she was so outrageously attractive, and after following her for a while, I decided to just take a shot before I lost my nerve.

She wasn’t following me back, but to my absolute shock, when I sent that first DM, she actually replied! We went back and forth for maybe 10 or 15 messages. Looking back, I was definitely carrying the weight of the conversation and asking all the questions, but she seemed nice enough and gave pretty friendly replies. Because texting already gives me a ton of anxiety and I didn't want to overthink every single message like a high schooler, I figured the best move was to just break the ice and ask if she wanted to meet up in person. She’s 27 and I’m 29, so it felt like the mature thing to do.

I suggested getting coffee at a really well-known local spot. Nothing high-pressure, just a casual, low-stakes setting where I thought I could actually feel comfortable and manage my nerves.

Her response caught me completely off guard: “I don’t do coffee dates, I’m past that age.” And then, almost immediately after, she completely unfollowed and removed me.

I’m not going to lie, when you already battle with self-doubt and social anxiety, getting shut down and instantly erased like that stings pretty badly. It definitely took a hit to my confidence, which is already tough to maintain when dealing with women who are that drop-dead gorgeous. To be clear, I’m not a bad-looking guy at all, but moments like this instantly make my mind spiral into overanalyzing everything I did wrong.

It’s definitely not a financial issue either. I’m completely fine with, and actually enjoy spending money on high-end dinners, nice cocktail lounges, or unique experiences once I genuinely get to know someone and know there’s a real connection there. But for a first meeting with someone you’ve never met off the internet? Why does it have to be some grand, expensive production right out of the gate?

I’m left sitting here overthinking the whole thing. Was she just completely uninterested and using that as an excuse to shut it down, or have basic coffee dates genuinely become a turn-off for women now?

✅ Open To Everyone I’m not able to get a full erection anymore and I’m scared. What should I do?

For the past few months, I (25M) my ability to have a full erection and I don’t really know why.

The left side of my penis has dramatically less sensation than the left side now. When I get an erection, I am not at full mast with length and way thinner in girth (which is a stark contrast because I’m above average in that department).

It seems to be rooted in pain somewhere near my tailbone & hips on my left side. My groin and left hip are incredibly tight.

I have been able to regain sensation once for a few hours when I was massaging around trying to release tension.

✅ Open To Everyone Is a little immaturity actually cute in a boyfriend, or does it become a problem?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've known this guy for almost 7 years. I never really considered being in a relationship with him because I always thought he was a little childish and immature, almost like a cute, innocent boy rather than someone ready for a serious relationship.

I've always liked him, though, and I've always thought he was good-looking.

Recently, he's started to mature a bit, although I can still see that childlike side of him. But lately, I've been thinking that maybe this sweet, innocent, slightly childish nature is actually something valuable in today's world, and I've found myself becoming more and more interested in him.

He seems to be showing interest in me, too, so things might actually go somewhere between us.

I'm curious about what it's like to date someone like this. For those of you who have been in a relationship with a sweet, well-mannered guy who still has a bit of a childish side to him, what was it like?

Did his childishness ever become an obstacle in the relationship, or was it actually something you grew to love about him? How do you tell the difference between someone who's simply sweet and playful and someone who's genuinely too immature for a relationship?

I'd love to hear your experiences! Even from men!

maybe its a bad sub to post this im unfamiliar with these things

✅ Open To Everyone Recently started dating a guy and become physical, I feel self conscious of my down there area?

I was with my ex for around 2 years and although he went down on me a few times, I kinda got the feeling he didn’t like me there that much.

A year after breaking up with him, I met a guy on a dating app and we’ve been out 5 or 6 times. I really like him and the more I speak to him the more I like him. We‘ve recently started intimacy and I enjoy it with him.

The only thing is I get a little embarrassed about him seeing and feeling there. My labia is quite big, and my ex thought that too. I feel a little shy when he keeps the lights on and looks there. He was gonna go down once but I told him no because I felt self conscious.

Any advice on how to feel more comfortable would be appreciated. I just hope he finds me a little bit pretty there because my ex didn’t

✅ Open To Everyone Should I reach out to this guy?

• Upvotes

Hi,

I just wanted some advice about this situation. Essentially in June, I (25F) matched with this guy (24M) on a dating app. We were talking and things were going really well. We don’t live in the same city and he was stuck doing this intensive training thing, so little flexibility in the moment. We talked for two months. Right when he was about to come visit me, he stopped talking. I was really confused since previously, things felt very mutual and warm. He would tell me that he couldn’t wait to see me and was counting down the days. Well now it’s been about 3 months since I’ve heard from him. Honestly, I’ve had a hard time. I got really attached to him and I’ve been really sad this whole time. I know it’s not great for a someone I’ve never met, but oh well.

Anyway, it’s been haunting me. I think about him constantly. I haven’t reached out either out of fear of bothering him. I was already the one who messaged first on the dating app, so I was always afraid I was forcing him. I still think about him all the time.

Lately I’ve been thinking about just texting him first myself. I don’t know if he ever would write me on his own. I can’t tell - would you be creeped out by a girl you had ghosted reaching out again, like you already thought you got rid of her? Would you be uncomfortable? I’m not sure what to do. I guess I have nothing to lose. Except my dignity. Something prideful in me has stopped me from texting him first. I know this sounds stupid but it’s had me turning in circles. Even if we reconnected, I guess I would feel like I forced him too, since I would have reached out first.

Anyway, sorry for the length. Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you .

Men’s Input Only Married Men - am I being too needy? NSFW

OK ok ok ... so very awkward question and I'm looking for opinions particularly from men who have been married awhile.

I have been married to my hubby for 20+ years. I do adore him. While he has never been the overly affectionate type and I am a firey independant fire sign, we normally get along really well.

So I KNOW at a certain age, work and stress... can compromise shall we say... certain desires and impulses for men. I know he works hard (he is a bit of a workaholic) But here's the thing. My spicy drive for whatever reason has gone into overdrive. I feel like my body is fine, I wear cute things to bed, I wear scents he likes and I leave to no imagination that I want him, in a spicy way. I like to snuggle, and since it is getting colder where we live and he has a heated blanket on his side of the bed, I tend to hover on his side and end up spooning or snuggling up in the middle of the night with or without my awareness, it's just how I am. Sometimes I will plainly ask to cuddle up in bed out of sheer desparation LOL and sometimes he'll oblige.

So my awkward question is, is a wife snuggling up in bed a turn off? Am I being to blatent and THAT is a turnoff? I know his love language is physical touch. If we are away for a weekend or on holiday, spicy sleep is usually not an issue for us. But on a normal day, or even weekends, no matter what I do nothing is reciprocated. No touch or snuggles back, I'm just kind of ... ignored. He's even swatted my hand away. And trust me when I say, I am not overtly trying to grab his junk or anything like that haha. Even in the evenings (4-5 days out of 7) it seems like he would rather work, shower or watch Survivor with his brother (we all live togehter) than hang out with me. It's getting to the point where I feel like our relationship is bipolar and I feel rejected. Is this normal, am I being too clingy? Should I dress like a nun and stick to toys?

✅ Open To Everyone Any shoes recommendation to get my boyfriend for his birthday?

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he has mentioned before how his shoes are getting uncomfortable/worn out, he works long hours on his feet in trades and he is not the type to generally buy himself nice things. He prefers to wear trainers, any recommendations that would be comfortable for him?

Men’s Input Only Do you think my husband prefers the chase?

I’m wondering if my husband is bored with sex with me. We’ve been together 20yrs & our sex life has had its ups and downs but was usually fun and exciting and enjoyable. When we were younger and busier we couldn’t wait to have sex because we were always so busy with the kids and worked different shifts so when we did sneak away we would tear each other’s clothes off.
Now the kids are older and our work lives have changed so we’re together a lot more.
Lately it just feels so routine. I want it all the time. He seems to only wanna have sex once a week & in the same position. He has turned me down quite a bit when I initiate so I’ve stopped initiating & just waiting for him to be ready & approach me. But I’m so frustrated I don’t feel like he wants me like he used to.
I wear sexy underwear and lingerie. I’ve sent him sexy pictures and always take care of myself physically. He compliments me still but just doesn’t seem as excited with me as he used to be.
Do you think it’s because I’m too readily available I’ve become boring to him? Is there anything I can quietly do to increase the excitement?

✅ Open To Everyone How to ask out an Insta mutual?

• Upvotes

There’s a girl I’ve been following on Insta for a few years now. We’ve had a few conversations through story replies, mostly about her interests in advertising and writing, but our last proper exchange was around a year ago, mostly about me praising her work and stuff. We have a lot of mutual friends, same hometown, and both currently work in the same city, but we’ve never met IRL. I’ve liked her for a while and want to shoot my shot without being too direct or making things awkward. How would you approach this?

✅ Open To Everyone What would you do if you were in my position?

• Upvotes

Lately, in my country, including within my own social circle, there’s been a growing movement suggesting that people who are apathetic toward politics and social issues are the kind of people others should distance themselves from.

Personally, I’m actually aware of these issues, but I prefer not to discuss them because whenever there’s a difference of opinion, it often ends in hostility. I’ve even seen some of my friends being excluded or “cancelled” by their social circles simply for having different views. Some people have gone as far as talking badly about them behind their backs and encouraging others to hate them.
Based on what I saw, I feel like I’m stuck in a lose-lose situation.

If I avoid political discussions, I’m labelled as apathetic and people distance themselves from me. But if I engage in these conversations and express a different perspective, I risk being excluded anyway.

So, what would you do if you were in my shoes?

✅ Open To Everyone Socials and committed relationships?

Found that my boyfriend of three years often searches specific women on instagram and sometimes Facebook. All of these women are sexual influencers. I'm not sure if this is micro cheating or something men often do..... Or if this is something worth bringing up to him. He works 2 weeks on 2 weeks off so he's gone a lot. But even when I send him photos he's still doing this. I also don't know where he's finding these names to search. I'm assuming porn but not sure. What do you guys think ?

✅ Open To Everyone Im feeling emotionally off after being intimate for the first time with my Gf?

Im 28 and she is 25. I'm even though I've had a couple of ons I had never before being on a relationship. This is the first time things have progressed to this degree.

We met through hinge and things progressed pretty well, we kissed on the second date, went to a mall on the third and we were close holding hands kissing some more, we watched a movie in a theater close to each other. I felt so excited to be with her and then last saturday something happened.

She went to a concert with her best friend, and it was close to my house so I picked them up and drove them home. After her friend went inside her house we stayed talking and got pretty intimate, not sex yet. But after that day its like something change and we were a lot more intense through each other through text and then last Wednesday we had our first time.

That day everything was perfect. Then on Thursday is when I started feeling off. I don't even know how to describe it. Not exactly sad, not angry, and I wouldn't say I regret anything. Just this strange anxious, conflicted feeling that I can't really explain.

It's Friday now and I still feel it. The weird part is that we were intimate again on Thursday, and I was genuinely excited to be with her. I enjoyed being close to her. So it's not like I suddenly don't find her attractive or don't want to be around her. I feel this more when im alone.

Its like a worry that wont go away or anxiety. Im feeling off emotionally since we had our first time. Its a weird feeling on my stomach.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

✅ Open To Everyone Is there any chance this girl was maybe flirting with me or just being nice?

I (M20) go to this restaurant somewhat often with my family. There’s a hostess that I’ve seen there a few times and I think she’s cute but idk how old she is, if she’s single, or anything about her. I was there a few weeks ago with one of my friends and she apparently remembered that and asked if it was a table for two again but I said no cause I was with my family. I can’t remember exactly but I think she said something like “oh I’m wrong again” or something. She was smiling and I think she was laughing. She seemed super nice but idk if that’s cause of me or just cause she’s working.

I’d wanna try to talk to her but I have no idea how, or if I should. I can’t tell if there’s any chance she’s interested or if she was just being nice. The only thing I was surprised by was her remembering me because the last time I was there was three weeks ago I think.

✅ Open To Everyone Did I screw it up with this guy? Or was he truly never interested?

We started talking last year. Met on at app, he is in another country 2 hours away from mine. We talked everyday and video called, and he was so attentive. We planned on meeting and I traveled to his country (I’ve always wanted to move there, it is my forever dream). So I met the country and him for the first time. But as soon as I went back to my country after a week, he started pulling away and said he couldn’t cope with the distance. He told me I either move in with him now or after I finish my degree, or it’s over. I felt so frustrated because moving there was too risky for me in that moment and he was not willing to offer any other legal support beyond me staying with him. We stopped talking, and after 3 months we reconciled. I met him in his country again. By then he had changed tremendously. Now he was fully indifferent, very overly focused on work, and I felt completely sad. I told him I could get a remote job and travel occasionally to meet him. He agreed but when I asked him if he saw me in his life as long term, he always said “sometimes, because circumstances can change and with the distance everything is uncertain”. When I went back home I wanted to detach, but we kept talking, one time on video call he said “we should take some time apart without talking so we can analyze the situation” but then we stopped talking again. Then we started talking again after 3 months, I travelled to meet him. He was even way more indifferent than the second time. But as soon as I saw him I felt happy, then deep down I thought to myself I maybe idealized him after see in how indifferent he was. We still hanged out, had a good time so on. But when I went back home he never asked if I had arrived well, he never wished me a happy birthday either. At some point I told him: “I cannot deal with this anymore. It hurts my heart that nothing works between you and I. I wish you well, but I cannot keep going in circles with this dynamic. I really like you and this is probably going to be so difficult, but we should cut contact. Either we date seriously or we don’t speak again”. And he replied “I totally understand. It’s just that the distant is so difficult. I’m sorry if I have been so absent. But yeah I guess the distance makes everything unnecessarily tiresome”.

And that was it. We haven’t spoken in 2 weeks. I am genuinely deeply sad. I have to wait 2years with 6 months to get a permit in order to move to that country I love. I guess by then, I’ll be with someone else or single, but I feel deeply sad because I truly saw myself with him. It’s so tough everyday. It’s been a year of suffering. Even now that we don’t speak I’m still sad.

✅ Open To Everyone Depressed after getting ghosted by dream job opportunity. How to proceed?

I had 4 different interviews at this employer.

I even had to present at the final interview. I spent no joke 20-30 hours making the presentation. It went great - hiring manager emailed me soon after and said they were very interested.

He emailed asking about relocation, etc and wanted to extend an offer.

This was my dream job. We live in a very expensive state and this new dream job would've raised my salary by 80% and housing is 40% cheaper in the new state.

Now its time to get personal. Me and my wife really want to have children soon (we are 27). My wife has expressed a few times that she is uncomfortable with daycare when the kids are really young, and wants to not work for a few years after each pregnancy.

Totally fine with me. This job gave it all to us.

We could have afforded to buy a home, have my wife stay at home for a few years, and live comfortably.

Well, its been 7 weeks since those very encouraging emails/waiting to hear back from HR to get it approved and complete silence.

I am heartbroken. Our dream life was actually achievable.

My wife has been really nice about it but I can tell she's disappointed too.

I can't even look at job boards now. I can't believe I spent that much time with these interviews, the presentation, them talking about relocation and when we'd move, etc.

Just profoundly disappointed.

I've sent two follow up emails 4 weeks apart and complete silence

✅ Open To Everyone I confessed to a girl that I have interest to know her, and know I feel bad for myself, why?

So I've been talking to a girl for couple of days, and been interacting with her for 2 months, we talked about different things, some are personal, i felt that she is a nice person to know and see how thing go.

And to be honest this is my first real time, and i live in a conservative community so if she is what iam looking for i need and want to marry her.

Iam 26 years old and live my life trying to avoid even make friendship with girls, bc I believe when the times come ill only talks to the girl ill marry, call me calssic stiff mind person but iam the eldest son of my family, and most of you know how I got raised by how much responsibility we carry, so if the thing leads to a happy marriage Iam in, otherwise its a waste of time.

She rejected me nicely and politely by saying she is not looking for anything right now ( collegestudent and in my community most of them wait to the last year or after graduation ), and i respect that for real, but something feels off about me.

I feel that Iam carrying a havey heart? What if i wait a little bit longer maybe i have a better chance with her ? Or could make a serious step which is better in my community?

Iam dont have any issue with rejection at all, but i cant describe what is in my mind, I just wish I never spoke to her, not saying she is a bad person, but so I dont carry this strange feeling.

Ineed your advices, iam in a place we're i cant meet any girl till the end of 2027 ( career related things ) and if i succeed at reaching what I want, ill not be able to meet any girl at all since ill be moving to another country, and ill only marry from my country ( culture things)

Should i, try again with her next year ? Or dump the whole thing and looking for another which I'd by wating if someone cross the road with me ?

Or should I stay in my solitude and focus only on myself?

That's maybe alot of talk but except GPT I have no one else to talk about, and as a boy, man or whatever you think about me, I just need and advice.

✅ Open To Everyone Worth a Shot? Or am I just overthinking??

TL;DR: I've [21M] been friends with a girl [21F] from college for a while now, and I'm not sure if she likes me or if we're just friends. There are enough things to suggest to me that she might like me, but other enough things to suggest to me that I'm just interpreting friendship too much.

I'll call her X.

Really, it was X that came to me first. I was talking to someone about some random thing and X overheard me and came up after me to chat about whatever it was that I was talking about (rather than her approaching me). After that X was the one initiating talks and sometimes texting first.

We got more comfortable and started discussing more personal things such as family, friends, college, just random about each other's lives and music and social aspects, etc. X has showed me a little of her world, likes music and what she was doing at the time.

X has tried to sit close to me on multiple occasions, even when X was hanging out with friends. There were several instances where X wanted me to save a seat, or created such a fuss with the group that I was left sitting with X.

X has sometimes appeared quite comfortable physically with me. There has been light physical teasing – kicking/tapping my leg and grabbing my arm. And at one point while walking together, X leaned in and asked me to come closer.

Sometimes, on exam days, X has remained after the exam and just kept talking to me for quite a long while after the exam was over. X was eager to work with me during a class activity.

I met some of X's friends, and X asked me to college activities several times and followed up to see if I was going. X has sometimes brought up things she'd overheard me talking about later.

One time, X asked whether I would take X around when X comes to my part of the country.

Later we got to hang out one-on-one, and actually it went really well. X was at ease, we talked for a long time and it was lots of joking around. X even asked me to hang out again the following week, but I couldn't that week.

And there are also some reasons that hold me back.

X is very social and has many friends, including some close guy friends she really trusts. She's also in a much more social environment than me, so naturally she spends a lot of time with that group.

X also is more of a joiner than a planner. You have basically never been the type to make a one on one plan with me without me initiating. When we talk about meeting it's (more often than not) me making the plan.

When we're face to face, X is good at maintaining the conversation. In chat, X is slow and grumpy or responds half a sentence at a time instead of replying comprehensively.

There have also been a few times where plans didn't work out because X had other commitments. I didn't necessarily think X was making excuses, but there were occasions where I felt like I was putting in more effort or that X could have communicated sooner, which made me question how interested X actually was.

X has also directly said to my face that X is a very shy person, which makes everything even more confusing to try and work through. Sometimes X is more reserved around me, especially around other people, while other times X is very comfortable with me.

That's basically why I'm stuck.

What would u guys have done? It's my first rodeo so kindly excuse for any obv mistakes.

NOTE: Yup, it's written with the help of AI, kindly ignore that.
