I’m looking to get a couple items tailored. One is a sweatshirt that just needs thumb holes put in it and the other is the lining of a leather jacket that needs repaired.

I used to go to a woman named Marianne who had a tailoring business out of her home, but the phone number I have for her doesn’t work anymore.

Does anyone know of any shop — or ideally an individual person with a business — who could help with these things? Any shop recommendations? I live in Ankeny and the primary shop here wasn’t willing to help.

If anyone is in contact with Marianne and knows if she still does alterations and/or repairs that would be even better!!! I have her last name but didn’t want to put it here just in case.

I am coming up on two years in my house and have paid for Spring Green both of those years but even despite the perfect weather conditions with all the rain and warmth we've had, my lawn looks like complete crap.

I pay for four treatments, one in the late spring, two during the summer, and a final treatment in the fall and again, my lawn looks horrible.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a lawn service in the Ames/DSM areas?

I'm looking to get a suit (shirt, matching jacket/slacks) for an upcoming wedding, but I'm a taller, heavier guy, so thrifted/dept store sizes always end up too small or too baggy on me. On the other hand, I'm a grad student, so I'm poor.

I understand a well-fitting suit is always gonna cost a bit more money, but I'm looking for any options that feel fairly priced with a focus on a good fit, instead of expensive brands or fabrics.
