I'm not happy with the work so far. Not sure what to do to get it looking less muddy. Any tips? I'm not that good of a nature painter.

I have a question from a beginner, I’ve been painting for o my a few months.

My strokes are never smooth, my brushes feel like they are skipping and leaving bristle strokes near the main stroke. I went and bought nicer brushes and tried more expensive paint. I’m still seeing it.

I am using canvas panels. Is there something I can do to prep the canvas for smoother strokes or is it something with the paint or brushes. Perhaps, it’s just my technique or lack thereof.

Hi everyone!

This is my first time working with acrylics. I wanted to create a vibrant, 70s psychedelic vibe for this hanging pothos plant.

It’s a quite small piece (15x15 cm / 6x6 inches), and it took me around 13 hours because I really tried to focus on the details of the leaves and the clean lines.

I would love to get some constructive criticism!

Mozart acrylic paint. Originally all blue. Plastic. Found in out front of a store to be thrown away. I Painted it. Now he chills and stares at things. I call him the inner city Mozart/Urban Mozart. In a reality where technology didn't fade from the flood. It just progressed. I am the Artist.

I'm mainly a watercolor enthusiast, but I have tried acrylic paints. I tried a simple landscape and a detailed drawing of a statue on canvas. The landscape was mostly about mixing colors, but I faced problems with the detailed drawing. Pencil on canvas was such a blunder, tho I covered it with paint, but I mostly had to just imagine, paint over it, and go with the flow, which Im not used to, as watercolors are very transparent. So are there any mediums for acrylic paint that allow pencil and eraser to do no harm and can be used to draw precise details onI'm the already made sketch like in watercolors, the go-to is Watercolor papers, are there any go-to for my needs?
