Not sure I wanna use him though, especially when my house seems to somehow forever have at least *one* fruit fly flying around... Still a fun prop though!

movie 📽️ Am I the only one who did not like this movie? Not because it was garbage by any means. In fact, the movie is far from garbage or bad. But rather I didn't like it because it literally romanticized genocide when the story presented Melanie's actions in the end as something noble and heroic.

Like what the hell? I would have been fine with her action in the end if it was actually presented as something heavy and terrible but nope, the film says genocide is okay because humanity bad all of them even though we spent the rest of the film about Melanie discovering her own humanity. Yeah, I'm not gonna root for that type of nonsense. It's just misanthropism propaganda.

game 🎮 I made a round-based co-op zombies game, and the free demo is at 95% positive from 400+ reviews

Hey zombie fans. It's called Mortuus: round-based zombies for 1 to 4 players, and every run is on a new map. You buy doors, spin the mystery box, upgrade your guns and pick an upgrade after every round, and there's a hidden boss if you find the way to her.

The demo is free on Steam and it's in Next Fest right now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3680170/Mortuus/

The full game is coming to Steam and Xbox Series X|S. What do you think?

An experimental web game where you helplessly listen to news reports about the 28 days later virus until it reaches you as a helpless old lady living somewhere in the UK.

Pick Cambridge if you want to get it over with!

discussion Zombie Fiction Scenarios

My question to everyone is what are some realistic things which you feel would happen in an actual zombie apocalypse which are never (or almost never) addressed or shown in zombie movies/ games?

As an example, I saw someone talk about gasses building up in decomposing zombie abdomens which would cause their abdomen to burst/ pop.

discussion So I found a track from the Wild Zero soundtrack

A repost because apparently the mods just don't like links: I just finished a watch of Wild Zero (which I posted about a while ago), and that gave me a rematch on a track I vaguely remembered from my first viewing. I knew I had it when it got to a scene where Tobio is on foot and another woman is turning into a zombie as she mourns her undead boyfriend. I paused the movie for multiple unsuccessful web searches before I brought up the track listings for the official soundtrack and made my best guess. It was a match, and it turned out to be Tonight by The Vikings (which again you will just have to look up bc I cannot make sense of what the mods want for link formatting). For maximum confusion, the album it's most readily associated with is Best Head Ever from 2005, six years after the release of the movie. The greater mystery is, why are so many of the songs in a Japanese rock opera in English???

article The Las Vegas Zombie Show Keeping the Variety Revue Alive

Post image
4 Upvotes

“Zombie Burlesque” looks like a Halloween novelty, but it has lasted far longer than most novelty shows should. The production opened in Las Vegas in 2013 and was built around an intentionally absurd premise: it is 1958, zombies and humans have negotiated an uneasy peace, and the undead have opened Club Z to living visitors. The result is part horror spoof, part burlesque, part old-fashioned variety show.

The show has a life inside a very specific Las Vegas mythology. Its fictional year, 1958, falls squarely within the city's atomic-tourism era, when nuclear testing in Nevada became part of Las Vegas spectacle and branding. The show's own mythology leans into that atomic-age atmosphere and explicitly promises homages to horror films of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

poll I am Legend vs Days Gone zombies?

Who would win in an all-out confrontation? Or, in other words, which world do you think would give you better survival odds?

This question is, of course, specific to those who’ve played the game and watched the movie.. or are, at least, familiar enough with both worlds’ zombies. They’re both incredibly attuned to noise.. they all hoard in no time.. they’re fast and strong, with infinite stamina.. BUT: Days Gone has vicious zombies of all kinds (‘kid’ zombies that are super agile and fast, adult zombies that are relentless, animal zombies - I only remember Bear zombies, idk if there are others, big oversized heavyweight zombies the size of Sumo wrestlers, and at least one sonic-speed fast old lady zombie. I Am Legend has one type of zombies but they’re like olympic athletes: superhuman speed, agility, jump,…etc. They’re also absolutely and wildly vicious. I believe base-form Days Gone zombies are easier to kill but the special variety (‘sumo’ zombies, old lady…etc.) are harder to kill.

Days Gone zombies have a good base of abilities and ruthlessness + variety of form and size + a mean old lady.. I Am Legend zombies have maxed-out bars across the board but they’re all human-sized. Who would you ‘rather’ try to fight off? 😂

The zombies in these two worlds would (in my opinion) clear out all other zombies in fiction, so I thought of putting them head-to-head. Which zombies from which media title can compete in your opinion?

discussion What are the odds that a zombie outbreak has happened somewhere in the world but the government stopped it from ever escaping/being reported to media?

What if mad scientists creating zombie viruses is a common thing that happens in our world but the government is always able to swoop in and contain the virus, and the government keeps it under heavy wraps, like UFO footage?

Food for thought

question For you, what is the worst zombie apocalypse ?

Post image
78 Upvotes

I know it's very classic question but I love it.

You have to count the speed of the transformation (the moment where you loose control once you're infected)

How the infected/living dead hunts you

How the infection spreads

How painful is the transformation

How dangerous is the infected alone and in group

For me it's Crossed or the sadness (movie pretty much inspired by the comics). You get infected ina seconds, you keep all your memories and cognitive capacities except your ability to feel empathetic and you preservation instincts. They just like to rape, murder, eat alive every living being they see, and all that probably in the same time. They kill each other time to time, but since they also like to suffer, ain't nothing like torturing somone who genuinely beg for mercy.

game 🎮 Most Realistic and Immersive Zombie Apocalyptic Video Games

I'm looking for the best zombie apocalypse video games you've played.

Both in terms of how realistic the zombies themselves and the situation, but also how deep the mechanics of stuff like befriending NPCs and maintaining your base are.

Please give some silly camp movie with stupid green creatures it can fucking save my life
