I cannot get HDR to work correctly on the x20. Game is Control Resonant, it does not let you set the peak brightness, it pulls it from windows.

Streaming from steam remote play, it uses the peak brightness value of my desktop value.

Streaming from moonlight, it says HDR is not supported.

Playing natively on the x20, it says peak brightness is 719.

I’m so frustrated, the display is 75% of the reason to buy this thing and I can’t even use it correctly.

My X20 just arrived with a minor defect out of the box, very disappointed on this beautiful device. A bit of back story, this is the second X20 I got...I bought the first one on launch day and there was a dead pixel so I returned it. This is the replacement and now it has a cosmetic defect out of the box. I'm very disappointed with ASUS QC.

Is there supposed to be a gap like this or is mine defective?

So I finally go my x20 and plugged it in with the C in the port next to lights and I can’t get my light to go white from orange even after an hour and a half of charging. Mind u because it hasn’t first started if the plug is unplugged there’s 0 light even when hitting power. But plugged in it shows the logo and the thumbs light up and then dark and then logo again (boots again on its own) and usually then dark; occasionally it will say please wait with loading wheel but then the screen just goes dark. :/

I've seen some comments about the sticky feeling but this just seems to have the click, don't believe I had this when I got it either on release day, just noticed last night. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I just got a X20 and I'm loving every minute of it. I have a 4tb SSD installed, but i also have a 1tb SD card lying around and I wanted to use it because why the hell not. My question is, do regular games work fine running on a SD card? Ill attach a photo of the type of SD card I have. Appreciate any help I can get!

Coming from my Steam Deck OLED, the boost in game performance is insane and the OLED panel is beautiful. So, it's time to think about upgrades....

What is the best brand and model for MicroSD? It supports Express, but will the micro in my Steam Deck work? Or is it not worth it because of speeds?

I tested this across 3 different games, the windows desktop mode was using sometimes even less ram then the Xbox full screen mode, when they first made this mode I did see positive results but it seems to have gone backwards since?

I have bought an XAX and rarely use my PC to game anymore so I thought I could sell my PC. Has anyone used it as a “PC” as well as a handheld?

Hi guys I know this may sound a bit dumb, I did kind of wish the rog xbox ally x had a camera, something similar to the PsVita which I owned. I guess I want it due to nostalgia reasons, since I've lost my PsVita, I'm happy with it, being able to emulate all my lost libraries (aka Ps3 games, had to throw it for space and such) just that I feel like they could've added a camera maybe? I'm not expecting it like literally, but kinda wished they had somewhat of an add-on.

Hey guys, so I’m officially a XAX owner!! I just picked up the XAX 24GB RAM 1TB Samsung SSD version on eBay for $798. That's a win, right? I wanted to get the X20 but by the time I knew of it, I had already ordered this version. From the differences, I’m not picky with having a OLED screen. Are both versions worth it? What are the differences? Is it recommended to buy a memory Card?

I also wanted to ask what videos, tips or sources would you recommend I follow to set up the XAX the best way possible? I'm mostly going to use it for:

Steam, A few games from my Xbox library (very few), PC RPGs & Emulators

Anyone else have an issue where windows does not not recognize the sd card after waking from sleep? I have to eject and reinsert the card every time.

The x20 is now sold out at curry’s in UK. Seems like it might be a problem if they already sold out. Because no other place in Europe hasn’t got them. They first come to Sweden and Germany etc in November / mid of November depending on the country.

Do we think that it will be an issue to get a hold of one as a European customer? And that the second hand market will be flooded with overpriced ones. Going for 2500$?

I got this one off amazon, it’s the dual layer storage case by JSAUX and it’s the only one i could find in this size/style advertised for fitting the X20

it does feel a bit tight but it’ll have to do, i really don’t wanna slap on the kill switch based on comments that it makes it bulkier and heavier. I really want a slim case, am worried nobody will make it if this device is limited edition.

Saw this being reviewed on thought I'd be a good match for my x20 for travel. I wanted a slim case kind of like the original Asus XAX case.. but then I figured usually I put that case in another bag when I go on an airplane. So this will just allow me to carry my X20 along with my phone, wallet and battery pack if I want to all in one place. It's actually fairly large inside with pockets outside as well. And the bag itself is not too big or bulky like some of the other large cases that fit the X20.

Fits nice in there. It's snug but fits well, I doubt it will fit with a case on it like the Killswitch, but you can get rid of the hard plastic protection if you want.

Anyone else hearing a high pitched fan noise from their x20 ally? Wondering if it’s just mine. Doesn’t sound like coil whine and it happens with cpu boost on or off or with fans high or low.

Recently bought a Rog Ally Xbox to play steam games while docked. I picked up a JSAUX dock with 100w charger. After doing initial setup stuff it had a PIN but when docked wouldn't show it on the tv so I had to pull it off the dock to log in. I removed that but the. It defaulted to what I think is Windows password. Same issue. Won't show on tv until logged in. I managed to disable that (I thought) but now it's asking for 1 of 2 log ins and won't recognize any of my passwords. If I can't get logged in, is there a way to factory reset without logging in??? I'm literally locked out of it!

I have tried recalibrating twice and sometimes it shows dead center but I barely touch it and then it drifts like picture shows? (I am not touching the left stick in the photo/. This is idle center). Defective or fixable?

Is the left and right side rumble supposed to feel different? Idk y im so nit picky with rumble just curious if others noticed the same.

Game crashes every time right before main menu. Does first two cutscenes then back to Xbox app
