Hii everyone. Hope y’all are doing great!! I’m making this post bc I’ve been wanting to create my own manga, so lemme explain :)

I’d say I’m pretty decent at drawing, but I’m TERRIBLE at coming up with an actual plot that makes sense, thinking of scenes, or just writing in general 😭 Sooo I’m looking for someone who’d be down to collab with me !
The goal isn’t necessarily to publish or post it anywhere, at least not at first, but if it turns out rlly good, we could def consider it !
I’d start by drawing everything on paper and then trace it digitally.

First things first. I’d rather not work with someone who already has a whole story planned out, with a fully developed plot and everything. I’d much rather we come up with smth together from scratch. But if any of my ideas inspire u, PLEASE feel free to tell me!!

NOW ABOUT MY IDEAS!!

I’m ngl, I’m not a huge fan of webtoons. They feel a bit too modern for my taste. Same goes for romance tbh. I don’t mind having some in the story, but it’s def not my thing.
I’d much rather make smth along the lines of a seinen/shonen manga.
To make things easier to read, I’ll just list everything here :

- I REALLY loved mangas like Tokyo Revengers, so I’m super into the whole gangs + friendship + nostalgia vibe.

- I HATE using creatures that already exist in fiction (like vampires, werewolves, etc.), but I absolutely LOVE coming up with my own ! That being said, I’m totally fine with including demons, supernatural stuff, or special powers in the story.

- I’d prefer the MC to be around 13–20 yo. I wouldn’t mind having a female MC either, as long as she’s not some stereotypical girl whose whole personality revolves around love, who can’t fight, etc. 😭

- I don’t rlly mind darker or more graphic scenes, as long as they’re not just there for shock value or way too excessive. I actually rlly enjoy psychological manga, especially when they deal with darker or more sensitive topics. BUT absolutely NO sexual scenes.

- I also LOVE historical manga, stories inspired by actual legends, philosophical themes, or just stories that teach u smth or actually make u think. Obviously, if we end up making a manga mostly about gangs, we probably won’t include all that. I’m just throwing ideas out there so y’all can get a better idea of what I like 🙂‍↕️

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!

I’d prefer to work with someone who’s actually active and has enough free time to work on the manga (like at least 30 mins a day), someone who won’t randomly ghost me after 2 days 😭
I’d also prefer someone around my age (15–20yo), if possible !

Hi! I’m Courtney, (35, Eastern Time) and I'm starting a brand-new novel and would love a writing partner to grow alongside.

My project: Every 7 years, one villager's name gets drawn as a tithe, and they are sent up a mountain as a sacrifice to the ancient being that lives there. The chosen serves as the god's Voice for a season, then is never seen again. After Despira's name is chosen, she refuses to await her fate and runs herself into an alliance with a man carrying a centuries-old secret. Now she faces a choice: perform for the temple until she "ascends" or expose it for all the lies. Either way, someone will pay with their life.

What I write: Fantasy that leans gothic. My work has darker themes and romance, but it’s story-first, not spice-first. I’m happy to share content notes!

What I’m looking for:

• Someone writing romantasy, fantasy, gothic, folk-horror anything strange and atmospheric
• Someone also at the very beginning of a draft (discovery stage, figuring it out as we go)
• Experienced writers preferred, but newer writers are welcome too
• Someone who wants a real, ongoing partnership, not opposed to co-authoring/building a brand together later.

How I’d like it to work:

• Start by getting to know each other and our stories. Talk about ideas, worlds, characters
• Ease into swapping pages once we’re comfortable
• Big-picture feedback for now (what’s working, where you got lost, what excites you), no line edits on rough drafts
• Weekly check-ins over messages, maybe video calls later on (I have social anxiety)

Are you burnt out after writing in the same genre over and over again? Are you looking for a new project, that will give you a chance to shine? Maybe it's time to try something new! I'm a staff member in a mc server oriented around civilisations, freedom and bringing people together. We're looking for people who want to try and help us with giving the community what it needs. And that is: quests for players, server / player / civilisation lore, short / long stories, etc (right now, the first one is most important). The community is lovely, they wait patiently until we return, but we're understaffed, so any help would be amazing. As i mentioned before, it's a voluntary position for now, as we don't have any p2w features, and we're funding everything ourselves. But in the future, it might become paid. Hello I am a new writer. I have created long form content with a co-writer in the past. I had a lot of fun having someone to create ideas and plots together.

I also am looking for someone who will push me to be a better writer in general, and I want us both to grow as people and writers with some feedback and honesty!

I tend to enjoy magical and dark themed stories. The plots I enjoy writing are descriptive in gore and combat. I enjoy certain tropes and I am always willing to hear an idea out.

I would like to make at least 2 paragraphs a response, and I am hoping to be fairly active. If need be a schedule for responses can be something discussed too, but of course no pressure.
