Option 1: Never Comfortable Alone

You feel intense anxiety and depression anytime you're alone. You can still be happy with friends, family, or a partner, but the loneliness immediately returns when you're by yourself. No therapy or treatment can ever make you comfortable in your own company.

Option 2: Never Find Love

You can still enjoy being alone and have meaningful friendships and family relationships, but romantic love is permanently impossible. Any current relationship immediately becomes loveless. You could still date or have a partner, but they will only stay for money, to keep appearances, or another motive other than love, and you wouldn't truly love them either.

Me and my friend discussed this and I was just wondering what other people might think. We basically have parents that are polar opposites of each other.

My parents are strict and value authority/order. They keep your nose clean, make sure you're on the right path, and are very serious about you and your future, but can get overprotective and quite frankly limit your independence sometimes.

My friends parents are very chill and friendly with her. They let her speak her mind, have freedom, invite friends over, and overall let her be alot more independent. But they dont monitor her as much or make sure shes out of trouble as often. You get freedom, but you need to be responsible and stay out of trouble.

Overall, which would you rather have? The strict parents who keep you on the straight and narrow, or the loose parents who give you independence but leave you to explore more of the real world by yourself?

You are the ruler of a fairytale land with all manner of fairytale creatures.

You have a spouse (king/queen), and now a daughter.

As per tradition the entire land is invited from royalty, to the nobility, the gentry, and even the rabble.

Already invited are three queen fairies who will bestow upon your daughter the gifts of beauty, song, and poise. They are the highest authorities of the light fairies.

They lighten the mood with their aura and bring calm and safety.

However, the dark fairy, a powerful sorceress, known as Insidia must also be considered for an invitation. She is known as the Queen of all Evils and has a bitter rivalry and hatred for the other fairies, after mistreatment from them in her youth.

Horns, green skin, a tall, slender frame, and an intimidating aura. She brings no comfort feeling. She is also known to be vain, self-centered, but otherwise polite and respectful like the other fairies.

But, she has been known to bestow gifts such as charisma, political prowess, and deep conviction like she did less powerful rulers of a distant kingdom who invited her.

Also, in a previous incident she has been known to be very petty with your rivsl ruler, and cursed the daughter, because she wasn't invited. She simply showed up, one of the good fairies told her she wasn't wanted, and I sidia worked her dark magic in response to the public insult.

And in another incident at a royal gathering she was invited to, she turned into a dragon and bit the head off of a nobleman and burned his knights before disappearing. Nobody knows what the issue between them was. She later returned to her home in a dark castle on a mountain, commanding her goblins.

Option 1 - at your natural death, your consciousness will be uploaded to a server where you will, in theory, live for infinity. You will exist in an artificial, simulated world with everyone else who chose the same. This simulated world is controlled by an entity in the real world - likely a corporation but maybe a government or agency.

Option 2 - you die right now

You're in your regular body, you're immune to external environment (temperature, pressure or lack of air won't harm you), but you can still injure yourself through working too hard, all injuries fully heal in 5 days no matter what.

You get tired, hungry etc. nearby you is always door to safe room with food, hygiene and bed. You're mentally fortified to not turn insane by the long task, you can still feel negative emotions from it, just nothing that would prevent you from finishing.

You cannot leave. There are no humans. The stars stop moving and Everest stops growing. You have clock that tracks your progress. Your clothes are always in good condition. Nothing forces you to finish, but you're stuck there for eternity until the job's done.
