My favorite DC character! For the Princess of Themyscira

Teased a lil on the first sentance, i was hoping for an actual announcement of a wonder woman movie, so far everything has been just development rumours, oh well happy wonder woman day everyone

A little sketch featuring an original design for her 85th birthday 😁

Starting in January 2027, DC has planned a 10 issue two-part run for Wonder Woman by two creative teams to celebrate her 85th Anniversary. The first four issues will be by Louise Simonson, art by Cian Tormey, with a new (bold?) status quo for Diana. Dealing with Diana's desire to undo what Sovereign did and lead the Amazons back into Man's World, with Granny Goodness, the Female Furies, and Lois Lane promised.

After Simonson's four issue arc, Stephanie Williams and Elena Casagrande have a six issue arc planned. Diana will team up with Nubia in this arc.

I am interested to see how this works - it sounds kinda similar to the Action Comics All Stars event they did for Superman a few years back, with all star writer teams in a celebration/marketing push. Hopefully we get some good stories from it! And maybe a Sensation Comics run that isn't a digital first anthology?

Illustration I did of princess Diana, a mix of Lynda Carter and DC Superhero Girls designs!

Absolute Wonder Woman is easily top 3 Wonder Woman variants of all time

85 years of Wonder Woman!! 🥰 WIP I really wanted to get this done before today but I might have bit off more than I could chew. She needed to be celebrating tho!

Happy Wonder Woman Day everyone! In honor of today, what is your favorite incarnation of Wonder Woman or your favorite quote from her?

Wanted to make a drawing for the anniversary!

The showdown between Matriarch and Wonder Woman really feels disappointing IMO

Matriarch just knocked out Wonder Woman with one punch by her Green Lantern Ring, and that's it. It also seems to make Diana look a bit incompetent as later Nubia easily owns Matriarch by her skills, even though Matriarch has the ring

William Moulton Marston conceived the character as a feminist and psychological role model.

Elizabeth Holloway Marston, William's wife, a lawyer and psychologist, inspired the character's independent and intelligent persona.

Olive Byrne, the couple's life partner, whose bracelets and academic background influenced Wonder Woman's signature cuffs and lore.

Harry G. Peter drew the original comic book illustrations.

A simple sketch. I also really like the star skirt so I decided to draw her in it

How a liberal veneer was used to conceal comic book writer Tom King’s ultimately conservative political vision for Wonder Woman.
