Can I PLEASE have a feminine safe space on Reddit ?

I’m so tired of posting something and having random men in my DMs or comments, and some of them are genuinely weird. I just want a space where I can talk to other women, share my thoughts and have normal conversations without wondering if someone’s approaching me with ulterior motives. WHERE ARE THE GIRLS AT ??? I need some feminine energy on this app because I’m getting tired.

why men are saying that wearing a sports bra and shorts to the gym is inappropriate for women? /shane gillis snl

I saw that clip and I think many of you saw that too of shane gillis on snl saying that “women dress like wh***s at the gym”

How is it inappropriate or sexual to wear a sports bra and shorts? Men wear sleevless tshirts and shorts at the gym too.

You sweat and the air is hot at the gym, why should women wear a tshirt or a longer trousers, when sports bra and shorts are completely normal and cover inappropriate parts?

Is it dressing like a “wh**e “ when you wear a bikini at the beach? No.

Then why wearing bigger pieces than a bikini at a hot space where you sweat is dressing like a “wh**e “

I genuinely don’t get it

As the last woman on Earth, most men would do terrible things to her. Is this the truth?

This question has been posted in different ways throughout the years, but the answer is always the same.......Yes, the last woman on a planet of men will be treated horribly, a fate worse than death.

Even most men agree in recent pollings/surveys.

Is this really true?

Men will become monsters when they don't have enough women?

[Content Warning: ] Pressured into sex by my BF

MAJOR TW ⚠️ Hi guys! I’ve been debating making this post as I don’t exactly know what to make of this situation. A few days ago me and my bf booked a hotel room as we planned to spend some time together privately. Prior to this, I told him I hated having penetrative sex because of trauma and the pain it causes me. Everything was going well until he wanted me to get on top, I was hesitant and said no. This caused him to call me weird as “we’ve done everything else that night” and that we should just do what he wants. After I said no, he refused to talk to me, watched TV, rolled over then went on his phone.

I then went in the bathroom and started crying because I was so afraid of upsetting him because I said no. When I came out, I asked him a few more times what happened and if he was mad, he refused to communicate every time I asked. The next morning he barely spoke to me until it was time to say goodbye, 30 minutes later he sent a breakup text that were along the lines of “I don’t think this is going to work. I’m just not feeling it, I wish you well”. Another thing to note is he kept touching me before this and asking for head until I gave in because I didn’t want him to get angry. He also got annoyed once I asked for him to wear protection as “It feels better without” I’m not sure what to make of this situation as I feel used and quite violated as a result of this. If anyone has advice or has had similar experiences I’d really appreciate if you could share them 💗 I just feel overwhelmed and have been crying because I felt pressured into doing that for him.

strings advice

• Upvotes

hi! i bought a pack of strings in H&M few days ago for the first time in my life and i have a problem. it’s suits perfectly, but when i sit , i feel that they are being stretched tight in the ass. its not super painful, but i feel an irritation when i sit for a long time. i bought right size and it suits not super tight, only when i sit , it irritates me.
i find strings amazing, because they don’t ride up your butt like regular underwear, but this don’t let me completely enjoy them.

maybe u have good recommendations, which brands of strings i could try? please if u have some comfortable suggestions, let me know🙏🏻

As a woman, I’m scared to be in a relationship

I’m 30 years old and I have no dating or sexual experience. I grew up with an abusive father which caused me to develop a fear of all men, I believed that all men had anger issues and were violent, so I would try to avoid them as much as possible.

I became su*cidal at 17 and almost gave up on life. As a teen, I started reading romantic novels and i used to watch romcoms. And just like most teens, I was delusional because I believed I would meet a nice guy like in the movies. I wanted to get married in my mid 20s and start a family.

But as an adult I saw what women go through.

Women have been cheated on, suffered from DV, been SA, unalived, all at the hands of their own partner. Everytime I open Instagram or Twitter, I see news about women being a victim of one of those mentioned above. Literally every single day.

And it’s not just on social media, I personally know a lot of women who have suffered.

Most of my colleagues have been divorced, and it’s because some of them were cheated on and some have faced DV. It’s so common that it scares me.

People tell women to ‘choose better’, but like….how? An abuser wouldn’t abuse you as soon as you meet, a cheater wouldn’t cheat straight away. Based on what I’ve observed, a lot of men say the right things in the beginning and then show their true colours once you’re deep in.

There are a lot of misogynists and red pill content consumers out there.

I have already experienced abuse that has left me with PTSD, I’m too scared to pursue a relationship with someone who could potentially turn into my biggest nightmare.

i started prioritizing myself more now !

as it's not healthy to be stuck around with your man all the time, i realized that we all should have our own world own life sorted first and then expect a healthy relationship. so i started working out at home. i'm watching my favorite tv show. i'm giving some of my time to do my skin care hair care. i'm making coffee for me. i have plans to go out by myself sometimes to have nice foods alone or just walk in the parks alone - just to teach myself to be happy even when i'm alone.

yes i have friends, i have my man.

i go out with my friends when we have matching schedules. i go out with my man also twice in a month.

but still i want to feel loved by myself more than others. cause otherwise i notice that i feel sad whenever my man gives me less attention. and it's NOT healthy at all. cause he also feels pressure if i keep asking for time when he's sad or he's out with his friends.

so girls how is your perspective on this ? what things do you do to keep yourself happy and feel loved by own self ?

Unsecure

Hello girls.

I’ve been hesitant to share this, but it has affected me deeply. Ever since I was young, I haven’t really developed breasts like other girls—they are barely noticeable. I can never find a bra that fits me perfectly; they are always a bit too big, which really troubles me. I’ve come to dread going out or meeting people because they often give me sharp, judgmental looks, clearly taken aback by my flat chest. My mother suggests using padded inserts, but they are completely uncomfortable for me. I have struggled socially—and still do—with this anxiety following me everywhere, all the time. I can’t even find peace within myself. I’ve always dreamed of being able to wear a dress that looks natural and suits me. I’m almost 21, yet my family still treats me like a child because I lack clear, feminine physical traits. It hurts so much that some people don’t even seem to view me as a "real" girl; they avoid me. I have no one to talk to who would truly understand the pain I’m going through. I’ve spent my entire life like this, and I still am.

Do men LIKE women?

I hate the way that men see sex and thinking about it makes me so sad, to the point of tears. I don’t think lust is a bad thing, I think you can love and lust someone, but it seems like men never want to be with you with love in mind, just lust. And then they use it against you, like today I made a comment giving the definition of a phrase and multiple men responded to me offended and making comments about me being ran through and used. I just don’t get why? All I did was give a definition. If a woman is open about sex and sexual topics then it’s used against her, and if she dresses in a way men find attractive then it’s used against her. And now men constantly make jokes about using women as stress relievers. It just makes me miserable, maybe i’m only seeing men this way because that’s all I see online and all I get is confirmation bias, but I rarely see anything proving they don’t think this way about women. This rant makes me appear pretty naive I think but I just want to say it because I can’t stop thinking about it any time I see any reference to relationships or just in general, it’s making me overly sad constantly lmao. I’ve never been any good at making friends, I haven’t held a full conversation in years and I don’t have good relations with my family and for whatever reason find it extremely difficult to connect with the family members I do talk to (which are less than a handful) so I think I see relationships as my only chance, which I know is silly and I should work on it, but yeah. It just makes me feel even more alone seeing this stuff constantly. (I don’t want to make any men feel bad by me saying this, logically I know it’s a silly generalisation but I can’t help feel this way and I believe it’s mostly true.)

How did you find the right person or started believing in love again?

30F here, after number of failed/unhealthy relationships and after seeing how unhappy my mother was in her marriage or how unhappy and sad some of my closest friends are in their marriage, I (who always wanted to be with a good person) feel ick towards men and can’t imagine falling in love again. That part of me is de*d.

How did any one of you who went through something like this get out of it? How did you fall in love again?

I have a strong hunch many men dont want to fix their loneliness status as that would require effort

I met with a coworker for lunch. And funny enough this happened with two coworkers and that's why I decided to post. One is a weirdo two is maybe something but adding all the other men...

Anyways I met him for lunch and asked if he wanted to meet some other coworkers. We are different departments but met at a meeting so I thought we could mingle. He said no he doesn't like lots of people talking. Um OK fair.

I asked my friends and some said that maybe he thinks he can date you. It might be possible. But if I've invited him to meet others, women and men who knows he may hit it off with others. So that's just weird. And two men is strange. Not to mention if I'm not available then what? Why kill of the chance to network etc. Like you can't put your eggs in one basket. So in this regards they don't even wanna work and make effort to at least have a wider social group.

Then I have all the many male friends that I've dropped now that I've gained clarity. If I don't reach out to them then our contact is as good as dead. So in this regards they don't even wanna work to fix it.

Next... I'm on social apps for making friends. There's an app where you can pick either friends or dating etc. And I made it clear to make friends. When guy labelled friends too. He asked what are you looking for. I said friends. As my tag says. What about you. He said well its been a while... I want a girlfriend. I just said good luck and ended it. Now. Here's the part about effort. Its not about his mis label. Its his profile had no pictures of himself. I know some people may not care about looks but its not just about that. I literally have no idea who you are. You could be a man double the ladies age. Why don't you at least post a picture of yourself? He made zero effort To post even his face. Shy or not how do you expect to date. AWtf

I have two ex friends who got divorced. Guess what. Not attentive to their wives. The wives were mature enough to just divorce (instead of cheating)

So like wtf men.

[Content Warning: ] CALLING ALL HIJABI'S & WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm a Pakistani muslim girl and I'm currently writing a song about the injustices as of late towards the women around the world suffering from the scrutiny and bans of wearing the hijab, especially in Azerbaijan, and also the abuse, mistreatment, experiences and struggles women face just by being born a female in countries where rights and freedom are being stripped away, such as Afghanistan.

It would be great if you girlies could put some phrases that you would like or instrumentals you guys would like me to include to represent you lot and your culture (obviously I can't put everyone's), but I would like to do it in a way that appreciates and doesn't appropriate.

You don't have to be in these countries either. You could be from the US, UK, Ukraine, Palestine, etc.

I would also like to include little quotes of things that you have said at the end, so hopefully I could add some of your voices to the end of my song, like little snippets and voice notes. Thanks.

Looking to speak to women about their experiences with school uniforms

Hi everyone! I hope this is okay to post here.

I'm a journalism MA student in London, and I'm currently working on an article about the sexualisation of school uniforms and a petition by the Little Feminist Book Club calling for a ban on school uniform imagery in pornography.

As part of my research, I'd really love to hear from women who have had uncomfortable or upsetting experiences related to wearing a school uniform, whether that's unwanted attention, sexual comments, harassment, or simply feeling sexualised or unsafe in something they were expected to wear at school.

I'd also love to hear from anyone who has thoughts or experiences they'd like to share about this topic, even if their perspective is different. I'm genuinely interested in listening to people's stories and understanding how they feel about the issue.

I'm hoping to speak to a few people for a short interview to help bring personal experiences and voices into the article. You can remain completely anonymous, and you don't have to share anything you're not comfortable with. I'm happy to explain more about the article and answer any questions before you decide whether you'd like to take part.

I know this can be a sensitive subject, so please don't feel any pressure to share personal experiences publicly. You can send me a private message if you'd prefer.

Thank you so much for reading, and for anyone willing to share their experiences with me. I'd really appreciate it! ❤️

I wish I weren't ugly.

My sister just asked me what I like about her face. I had whole list of things and told her she was just too perfect. When I asked her what SHE liked about my face just couldn't point out a single thing. She was like oh your skin. I was like that's it?!

I wish there was a single admirable feature in my face. I am just too ugly :(

Not really sure if it’s me or something else.

I’m (21F) and he’s (31M) I’ve been dating him for around 3 months and i do love him…he’s a great man, attentive, affectionate, loves my animals and my animals love him.
(Please no comments about the age gap, I am aware of the age gap and I am an adult)

The problem Ive been having is he has a hard time “getting it up” and “staying up” he was and alcoholic (just over a year sober) so I’m not sure if this has to do with him getting erect…but I can’t help but think it may be me, that he doesn’t mind me attractive.
I have tried to ask if it is me, however he says it isn’t and he has a lot of things on his mind.
Has anyone ever dealt with something like this and does anyone know anything that may help, other than Viagra etc? I just can’t stop thinking it might be me

I’m quite a shy person and let him make the first move (which I think may also be the issue) but I’m trying to overcome my shyness (I have a little since being with him) does anyone have any ideas on how to stop my shyness and for me to make the first move instead?

To women who had unplanned and unexpected pregnancies, what had you decided to kept it or terminate? I already have 1 child and my husband had a vasectomy today, but 3 days before the schedule we learned that were pregnant. Maybe 5 weeks, we’re undecided of the better decision to make. Can you share your stories please 😔

why am i so hairy? is it normal?

hi, i (20F), am white with pale skin and a lighter head hair color. however, i have thick black body hair. my eyebrows grow down to my eyelids, i have to pluck my chin and jaw regularly, and i also have thick hair leading down from my belly button (happy trail). i know that most women have more body hair then is typically shown through media, and i completely agree that it is normal for body hair to grow and shaming women for it is disgusting, but on a basic standpoint, is it normal to have such thick and dark hair while i myself am pale with a lighter head hair color? should i go to my doctor and see if i have a hormone issue? it just feels excessive and different from other girls. maybe i’m being dramatic and it’s not so noticeable, but i really am pale so i feel like it sticks out, idk. any advice appreciated! but please no hate, and body hair slander is not tolerated!!

[Content Warning: ] I had the WORST meet up of my life 💔

Today I met up with a guy I met months ago. He texted me and wanted to see me so i texted him when I was finished, and he told me to come to him. Mind you, he wanted me to walk for 30 MINUTES, so I said absolutely not. 💀 He ended up picking me up instead.

He parked on some random street, with the car windows halfway up, and said he wanted us to talk. He asked about my day at college today, and then proceeded to give me a whole lecture that gave me a headache. I appreciated the advice, though.

For context, he's 29, has a daughter, and I'm 19. I don't even like age gaps and usually prefer people my own age, but I was curious and wanted to gain some experience. I wasn't attracted to him at all. Honestly, I was doing it for the plot, beacuse I felt left out knowing all my friends had experiences but me.

Anyway, after talking for a bit, he suddenly came over to my side and started making out with me.

It was so sudden that my first instinct was to push him away, but I told myself that I wanted experience, so I tried kissing him back. IT WAS TERRIBLE. I hated it. ( I've only ever kissed on the lips and this man tried eating my face )

Then he started touching me, and I was shocked because I didn't realise we were going to be doing all that. He touched my breasts and vag, and mind you, the car windows were still halfway down! I told him to wind them up, and he was acting like nobody could see us. SIR, A MAN HAD LITERALLY JUST WALKED PAST THE CAR.

Eventually, he wound them up and continued touching me. At first, I was a little excited because I've always been curious about intimacy and wanted to experience being touched. But even though I was physically responding, it didn't actually feel good.

He was sweaty, breathing heavily, kissing all over me, and sucking my nipples. I HATE neck kisses, and all the stuff he was doing just wasn't my thing. I've been kissed and touched by other people before, and those experiences actually felt good, so I don't what the hell he was doing.

Then he tried fingering me, and it hurt. I've explored my own body before, and fingering has never really felt good for me, so I thought maybe having someone else do it would be different. Nope.

Things got worse when he tried to penetrate me. I wasn't expecting that, especially since we hadn't discussed it beforehand. I told him I was a virgin, but he still tried. It hurt, so I told him it wasn't working. He tried again, and I told him I didn't want to do this today.

HE STILL TRIED AGAIN.

Like, sir??? I said I didn't want to do it! Why are we trying this multiple times when I'm telling you no? Eventually, he let out a big sigh and stopped trying to penetrate me.

He then told me to kiss him, and I did which was just slimly and gross. He grabbed my poor boob and then proceed to jerk off on me. There was no protection involved btw.

Afterwards, he was frantically searching the entire car for wipes because everything was a mess. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there in my SCHOOL JERSEY ( it was picture day ), wondering what on earth just happened. 🫩

Then he started talking about how he wasn't going to force anything ( sure buddy), how he liked that I was a virgin, and how I was hot. He also said it's normal for girls to experience pain during their first time.

I'm sorry, WHAT?

I understand that some people experience discomfort during their first time, but shouldn't you actually make sure the other person is comfortable and ready first? You can't just rush everything, ignore someone saying no, and then give them a lecture about how pain is normal. Also mind you he did no damn foreplay? Just touched me for 10 secs and expected it to slip in ? Talking about " but your wet tho " YEAH ! NATURALLY but I'm not feeling anything.

The had the audience to say I felt so tight, I WONDER WHY !?.

AND THEN I FOUND OUT HE LEFT A HICKEY ON MY NECK.

THERE WAS ALSO ONE ON MY BOOB.

Atp I wished I got into a fight instead beacuse that's how I looked. Like why would u do this in a obvious spot with someone with light complexion!? I'm also in my school shirt like !?

The funniest part is that, before all this happened, he had already asked me to go on a date with him next week. Absolutely not. I want nothing to do with this man anymore.

And the worst part? This experience was so bad that I caught myself thinking, "My ex would NEVER."

Honestly, none of my previous partners treated me like this. They asked questions, checked that I was comfortable, and respected my boundaries.

Then I had to go home with feeling ick with damn spit and mystery fluid all over me 🫩

now I'm at home tryna hide this hickey on the worst weekends ever because my family is visiting and I spent the whole afternoon in my sweater hiding this dumb mistake ( the ONLY day the sun decided to shine too ).

That's my last time tryna be adventurous bro .

[Content Warning: ] Are there any good men left out there?

Im single and enjoying it, but I've noticed that the dating pool is soooo bad.

The quality of men is insanely low, they are tone deaf, misogynistic, hateful and dont want to change. They dont have any empathy. This is why it is SO HARD for me to date. I want a guy that is funny, kind, knows how to hold a good conversation, is FUN TO BE AROUND. I want a guy that will have a dance party with me in the kitchen at 1 am, i want a guy that will carry my purse, I want a guy that will hold my hand and tell me things are going to be okay and all the lovey dovey shit. I want real love.

But, the men out there are literally so bad. How can any woman have trust in the male population when atrocious shit like the Cornell 7 happens? Every single woman has a story about SA, every single one and STILL men blame women. It is disgusting.

I am so so so so fucking angry at this world all the time. I can not live without fear, i can not trust a man. I fear every fucking day for my safety and the safety of my girlfriends. I am scared to go out, last time i went to the club, my friend was harassed by some drunk dude, and NOBODY doesn't anything. Men stay at the top, critiquing women for anything we do, and when we DARE to speak up, we are silenced. It is a sick world.

Every man I've met has had basis towards women, they are all passively misogynistic and don't care to change, because they dont think there is anything TO change. And THAT is the problem.

I wish i get to live long enough to see the world getting better, for the next generation.

I have a crush on a man who will never like me back

I have not had a crush on anyone in ages and then I met him, he talks to everyone, he knows the whole world. He dresses well, he dances amazing, he always calls me when he sees me, he's so nice to everyone and helping but the only problem is he's never going to like me back because, well I cannot confirm it but I've asked everyone I could have asked that he's apparently gayyyy
