Discussion Please don’t spoil me, but…

I am playing this game for the first time, having read the books. I just brought Uma to Kaer Morhen… and I have this sense of dread coming over me, where I feel like the main story is about to end.

If so, I have a few side quests I’d want to wrap up first.

Is that feeling correct, without spoiling me?

Thanks in advance!

I never like games that give me stuff that otherwise would be hard to get.

As I'm too new to the game, I don't know how broken or normal these are, but I get the feeling that I shouldn't pick em up as I would change my level of fun.

I want to craft and loot awesome things when the time comes, not get them because I wanted to back up my saves if I ever pay for the game on my Switch.

Discussion Any news on new mods for playstation?

I want to continue my new play through but after looking at mods other than a few good and useful ones the rest are not interesting. So I wanted to ask if anyone knows when they are updating mods on PlayStation.

I wish they added better mods at the launch of the remaster.

I'm playing on Series X with no mods enabled, and I've been a fan of the series for years. But honestly, I've never encountered as many glitches in any game as I have in this "Remaster."

Discussion Burnout and such after getting to Skeligge

So, just reached Skellige and did the first story mission that leads to Yen and the druids cataclysm location.

I was kinda hyped to get the master armorer quest and superior griffin set, but I'm at lvl24 still and there's like a billion quests + map exploration and, damn, sometimes I just feel like an errand boy. Had that feeling with KCD2 which I fully dropped.

But I am liking the overall story and characters, I'm kinda tired of all the walking and talking that most quests are. Dunno if I should just take some time off to recover or something.

Did you go through this? How'd you recover? I'm 94 hours in.

Discussion Anyway to downgrade back to 4.0.4?

Ps5 downloaded the new update anyways after I paused it and I don't want to play remastered. I have the disc but thats gonna make me go back to 4.00 and I don't think my 4.0.4 saves will work. So stupid this isn't a separate app. Real cool that the stop auto updates on ps5 just doesn't work

Gwent I hope Gwent in Witcher 4 gets closer to the standalone Gwent game.

I used to play the standalone Gwent game a long time ago and now I'm back to the Witcher 3 Gwent. While I still enjoy the Witcher 3 version, it just feels like something's missing in it.

The standalone Gwent game has many elements that make the game much more interesting and while the whole game ported over to Witcher 4 would probably be overly complex for most players, I'd love to see atleast some of its mechanics or gameplay rules transfered over to the Witcher 4 Gwent.

For example:

  1. Weather cards- Witcher 3 has very one-dimensional weather cards - they basically nullify a whole row in both teams. Either the enemy has the Clear Weather card to counter them, or they don't. In standalone Gwent however, weather cards have a limited duration and for example lower the strongest unit's power for 3 turns. This makes using weather cards have more decision-making behind them. For example, if the enemy passes just after Biting Frost has been used, its value is much lower and it's basically a wasted card. Also reducing the strongest unit's power can be used for example in synergy with Scorch. If one unit has 8 power and another has 6 power, than reducing the stronger card to 6 power allows Scorch to target both cards at once. And there are many similar interactions like that and I don't think they are overly complex.
  2. Decks have more distinct and interesting mechanics behind them in the standalone game. For example, Skellige units gain benefits from getting damaged or even dying. Monsters can consume other monsters in order to grow stronger or multiply. In Witcher 3, all the decks play roughly the same and I never really felt a reason to explore decks other than Northern Realms deeper.
  3. More status effects like "apply poison 2 times and enemy dies". Or bleed that damages enemies over a given amount of turns. Easy to understand and easy to play.

I think that - while complex - the standalone Gwent game is superior in almost every way and I'd love to see atleast some of its advantages transferred to Witcher 4's Gwent.

Also maybe it's wishful thinking and it probably won't happen, but it would be great to be able to battle other real Gwent players inside the Witcher 4 world.

Help! Am I doing something wrong?

• Upvotes

On my first playthrough right now, and I'm loving it!

But I feel like I am not crafting stuff, doing all the alchemy and reading books properly. I got a bunch of books I looted from Vizima. Should I read them all? And how do I use potions and alchemy, crafting stuff, dismantling, repair and all that stuff?

Also I accidentally simulated my Witcher 2 save even though I never played it, and chose the 'Killed Letho' dialogue, apparently I will miss out on a quest? Will I be missing out on anything important.

Overall I want to enjoy this game blindly, so this is going to be my last post asking questions.

Help! The Witcher 3 on PS5 – Grass Looks Turquoise/Blue Instead of Green

Post image

Hi everyone,

I'm playing The Witcher 3 on PS5, and I've noticed a strange color issue. The grass and vegetation look turquoise or blue instead of their normal green color. The overall image also looks overly bright and washed out.

I'm using a TCL TV, and HDR is turned off on my PS5. The issue seems to mainly affect the grass and vegetation, rather than all the colors in the game.

I've attached a screenshot showing what it looks like.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a way to fix it through the game's settings, PS5 video settings, or TCL TV picture settings?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

As soon as I load in I have no weapons, no body, no armor, and my hair isn’t the same either. No matter what save I go to It’s the same on all. I’ve reset the game, then Xbox, then uninstalled the game and re installed them and still won’t fix it

Misc PSA: Disable Hairworks in Remastered (5.01), it has broken lighting

Despite patches, Hairworks seems to still be broken. It used to cause crashes, but even after those were fixed, the lighting on Geralt's hair is completely borked. In some environments, it appears to be black, in others washed out grey, and in general it just doesn't match the environment's lighting. I used to like Hairworks in the previous versions, but in Remastered I just keep it off.

Misc Performance mode looks even better!

Is it just me, or are there more people walking around the streets?

These are demo videos—there are a few bugs here and there, but the most I have to do is save and reload the game.

The important thing is that CDPR is fixing the issues. There’s no such thing as a bug-free game. I pre-ordered Watch Dogs 1 and Cyberpunk 2077—you guys don’t know what a game with bugs really is. 😅

As long as it doesn’t interfere with game progression, there’s no need for all this hate.

Peace, guys! ✌️

Help! Have I ruined my chance of trophies?

I'm on PS5 and I put mods on for only about 10 mins and decided I wanted Trophies more than mods so I removed it, continued playing as normal.

I thought using mods meant no trophies earned during that mod session? Or does it mean as soon as I tried it I've ruined my chances of trophies?

Thanks 😊

Help! DS4 Controller issues

I use a DS4 controller from the PS4 via Steam, but in the menu when I navigate with the D-Pad and also the shoulder pads the game often skips pages and items as if I would double tap. Any ideas?

Help! Why does Geralt's beard have such weird behaviors with Hairworks after the remaster?

Post image

I always loved the option but now it makes his beard black in certain places, and in others it actually glows. Sometimes it's even greenish.
