Self Promotion I feel like the VR industry might be on the verge of another major boom, VR MV---VR MOVIE
My previous post in r/oculusquest got removed because of an inappropriate tag, so I'm reposting it here. I'm not a professional developer and built this entirely with AI, so I might not be able to answer technical questions. The program is open Source,so you can check it out yourself~
Tech has been moving insanely fast lately. Between Suno handling the music generation and Opus assisting with scene logic, paired with modern WebXR, we’re practically at a point where a Three.js scene can be turned into an immersive, zero-install VR music video accessible right through a browser link. Honestly, with 3D Gaussian Splatting evolving this quickly, full browser-based VR movies don't feel that far off either.
The core prompt and concept were straightforward, but with a few critical focuses:
- Leveraging WebXR to bring the web scene into full 3D VR.
- Keeping the hardware limits of standalone headsets like the Meta Quest 2 firmly in mind.
- Tuning visual fidelity and utilizing fixed foveated rendering where possible to maintain smooth, consistent frame rates directly inside the Quest Browser.
The workflow came together after just a few conversational iterations with Opus. On my end, I manually time-stamped every lyric/beat from the Suno-generated track to sync key timeline events with scene transitions. The result is a fully interactive VRMV that runs straight out of the browser without downloading any apps.
If you’re interested in browser-based VR experiences or creative AI pipelines, feel free to hop in via Meta Quest Browser and check it out:
