I know a while back Forest Dragon had some Skaven infantry (see pic). I understand a bunch got pulled and had to be updated but has there been any talk about them revisiting and continuing this line?

Another day, another paper army for Warmaster! One day I'll have them all..

I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew... I went a bit made on demons, got excited, remembered I had started some Skaven too. So I ordered more of them. Now the work begins!!

Demons, plague monks, night runners and clan rats. I'm going to be leaning into easy ways to get these done fast 😂😀😃

Here are a few pics of the two units of Black Orcs that I just finished painting up!

The Orc army is slowly coming together!!

Last weekend I was cleaning out my basement and found my Warmaster army (Chaos), rulebook and magazines. I had forgotten I had this game at all so the memories came rushing back.

On a whim, I searched for Warmaster on Reddit and was excited to not only find a sub about one of my favourite GW games, but to see that it is active, people are still playing, and that there are new armies since I last played.

So what have I missed? Have the rules changed from the original core rulebook? Is there a community set of rules similar to how Blood Bowl fans kept the game alive?

I remember when they announced old world was coming back. I was pumped. I never got into Warhammer Fantasy, but now older, taste more refined, I could easily see myself stepping into the Old World. I was praying that they would take a risk and revamp Warmaster and try fuse together Old World players and Warmaster by making it 10mm.

Around the same time, WARHAMMER TOTAL WAR came out. I got heaps of mates into it. Heaps of those mates LOVED it. We sunk HOURS into that game, co-oping, playing massive battles. Then I told them about Old World coming out. They were equally pumped. I showed them pictures when it got announced and they had the same thoughts that I did - why the hell didn't they try and emulate the look and feel of an EPIC battle by making it 10mm?

I know people push back on this and go "But what most normies who get into the game dont want to paint 10mm, its too hard". Most normies dont want to also paint 100+ models with some basic form of detail just to resemble a small fraction of the epic scale battles that GW has been selling them on the Total War games.

It just feels like such a drop of the ball here. I know its many years too late for this post, probably. But I need to just vent it out there.

I got distracted yesterday by some lovely goblin spider riders, is there any form of forest goblin army list out there, in beta or play test??

Sculpt by Forest Dragon. Painted by me! I am not too experienced with OSL and I didn't want to go extreme so it's a bit subtle. I hope you like!

I was hesitant to share these boys when I realised the cultists look very similar to some real life bad guys. Apologies if anyone finds them offensive. If anything I subconsciously painted my fantasy bad guys in the same colour scheme as real life evil.

Its ya boy Boogs, back at it again.

Unfortunately it's been a lack of painting the past few days as I somehow managed to crack a tooth from tip to root and left it hanging like a zippo lighter - apparently bad enough for surgery in some weeks, but what can ya do.

Until then, I'll keep turning pain into paint.

Under the circumstances, this is the best I could do - touchups will have to wait until later.

Yes yes, I said I would paint Vampire Counts.. then I proceeded to paint up an Orc because Orctober.. But then the call of the Dawi pulled me back from the abyss, so I knocked out a Lord and his two retainers.

Did this one in about 3 hours, and I'm honestly pretty happy for once - a few things to fix and improve, but isn't there always?

Wow. One month of 10mm Warmaster and NMM - it both feels like a lifetime, and as if I started yesterday.

Now, I know they're really small, but seeing them all together like this is a really cool experience. I've been infamous when it comes to finishing projects due to the lethargy that comes with depression (and the brief, fleeting pursuit of a new seratonin high through another new project), but this one I feel like I can actually push on through with!

I want to thank each and every one of you that's encouraged me, given out pointers or constructive feedback, and fed my ego with your applause.

Here's to another month, and then another!
