Tamper alerts on the Vivint Glass Break Sensor almost always trace back to a loose seat on the backplate
A tamper alert on your Glass Break Sensor usually means the detector isn't sitting flush on its backplate. When it sits even slightly off, the tamper switch picks it up and sends an alert.
Disarm your system before you touch it. On the Glass Break Sensor, twist the detector off its backplate and make sure nothing is blocking it from sitting flat against the plate. When you put it back, line it up and twist until all four corners click into place.
The exact removal and reattach steps, including where the tamper switch sits, are in Vivint's guide for the Vivint glass break sensor. That guide covers the Glass Break Sensor, and older models have a separate guide.
If you've had this alert more than once, did reseating it fix it for good, or did it keep coming back?

PSA for AT&T Fiber Users
Thought I'd give a couple of tips for Vivint users with AT&T Fiber. I switched over from Xfinity to AT&T a couple of months ago and it's given me a few issues with Vivint that took some trial and error to resolve.
My first issue was the live camera feed taking 30 seconds to 1 minute to load when I was on my home wi-fi. When my phone would connect to any other network, the cameras would load almost instantly. To solve this, I had to set a custom DNS in my phone settings for my home network. I used Google's DNS which is 8.8.8.8. - this solved my issue instantly, and after that I was able to view my cameras connected to my home wi-fi.
Second issue, this one appeared a few days ago out of the blue. Now my problem was inversed from the original. Any time my phone was on cell data, or a wifi network outside of home the cameras would not load at all. To resolve this, I had to disable AT&T ActiveArmor from my home's wifi completely.
I think AT&T ActiveArmor might have been the root cause of all my issues, but both scenarios were different. Also if you have issues with cameras constantly going offline you may want to consider forcing them to connect to a lower band. On AT&T if you set-up a guest network is strictly runs on 2.4ghz, this band goes further and penetrates through walls better. If you connect your cameras to the primary network it'll switch between 5ghz/2.4ghz which is fine, but 5ghz sometimes has trouble reaching the distance.
Hopefully this helps someone, I'm sure I'll run into another problem or two down the road. It's not just Vivint, I've had my fair share of issues with other systems.
