We really should have won this one

Honestly, I’m a bit torn about this result. A point against Atlético Madrid is never bad, but after that first half, it’s hard not to feel like we left two points on the table.

We started brilliantly, created chances right from the first minute and deservedly went ahead through Leweling. Atlético barely had a chance to settle into the game. Then we concede almost immediately after the break, and even after the red card, we couldn’t find that second goal. Chabot’s header near the end was so close as well.

Still, there’s a lot to be positive about. The atmosphere looked incredible, we went toe to toe with a team like Atlético, and Seimen deserves credit for his Champions League debut.

Seven points from our first three games is a great return, no question. I just wish we had taken all three yesterday.

How are you guys feeling about this one? Happy with the point, or disappointed we didn’t finish them off?
