According to brazilian journalist Thiago Asmar, italian-brazillian player Jorginho (who's famously missed pens denied Italy the chance of going to the 2022 World Cup, a fact that's unrelated but I wanted to bring up anyways) tested positive at the control after the match vs Estudiantes, where he missed a pen on the shootout. The counter-test will occur on october 27 and if it's positive again then the player faces a heavy suspension.

Transfer News Jadon Sancho offered cut-price contract by Getafe. La Liga side would pay former Man Utd winger just over £10,000 each week, a massive cut from his £250,000-a-week days at Old Trafford.

Cash-strapped Getafe have proposed paying Sancho just €400,000 (£335,000) in wages from now until June. The 26-year-old is believed to have been paid around £250,000 a week at United where his contract expired at the completion of the last campaign.

The former England international has been a free agent since then, meaning he can be signed at any time, and is attracted by the idea of playing in La Liga. He recognises it could also be a good shop window to kickstart his career.

The winger has therefore not ruled out joining Getafe, despite wages of just over £10,000-a-week, and wants to meet under-pressure coach José Bordalás before making his final decision. Bordalás has accused the club of failing to deliver on recruitment and squad depth.

Quotes [WELTAMSONNTAG] Uli Hoeneß: “I recently told Vincent that we should really extend his contract again now, even though his current one runs until 2029. If he approached us tomorrow and wanted to do that, I personally would do it immediately.”

Uli Hoeneß criticizes Lennart Karl: "I'm planning to have a serious talk with him. He's far from being a superstar; young players need humility. Comparisons to Olise are clearly not doing him any good; there's still a world of difference between them."

Uli Hoeneß on Harry Kane: "It's looking good that we can reach an agreement with Harry. He's a figurehead of our club. I would be very sorry if he left us. Harry should get the Ballon d'Or. After a season like that, with two titles, so many goals, and reaching the World Cup semi-finals, he would have fully deserved it. He guides our young players and always puts his body on the line. I'm in love with Harry Kane."
