Screenshot [Hyprland] Made my own quickshell to recreate Android 16 UI and chromiumOS shelf
Almost DIED just to create this UI (it's painful), most of these things took a while to create by hand since I'm pretty new with quickshell (2 months+) so I had to look for examples online from other already made shell and came up with a modular approach (yes, I know it's inefficient, but hey, at least it works out in the end, so just bear with it).
The chromium OS shelf though, had to dig through official chromium OS source code (had to clone to my external hard disk, thank god it was 1TB, though it's painful to hear its screaming for mercy on those small files) to find out how the shelf (or named officially 'Ash' WM works) and had to port it over (gave up almost 6 times since it's too hard) (google help me).
Of course, I'll release the dotfiles for these, but not now since it's still buggy and modular approach really uses a ton of RAM (1 process of Quickshell ~ 100MB, and having 5 of them running at the same time isn't ideal)
(I hope this post doesn't get taken down by admins)
(spare me)
Quickshell version: v0.3.2
Device: Chromebook 11 G8 EE
