I was ultralight fishing this morning with my kastking kestrel bfs reel and a dobyns sierra ultra finesse rod. Snagged this monster with a 1/16th ounce joey ultralight jig and mule donkey tail jr!

I like Northland mimic minnows prerigs. So do the fish. But. They ain't cheap and sunfish like to bite the paddle tails off ruining the bait. Anybody know of some cheap small swinbaits that work real well to substitute them?

Hi, I've been wanting to get into using flies with my ultralight spinning gear that's rated for 1gram to 5 grams. Do you have a recommended clear bobber to use that isn't too heavy for my ultralight rods?

I have a 3 day off weekend and wanted to go somewhere to get some nice panfish and dink bass, where I live I am lucky to get a couple gill so I wanted to go somewhere nice, I usually only fish lures and I prefer smaller bodies of water but large lakes / reservoirs are fine as well. I have heard that Lake Pardee is good but any other options is nice, I am located near San Jose/San Fransisco around a 2 hour drive is fine (if anyone has any specific spots or lure recommendations that would be great!)

Just got this rod in, it’s a custom built on a JDM hybrid blank. 4’6” 1-5g with a handle spun up of Bethlehem olive wood. The reel is a cardinal 3 that’s been tuned up with a quick cast, cx mountain kit, lighter/shallower spool, Canaria, line roller, etc. caught a pile of dink trout, but a good feeler for how this does. Was using a 1.25g Colorado spinner and a 2g spoon. Can’t wait for some cooler weather
