Pelagos 39 or BB58 GMT considering my collection? What to add next
So I’ve been watch collection for about 2-3 years now.
Currently have the following:
- SMPc Blue (sold my titanium Seamaster to get this recently)
- Shunbun (my special occasions watch and wedding watch)
- Omega Aqua Terra White Teak Quartz (this is my daily and I love it)
Looking for one final piece to complete a 4 piece collection for the next couple of years before I make the purchase after that. I’m going to sell my 79030B as it’ll clash with the blue Seamaster (but has to get the blue seamaster as it’s been a grail from childhood).
I am torn between the two:
\- Pelagos 39
\- Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT
My brain says the Tudor GMT on the 5 link makes sense as it adds a completely new complication to the collection, however, tried both on store and loved the way the Pelagos fit on wrist and the feel along with the thinness of the case (hasn’t been made as slab sided as the GMT).
However I already have a diver and think it would be a redundant addition from a complication perspective.
Also, if I was to go for another diver then in 2-3 years time I’d either buy a Farer world timer or Longines Spirit Zulu.
With that in mind, what will you guys add? Or maybe a completely different watch than to the ones I am thinking from Tudor?

BB 54 & Pelagos 39. What made you choose one over the other?
I’m in the market to add a second watch to my collection. I’ve been in no rush to add it as I’ve worn one watch daily for the past 8 years. That’s my Seiko Alpinist Sarb017 on a bracelet and sometimes a rubber strap. I wear it working in the trades and everywhere else. To the gym, swimming, biking, hiking, golfing, rowing. You name it. Recently when my Alpinist was being serviced I was watch-less for almost a month. It got me thinking about owning a second watch I wear for everything outside of work.
It was between the BB One 36 blue dial and the BB 54 before. However, as I looked at multiple pictures of both watches day after day. It was clear to me that the BB 54 is the watch I’d be likely to wear more and keep long term as it fits my lifestyle very well. I love the simple design and it somewhat reminds me of my Alpinist with the glit, while being a very different watch.
I’ve never been heavily into divers, however the smaller sizes and design on Tudor speak to my taste. I have a 6.5” wrist. I’m looking for something more sporty with a bit more wrist presence than my Alpinist, slightly reduced thickness, no larger than 40mm. I’m looking for simplicity. I want a watch without a date complication/GMT.
When I look at the Pelagos 39 it’s truly my ideal design. I like the 39mm case size, the simplicity of the dial. A bold black with white indices that create depth, and I think the bit of red text really makes it pop in a subtle way. If it were monochrome, I wouldn’t be interested. I also prefer the larger crown and the fact that it has crown guards too.
HOWEVER…..the biggest issue for me is the titanium. I have always appreciated the heft of a watch on a steel bracelet. While I don’t like a fully polished finish, I appreciate some polishing.

What would you do?
Just picked up the Rolex explorer and kinda think the bb36 is likely to get no wrist time anymore.
Now the question is should I sell the bb36 AND the bb pro, which should equal the new price of a pelagos fxd or a bb58 bronze ( I know they are very different watches but I like both)
Or just keep the bb pro?
Opinions welcome😁

What's everyone else wearing this Saturday?
Swapped over from the Pro to the Pepsi this afternoon 🔵🔴
Questions about Tudor servicing
I recently purchased a 76200 Date Day. It’s probably from the 90s-00s and running great (+4.5s per day) considering. That said I’m always paranoid about waterproofness.
Ive never owned a Tudor before (only Rolex and Seiko) and I’m curious if I send this to Tudor can I specify the only concern I really have are the gaskets and waterproofness? Will they even address waterproofness on a watch that could be maybe almost 30 years old?
I’m also curious what the turn around time has been recently? I’m in the American north east if that matters.

Black Bay 36 Heritage - 17cm / 6.7" wrist
Hi all!
Sharing some wearing experience.
I don't think the 36 should be only kept for the small wrists. On paper it's small and thin. In reality there is a slight slab + the bold dial hands make it pop and louder than a normal 36.
Love:
- Finishing
- ETA mouvement runs +0sec after 8 years (chockingly still more precise than my Coax speedy)
- You forget you are wearing it, it's light!
- The mid case takes all the thickness meaning a shirt sleeve won't block under the midcase like on other watches, it always slides effortless over.
- Strap Monster
- Versatile: from rugged weekend to office, to hipster turtle neck, it looks at home everywhere.
Hate:
- Always compared to the Explorer. My opinion the explo is better but less original and less comfortable... and it wears the crown.
- "it's a great start in watch collecting", "Good if you can't pay the explorer" etc... It's more than this. It's the ultimate Gada
Shoot if you have questions
First Tudor(s)
Recently went with a friend to collect his new Cartier Santos (£££) and was talked into having a "chat" with the Tudor rep.
Well...I'm a sucker for good marketing and ended up purchasing these as my first Tudors.
Initially I wasn't keen on Tudor's designs, but when seen in the flesh they really look the part. Simple, smart and effortlessly cool.
Tudor Bumblebee
Got the text! such a fun watch albeit a dilemma to wear during serious meetings. 😅

10 months Waiting 🥹
Next to my university there’s a reputable pawn shop- mostly dealing with luxury watches and jewellery
(think more tiffany and cartier then gold chains)
Anyways i’ve walked past the shop for 10 months - really eyeing this Tudor , even going in a few times to enquire about the watch , despite this with little room to negotiate-my enquiries amounted to nothing
UNTIL - 4 days ago it was my 22nd Birthday, i don’t really get gifts so I usually buy myself something and by the grace of god this pawn shop still had the watch
The shop owner somewhat recognising that iv enquired about the watch a few times (Months ago i must add) , i managed to buy the watch (box, card and papers / full links) for 3k AUD or 2100 USD
Absolutely phenomenal deal as the asking price was initially 5500 AUD
moreover, being that I’ve eyed the watch for the better part of a year - i’ve done rigorous market research and even i was beyond shockeddddd at the 3k offer as the watch is in pristine condition
funny enough the shop owner when he heard me say it was my bday - legit asked to see my ID to i guess verify if it actually was my bday and then hit me with the 3k offer
im just gassed to finally own a BlackBay and just shocked that patience actually amounted to something 😂😄
Anyways now Im part of the Tudor community (in my head this is a flex 💪) 😁😁😁😁😁

GMT Travel Companion
Brought the 58 GMT to another state while traveling this week/weekend. It’s becoming one of my primary travel watches on top of being one of my most worn everyday ones since I got it. The power reserve really came in handy too because I didn’t wear it for a couple days and picked it back up today and it was still ready to go.

Would you own both the BB58 GMT and BB Pro Opaline?
I currently own the BB58 GMT on the five-link bracelet with a custom bezel and I’m seriously considering adding the BB Pro Opaline.
I know there’s a lot of overlap, but I absolutely love the Opaline dial and think the two watches have very different personalities. I’ve tried the Pro on, and the thickness doesn’t bother me.
Would you own both?
Poll options:
- Yes, they’re different enough.
- No, too much overlap.
- Sell the BB58 GMT and get the Pro.
- Keep the BB58 GMT and buy something else.

Dune vs Black Ranger
Hey everyone !
I’m torn between the Dune and Black Ranger. Was hoping to get thoughts on it from you all. Also of those with a dune or black one. What they like or if they wished they went with the other.
Thanks!

His and her’s weekend wedding watches
galleryWent with sub instead of P39, my favorite watch in the collection. Gave my wife the Tudor Royale as a push present. Such an underrated line in Tudor’s lineup!

Does the Ranger 36 wear bigger?
I only have the BB One 36 and the Ranger 36, but feel like it looks slightly larger. Am I the only one?

Rubber strap Rec?
Can anyone recommend a good rubber strap for the Tudor Pelagos Ultra 43mm? I’ve been searching but haven’t found anything I really like that’s specifically designed for the watch. I’m also surprised I haven’t been able to find an actual Tudor rubber strap made for it.
If anyone has any recommendations or has found a strap that fits and looks great on the Pelagos Ultra, I’d appreciate the suggestions!

BB58 6-month review
I bought this exactly 6 months ago and have worn it every single day for 12-14 hours per day. I absolutely love it and consider to be the single best purchase I’ve made in my life. It feels (and is) premium, and the golden glint makes it irresistibly attractive under direct sunlight. I find myself periodically looking at it and moving my wrist around to play with the lighting. And I am also impressed with the accuracy. For the past 4 months, it has lost 0.15 seconds per day on average.
But the best thing about the watch is just how “right” it feels on my wrist. It’s understated luxury, extremely well made, and it fits perfectly with the “premium utility” philosophy that I try to follow with all physical purchases. It is “just right” without feeling cheap, lacking, or overly extravagant.
This is my first ever watch, and I purchased a full metal g shock last month to wear during workouts. My next (and likely final) watch purchase will likely be an Omega worldtimer. While that is a more luxurious piece, I doubt it’ll evoke the same feelings that the Tudor did.
