BB54 accuracy gets significantly worse as power reserve decreases, anyone else experienced this?
I’ve been testing the accuracy of my Tudor Black Bay 54 because I had a feeling it was running a little off and I’ve noticed something pretty weird.
My first test was with the watch resting face down. It gained around 2-3 seconds over the first 23 hours which I was pretty happy with, but when I checked again 6-8 hours later it was suddenly at +10 seconds.
I thought maybe I had misread the seconds hand so I decided to run another test.
This time I fully wound the watch, synced it with an atomic clock and left it resting crown up. I only picked it up briefly to check the time.
Test results (crown up):
0 hours → 0 seconds
12 hours → +0.5 to +1 second
23 hours → +1 second
36 hours → -1 to -2 seconds
40 hours → -3 seconds
47 hours → -12 seconds
What’s confusing me is that it seems to keep time really well initially but then starts losing time pretty significantly as the power reserve decreases. It went from only 3 seconds slow at 40 hours to 12 seconds slow at 47 hours.
The watch is still under warranty and has never been dropped or serviced.
I know this isn’t normal behaviour, but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar with their BB54 or another Tudor movement. If so, did you ever figure out what was causing it or end up sending it in for warranty service?

Anyone else get theirs?
I have not taken this off the wrist in three weeks. Love the design updates. And even better lume than the first generation.

BB one 36 vs rolex 36 op or explorer
Hey guys,
I'm a dude who's stayed away from the crown for the longest time, but wearing nice watches from some well-off watch collector friends, I realize that there are a few watches that I do like a lot and fit well on my bony wrist.
One of them was the tudor bb36 one (specifically the blue sunburst or anthracite, I did like the diamond indices as well) or a rolex. I'm not sure if the rolex would be more comfortable, and I remember that the tudor was one of the most confortable watches I put on in 2023. So I'm not sure which would be more comfortable for a bony wrist.
I'm looking for reviews of similar 6 inch wrists that made similar decisions.

BB58 Discussion
I recently got rid of my Tudor 41mm GMT (pepsi black dial) because I didn’t love how it wore on me. I love my BB58 and the way it wears. I want to add a GMT back to the collection. But. GMT master II is out of the question due to the grey prices.
Would it be crazy to get a BB58 GMT for the collection? I’ve loved the new release on jubilee. Just worried it’s too similar to what I have.
Anyone have both? If so, do they feel different enough?
Also open to other suggestions.

Best Watch for Autumn🍁
The BB58 looks incredible regardless of the time of year, but there’s a special vibe it gives off in the fall. The warm undertones go perfectly with autumn colors, and it’s the watch I wear the most this time of year. What’s your go-to fall watch??

My first Tudor!!
Finally got my first Tudor, first time getting to handle them in the metal yesterday and whilst I did enjoy the BB Pro and the BB58 GMT, this Black Bay 58 burgundy took my breath away. 24 hours with it on wrist and I can totally understand why every watch person on YouTube and in other reviews raves about T-Fit and the bezel action. Not to mention it’s just a beautiful watch to look at!

First Tudor!!
I’ve always been a big fan of Rolex. Before I was able to get my hands on one, I considered Tudor a few times, but could never bring myself to buy the Tudor equivalent of the Rolex I actually wanted. Eventually picked up a Datejust and a GMT-Master II over the last couple of years.
Fast forward to a recent trip to Waikiki. I decided to stop by the AD to check out the pink and blue chrono. Ended up having a great conversation with the sales associate, and later that day she offered me this Blue Lagoon.
I honestly didn’t even know this watch existed, but as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it. What made it even better was that it looked just as good on my wife’s wrist as it did on mine. We decided to buy it as a watch we could both wear, which is pretty cool as it’s the first piece of jewelry we’ve ever bought to share.
Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. It’s been getting more wrist time than my other watches lately and a surprising number of compliments. Never thought my first Tudor would end up being one of my favourites!

Anyone have the same problem? 😅
Used to have a watch rotation then got a Tudor and now It doesn’t leave my wrist, it’s gorgeous.
Can’t kill this thing either. Not even my Marathon GSAR takes wear this well.

A Tudor Submariner, Apollo recovery, and why we still care about mechanical watches
I was invited to join Tudor and a group of journalists in San Diego last month, to talk about the service history of the Submariner in particular. The highlight was getting to hear from and chat with two retired UDT sailors who worked the capsule recovery missions for the Apollo space program.
An incredible evening with a few stunning old Subs on hand to investigate, too.
